I totally agree - I'm on the Upwork side of things (haven't "cracked" Fiverr myself - honestly could be a fun collab idea if you'd be up for that 😜) but I always say while yes ofc there's more "competition", it's not all "good competition", as many people are just putting the bare minimum effort into it. Plus, there's also a lot more clients nowadays, especially after covid - everyone and their mom has an online biz now that needs help in one way or another. It's just a matter of positioning yourself in the right way as "THE ONE" that can solve their problems!

You inspired me to get on Fiverr and I've made about $850 thus far over the last like 8 months or so. Butttt I'm trying to make double that every month so it can be my main income source and I can enjoy my time and my life 🙌🏽🤞🏽

Okay. I am a reporter of 20+ years. I've also been doing a little content writing this year. I have not been able to get a full-time job for two and a half years. I've been doing all kinds of weird things that don't pay enough to support myself like substitute teaching and trying to sell insurance. I think I should try to join Upwork and Fiverr. I have no clue how people make six figures. Writers don't get paid that much, according to Upwork, top is $50, and it takes 10%, and you have to spend the time to find work. Fiverr looks like it's nickels and dimes, and it takes 20%. $50 an hour is adequate pay for a job, but this is freelancing, and you need to charge more to offset costs. What happens exactly? What do you do to make six figures? I see that reporters are earning more than $100k, which is surprising. I sure didn't. But I'm kind of old, and a woman, and nobody will hire me. And that seems to be that.
I have a question in regards of the thumbnail of my gigs: what if i offer services or products that vary too much in themes, topics, or relevant interests? It's okay to change the format of the thumbnails, since it would be really difficult to adapt the same format for way too different gigs?

I would recommend setting up separate accounts, so you don't accidentally violate their Terms of Service. Or, contact their customer service department and ask, first. They can be strict!

I am part of the program, yes! I don't accept calls in any part of my biz - slows me down. Just a preference! And yes, I would subscribe to the seller plus program.
Should I go for promoted gigs? I've seen people where their gigs get deranked after they turn it off. They can get into the game afterwards. What's your opinion? Should I go for Seller Pro Programe? Is it worth it?

As far as I know, Fiver has a 14-day policy for the buyer to say they don't like the product and request a refund. Also, if they request that they pay before hand but send the video of what I made for them, would you recommend sending a watermark version first to make sure everything is alright and getting written proof that they like it in case they scam me, to be able to show to Fiver as proof, or would I just send the full finished video without a watermark?

You both can have different account. It is just like having different works. However, you must use different Government ID. I hope this was helpful.

Website isn't necessary if you're only freelancing on Fiverr - if you freelance OFF of Fiverr, I recommend a website!
