MERCEDES BENZ C300 RADAR SENSOR FAULT

THIS MERCEDES BENZ HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE FRONT COLLISION RADAR SENSOR. NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE SENSOR DUE TO BROKEN POWER WIRE AND BROKEN COMMUNICATION WIRE AT THE MAIN DISCONNECT CONNECTOR RIGHT SIDE OF THE FRONT PUMPER. THIS IS A VERY GOOD PLACE TO LOOK AT FIRST IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THIS KIND OF COMMUNICATION PROBLEM WITH FRONT RADAR ON THESE C300 MERCEDES BENZ.

Thank you for this wonderful video, did you have to reprogram the control module with updated software vis the Official Mercedes Benz server ? or were you able to do that with an aftermarket scan tool ?

The after market scanner can do the work.

First check the Communication bars.
In some cases the soldering on will crack and cause communication issues
All you have to do is reflow them.

Thank you. I am facing the same problem now. Do you mean that you took the connector out? Just wonder how did you connected the two ends of each wire. By the way, I ever measured the resistance between green wire and yellow/green wire. The reading was 57 ohms. It indicates some continuity between the two lines. Is it normal or not? Your response will be appreciated.

i don't know whether you are still waiting for a reply ? but if the wires are 'connected into the circuit they will give a different reading depending on if the ignition is off and the can bus is asleep ? if the ignition is 'ON' then do NOT put an ohmeter across in parallel across the leads,as you will destroy the meter! it's the same as measuring Current flow, which can only be done in series, not in parallel . Electric flow is really weird, as it takes the path of least resistance and you will get funny readings if it is wired through various electronics, ie; Capacitors, inductors, transistors and diodes.
