I’ve done this with my locs for about 2 years on and off and it’s pretty handy Only tip I’d have to give is don’t do this style to tight or to often Some locs might not handle it well
no she wore the style for a few weeks with no complaints that i know of! it definitely was a lot of braids though as she had a lot of locs in the first place
They hurt and made my head itch I can only keep them in for around a week. The braids pull on your loc’s so it causes tension on your scalp.(this is how I feel about them) next time I’ll try some twist over my locs so it’s not as much tension.
@@majinn2494 gotta wash soak your braid hair ot get pretreated hair.. braid hair, crochet hair etc has lye and other chemicals on it. Thats what causes the itching. Apple cidet vinegar soak or soak with your shampoo mixed with conditioner.. youll see how nasty the water is. All these years and these beauticians are letting iur hair get ate up. I wash all my hair.. never had itching, chemical burns or rash since..
I would say so but I would suggest waiting until the locs has started locking up… so like 6 months or so after you started them . Not immediately after you start them just to give your locs time to actually do its thing and form
Her locs are gorgeous 🥰 braids came out fire !!!

Is it heavy?
@@sharellhunt5825 really depends on what kind of hair you use to braid, I’d recommend something in the kinky area

How did you make the loop to start the braid?
Love seeing this right here 🎉

Is that painful? It seems like the weight would be so heavy 😵💫

It's no different than having them attached to non loc'd hair. Braids aren't heavy at all

@@majinn2494This is my current situation. They hurt 😩 They were not done tight but still so much tension from the weight.
How do you hide your locs if your locs all the loc? My locs are medium size.
Can you do this style over starter locs?
I would say so but I would suggest waiting until the locs has started locking up… so like 6 months or so after you started them . Not immediately after you start them just to give your locs time to actually do its thing and form
