The Earthquaker Devices Disaster Transport Delay is an analog voiced delay with 625 ms of delay time, modulation, and nothing but old school tape echo with all the inherent idiosyncrasy of those old devices. This is an anti-modern styled delay nothing but vintage tone that you listened to all those years ago on vinyl. This delay is perfect for clean and dirt signals as well. The unique Tone control also works as a noise filter and lets your overdriven tones to shine through the mix without getting muddy. The Tone control allows you to remove common noise problems when hyper-extending the circuit so give your signal more highs with longer delay times. The Mix control lets you boost the effected signal to almost 4 times the original signal level, and selecting Modulation allows you to go from very subtle chorus-like pitch shifting to maddening tremolo speeds. Use the Depth knob to set the depth of the modulation to the delay line, and the Rate knob to set the speed of the modulation. The Repeats knob allows you to from one single repeat to hallucinogenic self-oscillation with some creative tweaking. With the modulations switch, you can turn on your modulation effects on the fly go from unaffected tape echo sounds to utterly nausea inducing modulation with just a stomp on the switch. - proguitarshop.com/store/earthq...
The guy who makes these pedals lives just a few minutes away from me. It's pretty cool seeing his stuff show up on gear sites now
I saw Jamie Stillman, the man behind Earthquaker, perform with his band Relaxer a few weeks ago. He had a homemade wooden pedalboard that was entirely stocked with Earthquaker pedals -- it was a sea of little spherical flashing lights. And you wouldn't believe the sounds that he made with them.
I think those angel wings fit on this pedal quite perfectly.
I LOVED the sound you got when you kicked in the modulation at 4:55. Sorta like creepy carnival music.
This is a very U2-ish delay. Glad you played some, that's great stuff.
I am in love with this pedal all of the sudden.
oh my god, this delay is beautiful sounding
Andy, I think I could listen to you play all day long, especially when you are demoing delays. It's a joy to me.
Wow...That`s a hell of an AMAZING pedal.
Analog tape echo heaven!!!
just got my Disaster Transport from you guys, can't wait to play it!
Just bought this through your sale today. Can't wait to get it, Andy! :)
I feel I MUST thank Andy and all the guys at PGS for introducing me to this breathtaking pedal. Just got mine and I literally can't stop playing it, I use it even when I don't need it. Without you I would have never got to know of its existence. Thank you Andy!
this is a great sounding delay. by the way, i like the way you used the delay with what your playing...its very tasteful
Awesome demo as usual. Earthquaker is my most favorite pedal company ever. Im getting a Sea Machine for xmas and then one of these badboys a little later. I cannot wait to combo them.
This pedal sounds pretty amazing.
Just bought this! Awaiting arrival!
Holy shit, awesome Edge tones. I want this thing.
Wow, that sounds fantastic.
I'm pretty sure that Andy ripped someone's jugular out with his bare hands before 2:46. That's why his hands are bloody looking.
+1 for . . . hell of an AMAZING pedal
this thing is so damn cool.
My god, what a demo.
Can you tell me what overdrive pedal your using for the sound at 3:10 (An Cat Dubh song)? It sounds spot on incredible!
I really want this.
Well this had a lot of work to do to come close to the Malekko 616 ... and I think it managed it.
Now, which to choose? Helps please?
Nice.
I'm diggin The Edge rifs. Ohio kicks ass
@ProGuitarShopDemos yeah nice! :) i have always preferred vegas before premiere. nice that you use it! :D
Wow, I'm sold .... Akron Ohio too,
whoooOoo Hooooo !!! Right on!!
I love the U2 riffs. Great Demo guys! This is on my short list!
Jeje....first song One Tree Hill - U2
Amazing pedal..
What is the rockabilly sounding song played at 5:40 to demo the vibrato slapback?
Andy-what was the dirt pedal used on this demo. Especially during the section that starts at 3:10?
@simpsons2170
Yeah I had an original one of these too for the most part I liked it except for the fact it would make a pop sound every time I engaged it. The modulation in this is far better it seems, you can actually hear it more clearly. A big improvement, I think I may try to get one of these new versions.
So many knobys!!
Hey andy when are these pedals gonna be back in stock?
Could someone explain me how to use the modulation knob and why you need it? I 'm doing something wrong and can't understand how to use it.
@PaulBarte I think he played that on an earlier delay demo - and I think PGS tries to use different songs for different pedals. It would sound great on this thing too though.
@garikk77 Do you mean the footswitch or the pots or both???
You know it'd be really awesome if you guys could add what songs Andy plays - Often I've really wanted to know what he's playing!
"One Tree Hill' by U2 :)
What are your settings for the sound starting at 3:10?
you use Sony Vegas for editing the vids huh? I recognize that "tv effect" :)
Whats the name of the first song in the background?
Andy would you take this over a Ekko 616?
Does this pedal have the thickness of a Boss DD 5?
Does this have trailing repeats?
@DemoColorScheme Didn't Andrew (tubescreamer) use one of these for a while? I wonder why he doesn't use it anymore.
hey, the delay time is 300ms to 625 or 0ms to 625?: thanx!
Suddenly my current delay pedal just seems useless without that "modulation" switch aye... Man how I want one of these... time to sell on some pedals...
@tazzboy77 look for the older version of the Disaster Trasport, it takes 9v batteries.
An Cat Dubh for a sec there!
I've never quite understood this pedal. A strange dark-horse in the world of delays for sure.
An Cat Dub!!! nice!
This or TC Electronic Nova Repeater?
yeah thats the real U2 boy is there best album and there first
why people who make this kind of delay demos starts playing something like the edge?
why no tap tempo? why?! :((
this there anything like this with a much longer delay, the boss dd-20 has almost 6 seconds delay time when you slow the pattern down.
I know this is set up differetly but I would be really super impressed if it were longer.
Uploaded on WINSday. Coincidence? I think not!
these pedals give me a head ache after a while = /
I like beanz wiv ketchup
one tree hill
MXR Carbon Copy eat your heart out...
All it needs is a vc.
Delay pedal -- gee, why so much U2?
I think I'd take this over a Malekko 616.
i'm sick of andy opening demos of delay pedals with muted strums
