I used to record video on my 3ds. It was back before I had a smartphone, so the 3ds in my pocket was my next best thing for recording. The crisp 240p quality didn't bother me in the slightest. lmao

I remember when I recently bought a N2DSXL at the beginning of last year, one of the first things I did was take a selfie with the awful camera, pulling a silly face. That moment reminded me of how much time had passed since I was a kid, doing the exact same with my original 3DS in 2011, 12 years earlier. Looking at the 3DS photo gallery and hearing the music really brought back memories.

There was a period from about 2013 to 2016 where as a 16+ year old (onwards), I didn't have a phone (willingly) and didn't have a digital camera, so my 3DS XL was the only way for me to take photos of anything to share online with my friends. It was an interesting and very fun time. I think I wouldn't own a phone to this day if I didn't need to use it for work and such.
Thats so cool! A bunch of friends I went to school with always talk about when we used to play Mario kart on our ds on school field trips and stuff like that. What a fun time. I agree with you 100%. What if Nintendo made a phone????
