Chrome OS is the future, Windows is a mess and macOS is overpriced. However it depends on what programs you want and I only want some basic apps so I'm good with chrome OS
I completely agree with you! That was kinda my overall point of the video. There is nothing wrong with Macs of PC's, but I think the vast majority of people really will be just fine with Chrome OS. Plus for those of us who are known as family tech support, it makes life so much easier when they have a Chromebook.
@@sriramsundar8388 I'm not denying the Pixelbook is overpriced, but you can get great productive Chromebooks to give you what you need for as low as £200-300. the cheapest Macbook starts at around £1000
@@NathanKeen you can get the cheapest software on Mac. Like FCPX and LPX are the cheapest softwares for video and musical editing. Apple offers cheap but quality softwares so their devices and hardwares are expensive. And Windows? I've been using Windows as my only OS as their laptops are cheap when compared to Mac. Productivity side I can't find a reason that they're better than Macs but on the gaming side, Windows is the only one. No one is the competitor. I can't find a reason why people choose Chromebooks. You can get a decent Windows laptop for the same price. And if you want linux, you can still install Linux on a Windows Notebook. The quantity of UWP apps might be less on Windows 10 but they're well optimized for mouse than Android apps on Chromebook. Using Android apps on a Chromebook feels like using BlueStacks. Heck even bluestacks is smooth when compared to chromeOS. And if you say light games, I have an Android phone that can run games very well. If I need a big display I can just screen mirror to my TV with a controller connected to my phone and I'd enjoy an Android TV gaming experience while not even owning one. And If you say that I don't have a desktop browser or chrome, I have a Windows PC and have chrome installed on it. Chromebooks probably have no use. At least for me.
I've had a Pixelbook for a year now. I also have an Alienware laptop. When I'm not playing big title games, I'm using my Chromebook (so 90% of the time).
Hey man, late to this video. But this was a wonderful introduction to helping me decide! Thanks so much man, very much appreciated this video! Keep up the good work
Sounds like chrome book is the way to go for me in future, when I’m ready to buy an upgrade. My pc is sooo slow . Would help if I reimagined but as you say that takes 1-2 days. Thanks for the comparisons.
traded my Windows desktop for my Chromebook... Samsung plus V2 LTE. I own an iPad, iPhone., Apple TV. Was thinking about getting a Mac. I love my Chromebook.
Thanks for your insights! Good job! I have Surface Book 2, Macbook Pro and a newly bought ASUS Chromebook Flip C302...kept wondering what's the best workflow with all these devices and shall I ditch one of them? You just give me a nice insight which did inspire me! Good job!
dude keep going with these awesome vids and you will go far. You are so friendly and will cheer anyone up with your amazing tips and trick videos. keep it up, you awesome guy! :)
What about auto-update expiration system for various Chromebooks, especially the latest Pixelbook? Unless I missed the part, the video hasn't addressed OS updates yet. From what I've read, the Windows updates make the mess of PCs. The latest macOS Catalina is limited to Apple computers capable of running it. The auto-updates of Chrome OS have been fixed and schedules differently for any Chromebook.
Personally, my belief is that everyone who is not an avid PC gamer (especially MMO's like World of Warcraft) and not heavy into video editing should be on a Chromebook. Your life is just going to be so much easier. I own a MacBook Pro, a very high end gaming PC and a Pixelbook (Google's Chromebook). I easily spend 98% of my "tech time" on my Chromebook and the other 2% divided between my Windows laptop and my MacBook. I will NOT be replacing the latter two when they go, but I would GLADLY spend $1,000 for another Pixelbook when the need arises. And, no, I'm not wealthy; before I retired recently I needed the Windows and Mac laptops for work. I now happily play all my games on my PS4 console and I just don't need the MacBook for anything.
I need a new laptop but I am very low tech I only play some card games and look at YT and FB and buy some stuff and a little local banking and some searching but I have to have a screen no smaller than 15.6' screen. What chromebook do you recommend for me I want it to be up to date inside.Thanks.P.S.I may watch a movie or old tv shows from time to time.
I personally own a HP X2 and love it. It's able to detach as a tablet, which is nice to have. The lenovo yoga chromebook is another good choice as well as Samsung's chromebook pro.
Question: Can you (do you ever) leave your HP X2 plugged into the wall, as a "desktop?' Or should one using it in one place (not portably) cycle it from battery to charge and so on? BTW thanks for this great video- you gave lots of great information.
U own a chrome book that im gonna be honest can even run simple games like minecraft and im either forced to hack it or get another one or just live with it pls someone reply to me on what i should do????
Which OS do you prefer and for what reason? Let me know!

disgusting
Windows is awesome
ChromeOS is good
MacOS is complete crap
I personally prefer macOS over the others imo.
Very informative and helpful. I’m definitely inclined towards buying a chrome book. Thanks 🙏🏽
you can't get a lot of files on chrome
In terms of skill level from simple to difficult. I would start with Chrome OS, followed by Mac OS, then Windows.

windows is awesome
mac is ok
crome is trash
So you can have Office on the chrome OS?
Yes via the Google Play Store. Chrome OS has The Play Store and Android Apps same as your phone and tablet
You can also add office as an extension in the chrome store and use it via the web.
same as macos
downsides for chrome OS: you must play the worst copies of minecraft
I recommend Chrome OS because Windows is trash and macs are expensive.
You are right on the money!

For me the best is Mac, followed by windows and the worst is Chromebook
why would anybody buy a Chromebook? They are absolute garbage unless you are a cheapskate office employee
U own a chrome book that im gonna be honest can even run simple games like minecraft and im either forced to hack it or get another one or just live with it pls someone reply to me on what i should do????
Can you do coding and documentation....like ms office on chromebook
7:23 i have a chromebook and it only takes an hour to die when i use an android app
Once stadia is out, no one would care about buying windows for gaming
