Prefer facing target allows you to still fly to the person your beam is on without looking if you didn’t know
Yeah I was confused bc then how would you try to fly somewhere else while holding beam lmao
The thing about “prefer facing target” is that it enables certain skill expression that is mechanically impossible with “prefer beam target,” if I am not mistaken. With “prefer beam target,” you have to disconnect beam from your pocket in order to GA somewhere else, and critical damage can occur to your pocket when disconnect; the fact that this can be avoided with a setting change seems lucrative. The second is you are missing out on ult charge each time you disconnect beam to reposition, when you could have kept beam on target, the entire game; i believe this is definitionally a bad habit.
Prefer facing target setting is definitely the best, you should swap. You can still ga to a beamed target just gotta make sure you’re not looking at someone else
i want to use ga toggle off cause people recommend but i dont have a gaming mouseso i cant click contorl and shift at the same time
If you can't do that try rebind ga I had that issue and put ga on Q and ult on V and it feels much better for me
I changed my ctrl to mouse 5 and it worked really well to me

GA target priority is set to what you are looking at i believe

Yeah I was already used to toggle ga, just cause I'm on console.
I recommend using toggle GA off. I know it seems weird, but it's good to master it. I'm also on console and started using GA on. Later, I figured out GA off was better. It allowed me to cancel GA whenever wherever. Which was helpful if I accidently GA to the wrong teammate, or the teammate died. This means I could stop myself from entering a battle that could kill me

prefer beam target isnt the greatest setting i wouldnt use it
Yeah what if u wanna fly to someone whos far away your stuck walking until beam connects
Beam target is good for escaping or not falling off the map or doing techs using teammate through a wall.. but facing target is a must, thats why you use both
