I would like to meet the engineering team who designed these window screens and the process of putting them back in. They deserve a good ass whooping...single most frustrating thing to deal with next to folding a fitted bed sheet.
Thank you for this video. I just installed an American Craftsman 40"x38" window that I ordered with a full screen. I was struggling trying to figure out how to remove the screen during the install, and Home Depot online was no help (at least that I could find). Based on your video, I turned the window over and placed it on a table; then I removed the window from the back (outside) using your technique; slightly modified. After installing the window, I dropped the lower sash (double hung) and reinstalled the screen from the inside; once again, using your technique. it worked great!!! All in all, this video saved me a LOT of frustration. Thank You!!!
This video is a lifesaver. My uppermost condo windows face north and away from the sun, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get the screen out to remove moss and other debris that accumulated in the sill over the years that caused water to pool and occasionally seep in. Thank you!
This video is very helpful. What's important to note, which was not presented verbally but shown visually, is that when you pull to the left, tilt the right side of the screen outward, not inward to remove. At least, that's how it came out for me.
The tip about tilting down the sashes was really helpful, but ultimately I'm still not able to get mine back in. There seems to be no give vertically with mine. These windows are up much higher than I can get with a ladder so my only option is pulling the screen inward and so far the best I can do it get 3 corners in the grooves and it was frustrating even to get that far. I don't see how I'm going to get the last one popped back in.
Thank you for the easy tutorial. I'm having my house painted and want to protect the screens. Your tutorial helped me pop out four screens in under 15 minutes. Now, I hope reinstallation will be that simple. I'll update my comment after re-installing them.
Taylor Phillips tried, not very useful, my parents CHECK my window. try taking it off in the daytime and just put it back when they leave for work or such
Agree this is an awful design. The video needs to redone. At about 1:30 it only has a zoom in on a little teeny weeny corner. How about showing how we can actually clear the frame for the parts not visible. I give this video a D
Good news is we've managed to repair the damage caused to our frame by following this advice. Bad news is we're still not any closer to getting our screens out. Cannot recommend this video.
I'm glad the video showed that the bar should be on the inside and how it can be used to remove the screen. The window installer's explanation left a lot to be desired.😅

I agree with you. Plus if there is no crossbar it's a real b****.

i have full window screens and they are annoying to put back. never again.
Thank you. I don’t like the Pella screen design, but I appreciate your explanation.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was beginning to think I would have to replace the screen material while on a ladder.
Hey I’m back, is there a way I can just break the screen somehow but make it look like it’s fine
Taylor Phillips tried, not very useful, my parents CHECK my window. try taking it off in the daytime and just put it back when they leave for work or such
I didn’t know my windows can come out and I was shook when I tried it out. Thank you for this wonderful surprise
Thanks for this video. My cat had no trouble pushing the screen out. I, however, needed help. Your advice worked like a charm.
I’m trynna sneak out and it’s way too loud low key
Taylor Phillips do it in the daytime when your parents are at the grocery store

Just grow up already or you trying to get pregnant and dumped lmao

Don’t ever take the screens out on these otherwise you’ll want to drown yourself slowly
Thank you for this video ! Works like a charm !!
Thanks this was what I needed.
Instructions are clear, easy to understand, and false

Mine still won’t open
Great helpful video to do it the right way!
