In this show there are 9 singers who all perform and judge each other along with a guest star each week, this was Diana's first competition as an adult. After this rendition of Tommee Proffitt's dark version of can't help falling in love in round one the competition was basically over and it became a very fun show which she won of course. I dont care what you normally listen to. Yes this is the "dark version" of the song. You have discovered a very special artist here. I have always had an eclectic taste in music ranging from classical to rock to country you name it. Some of my favorites have included Meryl Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Boston, Eagles, CCR, Heart, Sound Garden, The Police, etc. - Eclectic. I love classical strings and orchestras. In this show there are 9 singers who all perform and judge each other along with a guest star each week, this was Diana's first competition as an adult. After this rendition of Tommee Proffitt's dark version of can't help falling in love in round one the competition was basically over and it became a very fun show which she won of course. Probably the most decorated singer in History, you can literally wallpaper a room with her awards, local, national and international, she'd have won Eurovision if they hadn't childishly banned Russia. The last time a singer of her caliber and versatility was around it was Linda Ronstadt and I'd give the nod to Diana as the better of the two.

She is another very interesting story that you will discover. She's such a unique lady with such a unique voice, and sadly she had such a tragic and traumatic experience when she was little ... I feel like that's partially one of the reasons she can convey so well emotions through her singing...

Diana didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to Diana did not love her child, cruelly abused him and tried to drown him.
The 3 year old Diana was found at a bus stop with a broken collarbone and taken to an orphanage. There she finally found love ... from Irina Ponik, a massage therapist. The break of voice made Diana’s voice even darker and deeper. She has mastered this time very professionally and has worked hard and successful to bring back the lost high notes and even expanded her vocal range, currently from C3-D7 (4,1 octaves!). Her genres are folk rock, folk pop, but also jazz, soul, blues, evergreens... and always in the unique Diana style... Tradition meets modernity.
Since singing a cover can be very expensive, Diana often sang very old songs. This secured her the love and gratitude of older listeners and revived the old songs. Today she sings more and more songs of her own or written for her in a wide variety of genres. She also wins the hearts of young people with her versatility.

In 2012, Irina's family moved to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana lost her fear that the woman who bore her would kidnap her.
In 2017 Diana went to Moscow, to 'The Voice Kids'. The next day, a huge scandal erupted on social media. A door had closed, but a new door opened...
In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered a competition 'You are Super and won twice. That project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition especially for adopted and orphaned children.
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to UA-cam and soon Diana had millions of fans.
The project producers help the finalists to start their studies and promote their creativity. Diana won a scholarship and Igor Krutoy (Russian music titan, billionaire, juror and sponsor) gave her a small apartment (37m²/ 398.26 ft²) in Moscow. There she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to start her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy. (She died of Covid-19 in October 2020). Her Russian fans helped her and found a new voice coach: Alexandra Pismennaya (Sasha), who was a student of Prof. Donskoy. She and Diana are on the same wavelength and even became friends.
2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors as an external student a year earlier as “normal”, applied to music colleges and was rejected (examiners suspected she had a voice defect). But she is normal and healthy. Now she is a student at the university, at the legendary Russian State Institute for Theater and Variety Arts (Juilliard similar to GITIS).
In October 2021 Diana was invited to her first adult contest on Russian television 'The ShowMaskGoOn'. She won!!!
In December 2021, Dianas released her first CD with great success. Maestro Krutoy had introduced Diana to the excellent singer, songwriter and producer Brandon Stone. With Maria Tarasenko (songwriter), the trio created the 9 songs of the album and received gold in June 2022.
