I'm an Akron native and this is difficult for me to say. Aside from this pedal, the hoof fuzzes, and the Night wire, the rest are too out there for me. In fact, I wouldn't have even given the Night wire a chance until I saw your demo of it. Tremolo isn't my thing, but envolope filter and phase shifting is. A testament to your demo skills. Cheers!
9 years later and I'm still under the spell of this magnificent pedal. EQD really makes models with an organic, deep sound. Well, I've ordered one ! Thank you Brett !!!! 🎉
I've had this pedal for about a year now and it's still one of my favs! I like to crank the delay time and set it just low enough in the mix so there's a constant ambience under my solos. It really fills out the space beautifully if you need it.
Cheers Brett, great review and confirmation (yours, 4 weeks ago) that this pedal's simply awesome. Seeing as your reviews are highly regarded around here ;-) I finally went out and bought one of these babies today. Can't wait till it gets here to get stuck into some serious experimentation. Thanks again mate. Jerry from Tassie
Hello Brett, I really appreciate not only the way you play, but even more the way you explain the pedals you test. Looking for a good delay that's simple, effective and warm, I naturally turned to your channel. And I must say I'm not disappointed. This model is simply magnificent. I can only imagine what it must sound like with an overdrive in front of it. Thank you for helping us to build our pedalboard with so much skill. Happy new year 🎉 and greetings from France.
Thank you for your kind and encouraging message. I appreciate it greatly. Happy New Year to you and all in your beautiful country which I hope to visit again, sometime soon. All the best.
Hello Brett, Great playing on 'My Favorite Things" also I have seen many of your videos, and I believe you demonstrate the more musical side of these pedals. Peace
Quite right too😊 Love the song choice - great playing... Great ambience! I currently have two pedals doing this job: Subdecay Spring Theory and Hermida EPH-3 both amazing pedals... This is SO immediate though.
Talk about entertaining, this is what I like about Bergs, we're supposed to be honing in as musicians to gather up all the juicy little tips, but I just get such a kick out of the approach, thanks for 'my favorite things' very subtle. It's a smokey pedal that works it's way in very sneeky. Out of this corner for a second, mate you would have to be one of the most entertaining rockabilly country guitarist I've ever heard and that ain't many as it's not really my thing, but it's a lot of fun!
Considering how fantastic this pedal is I can't wait to see more demo's of the new Avalanche Run from EQD. Seems the Avalanche Run will be a slightly more featured version of this great pedal. Great demo, man. :)
I can't imagine my pedalboard without the EarthQuaker Devices Dispatch Master and the Hermida EPH-3. The Dispatch Master works perfectly with both acoustic and electric guitars; it also sounds great in conjunction with some organic-sounding overdrive pedals.
Resi Saputra They're both great; however, my guess is that the Dispatch Master is a smart echo/reverb choice if you want to save space on your pedal board. I somehow find this pedal more discrete and transparent for most applications.
I was interested in this pedal until a secondhand diaster SR came up for 200 pounds on eBay :) was slighty above my budget but I felt I would regret passing that one by :) its now in the post :)
Everyone knows by now that the pedal is excellent for ambient sounds. Why not play some overdriven sounds to show if it can serve as a Reverb and Delay pedal for every day and other music styles? Would that have been too much to ask?
sensible format too. These giant format pedals with 20 controls are too big and too fussy. Great tones with simple controls mean you can focus on playing
Hey Brett, I read some people have issues with clipping in extreme settings (like MAX repeat, MIN time) have you had issues? any advice? I seem to get it when I use the pedal on bass guitar
Its a great idea to mix both in one pedal and it sounds well done too. I imagine if I was starting out with a board this would be the first pedal to get and then a TS or transparent od. It sounds fantastic and very useable through its range.
Nice demo, as usual, but I would like to hear this pedal in front of a distorded amp. None has done that up to now. Is this pedal only good with clean tones and ambiant music?
+atomic6120 That's a very valid question and the answer is that I would rate this pedal up in my top 5 along with Eventide, Fractal Audio, Waves and Keeley (various mediums but all top-notch). It's a definite keeper and I use it often.
2 years on, I'm still saying this is the best of its kind for a reverb/delay combo in a simple interface.
Brett, in your opinion who would win the race between this pedal and the new Wampler?
I agree

I have my ckk space station reverb and I love it but after seeing your demo m thinking of selling and pick the earthquake.

I love the way you put chords together.
This will become a classic pedal. Very well thought out, easy to use, sound wonderful, offers so much. Win.
Well said

I used to do this with holy grail in fx loop of memory man TT, but super finicky, tough to nail for every room/mix, thinking about this for sure
Sounds about how I would use it Just ordered it so coming soon
i have this pedal and it is killer in my set up this pedal is gold
My favourite things! Didn't expect to hear that here. Awesome.
I just got this pedal and I can't believe I went so long without it.
I was going to buy it at my local guitar shop today but bought a JHS morning glory and JHS angry Charlie instead. Perhaps I'll get it next week.
Brett, still one of my favourite demos ever. I have finally just bought one!
these are a few of my favourite things....
Thanks for the demo. Everytime I think I have all the pedals I need I see a video by you and I need more. Cheers.
lovely playing - lovely demo!
I know it's not a spring reverb pedal, but thank you for showing how close it can get. Sincerely.

Incredibly beautiful - my ears love this tone // heat and the tube lamp sounds
I'm still saying that this is the best of its kind combo reverb / delay in a simple interface / very warm signal output / as an analog
Wow, I found your channel by accident wanting to find a nice demo of this pedal and dug up a total gem. Great work man! Keep it up! Subscribed
My favorite pedal !
Looks like a great pedal, and what a wonderful demonstration!
This pedal is brilliant
Those are a few of my favourite chords. Damned nice rendition. TEACH ME, MASTER!

I just bought it. This pedal is amazing. See you soon in Brittany 😊
I have been looking at reverb and delay pedals and the choices are mind boggling. This seems really simple.
Hello Brett, Great playing on 'My Favorite Things" also I have seen many of your videos, and I believe you demonstrate the more musical side of these pedals. Peace
Just put an order in to Sweetwater for this today.
Can't wait !
Nice demo! The delay seems to be very good and it sounds like if you had a modulation. Reverb is good also. I really like it!
Only video i could find where you make parameter changes on the fly. I like hearing this in a review. Thanks
Great tone and song choice and style.
Quite right too😊

Muy buen video, excelente sonido del dispatch master. Continúa con videos así, saludos desde México.
This is my all-time favourite pedal. Instant shoegaze.
You are most welcome sir!
Quite nice Brett! The pedals not too bad either!
Excellent guitar player
Great review. Thanks!
Selling my JHS Panther Analog and all its features to get this streamlined, fantastic pedal.

+Daryl Comline Hey, thanks Daryl. They're the kindest words I've heard for some time. Thanks, I appreciate it. :)

***** Indeed! My favourite pedal of all time.
+Shawn Dimery +Mr.Achonta do you guys recommend dispatch master or el capistan?
Resi Saputra
They're both great; however, my guess is that the Dispatch Master is a smart echo/reverb choice if you want to save space on your pedal board. I somehow find this pedal more discrete and transparent for most applications.

The hills are alive.
Using the vibrato bar when you have only the delay dialed up makes it difficult to hear just how much of the effect is from the pedal.
If i'm not mistaken, a 100% wet sound (no dry signal) is not possible with this pedal?
Cheers
Depends on if your amp has a knob for that on the back, which I should mention most do not. Most the time though, you are correct
No, it’s about 60/40, tops.
I want this so bad!
Damn, Sound of Music? NOICE
I think this pedal would be perfect for a grab and go board!
Everyone knows by now that the pedal is excellent for ambient sounds. Why not play some overdriven sounds to show if it can serve as a Reverb and Delay pedal for every day and other music styles? Would that have been too much to ask?
Absolutely perfect and beautiful opening. Wow dude...
sensible format too. These giant format pedals with 20 controls are too big and too fussy. Great tones with simple controls mean you can focus on playing
Is that thaw song that goes, "these are just some of my favourite things".
Brett can you make another video using over drive and distortion on an amp and a pedal please?
Compare to Nux Atlantic which is better ?
The Dispatch Master rules them all in my opinion. Special sound.
@@BrettKingman thanks Brett
Oh, just saw Te rest of the video, nevermind, and it is a very cool version of the song
Hey Brett, I read some people have issues with clipping in extreme settings (like MAX repeat, MIN time) have you had issues? any advice? I seem to get it when I use the pedal on bass guitar
Is the pedal going into the front of the amp, with no effects loop?
Yep.
Thanks, I think I am going to purchase one!
I appreciate the info Brett!
Alright. Looks like I'm, getting one these. Simple and easily adjustable in live situations. (sorry about the grammar)
Its a great idea to mix both in one pedal and it sounds well done too. I imagine if I was starting out with a board this would be the first pedal to get and then a TS or transparent od.
It sounds fantastic and very useable through its range.
Where’s the gained up tones?
Hello! It's beautiful. Does anyone know the name of this song?
A Few Of My Favourite Things. One of the classics from Sound Of Music. True! :D
Thank you!
V1, V2, or V3 the desirable one?
is it good for ambient swells?
I thought that was a great review AND I liked your playing too. Rare guitar - is it fitted with a Mastery bridge? Thanks, J
Thanks, Jason. Yep, it is a CIJ that has had the pickups replaced with AVRI's and a Mastery bridge. Cheers.
Nice Job Brett, Cheers!
Nice demo, as usual, but I would like to hear this pedal in front of a distorded amp.
None has done that up to now.
Is this pedal only good with clean tones and ambiant music?
Not sure if I can/should ask this....but out of all the Reverb and/or reverb + features pedals...do you have a top 3? This pedal seems pretty rad.
+atomic6120 That's a very valid question and the answer is that I would rate this pedal up in my top 5 along with Eventide, Fractal Audio, Waves and Keeley (various mediums but all top-notch). It's a definite keeper and I use it often.
Brett, I think you're the best demonstrator out there. Now what can you play that yours?
What version is this one?
My wife was just singing this song today.
I bet in that moment you felt like the luckiest guy in the world? Love this tune. (My favourite things)
Thank you Brett. This pedal is wonderful, and your cover of this song, sublime.
Is this a crafted or made in japan, Brett?
It's handmade in the USA.
mardita pobreza :( .
Ale Castillo jajajaj
