That ufo is nuts. Side note.. I patterned the bioammo 8s at 20 yards out of the code black upland and it was a killer pattern I also patterned bioammo 1 1/8 steel 5s and that patterned better then any of the high end lead small game loads i put it up against. I have been super impressed with bioammo so far.. anyhow great video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I like that UFO for Turkey. That’s what I’ll go with next year I think. I’ll have to check out the code black or passing for the geese. Another great test thanks guys!
The Muller "passing" is designed for peak performance out to 50 yards. The "ufo" is designed for the "Outer Limit" target beyond 50 yards. The "ufo" is going to be tight at 40 yards because it has not had enough room to bloom at that range. Franchi furnishes a shim kit that has the potential to resolve your POI issue.
it looks like your gun shoots high and left. i have been through about a dozen shotguns over the the last couple of years and FINNALY got one that shoots to point of aim (with all of my chokes). one thing i learned is to look at the back of the vent rib, if the rear of the rib is raised higher than the receiver (think benelli) the gun is going to pattern high. i also believe the mag tube has to be installed PERFECTLY straight from the factory to get perfect point of aim. a good way to check point of aim is to shoot a couple rifled slugs at 50 from a bench.
Maybe those chokes are too tight and they are blowing out the pattern. I found that out with my gun a mid range choke patterns far better with steel shot
Neither pattern is blown out here, just the ufo is way to tight of a pattern for my liking and the mamba just didn’t perform like it did with the apex Can’t wait to keep testing both of these!
Great test guys second one definitely did better over all . Good luck hunting. Archery here pa just open in 2b 5c 5d for deer in bear. And pa elk open up in September if ur lucky draw a elk Archery tag
If you lowered the velocity to 1350 on the steel shot it would also pattern better. However, that ufo is not intended for 40yrds keep that in mind. My beretta A400 xplor with the passing choke shooting Hevi Metal #4 3in drops geese and even better with Boss #4 3in.
Can you do the same choke test but with the Winchester super X and Federal blue box. Up here in Canada these two brands are the cheapest we have unless you guys have the challengers down there
I had a sx4 20 ga that shot a 60/40 pattern with all its factory chokes but with a carlsons long beard and carlsons mid range choke it shot way over point of aim. With the Turkey choke it was easily 2ft high at 40.
Do you know if patternmaster does military/veteran discount? I think I might have to order one of these direct from patternmaster for my supernova and there’s only two other stores I found online that have them and shipping is horrendous
I have some pictures of my factory mod, jebs .685 and the Carlson. The Carlson throws a more open pattern obviously because it’s .700 but it’s throws a beautiful perfect circle pattern everytime.
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I have a jebs .690, .695 and Carlson white wing IM laying around if you want to borrow them. I know you’ve done the .685 already
Mamba had a typical pattern for steel loads. I’d give it an A. Not gonna be noticed for duck/geese. Wish I had a picture of those horridly patterns from hyper Sonics. Some how nothing changed. Such as lead, poa. That ufo choke is ridiculous. Basketball sized patterns. Geeze. Maybe carry a second gun with that choke. Call it the chaser gun for sailer geese/duck. Not much running on your end. Cripples wouldn’t get far. Wouldn’t have to get that close either. Damn that choke is ridiculous.
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA awesome. because I haven't been able to much of anything on them. before I buy one I would love to see what patterens other people are getting. especially the amount they cost. thanks 🦆🦆🦆
I hear that they’re expensive but to me that ufo would be better suited for turkey with how tight it shoots… But that’s the beauty of patterns everyone has a different want!
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA it’s always the shooter. How it’s held(pressure right or pressure left and shoulder contact during recoil). Everyone is built different and hold differently. I do agree with some points but I disagree that it doesn’t change POI changing your setup as we have seen to many cases of it even with the gun zeroed in a free state and shot in the same free state which means it indeed wasn’t the shooter at all at the cause I do where you’re coming from though
Also being a machinist I know first hand how machining metals goes with stress in the material from both the forging process and or machining process also tolerances come into play as well Now that directly effects the chokes/barrels etc and can change how they shoot from one to the next With the shells it’s the same concept as it is human made they can vary as well which also can change how they shoot So your mindset can be accurate it also is incorrect as you didn’t apply it to every variable in the equation
Thats the best lighting for seeing the pattern from a distance!
Yessir it was ahaha
Enjoying your videos, good info!
Appreciate that man we do our best!
Had to shim my 20ga franchi in order to bring the point of impact down . Great video guys 👍🏾
I think I’m gonna be doing that with my 12 gauge

Thanks man the timber vs duck is coming with it just gotta get some other tests in!
Blue Collar Outdoors USA take your time I know you’re busy.. just sharing my new love for bioammo
We will get it in there!
Bioammo are known for their tight patterns - apparently the steel 3's are even better performers than the steel 5's

A nother great video guys, that muller is a good choke for turkey, every test with it has a tight patterns.
Well it is for turkey as well, and I can see that potential lol

I’ll give that a go, it’s gotta be that I’m burying down and it’s consistently high left or too high

Always order straight from them is my recommendation they take care of their customers
I believe they do, I’m unsure of how much it is
Can you pattern the Girsan MC312 using the Carlson Whitewing chokes LM and IM with standard dove loads? Thanks!
I got the white wing IM and love it

Chokes, guns, shotshells don’t shoot high, low, left, right. Operators do. Fact.
Incorrect
Why does POI change with a zeroed reflex when you change chokes or loads or both? 🤔🤔
