Thank you. I suspect we're of the same vintage, I grew up watching the same drivers, don't forget Wild Bill Shrewsberry's LA Dart; the Snake vs the Mongoose; Roland Leong and the Hawaiian Punch flopper. I plan on shooting plenty of races in the 2013 season, you like Pro-Mods and Door-slammers? Then that's what we'll cover. We're going to be digging deep into the vault and look for more 1980s and 90s drag racing.
Thank you, I take pride in showing the more unique shots, something you can't see from the stands. The burnout is intended to pre-heat the low pressure tires and make them "sticky", thus allowing better traction on the launch, which if you ever have the opportunity is downright scary. 0-60 times of less than 1 second for the pro-class cars is the norm, I've had the pleasure of getting a passenger seat ride in a mild mannered 10 second super-pro car with 900+ HP... wow!

We use many different cameras depending on the application, in this case the 3-chip Sony PMW EX1 in progressive 1080p mode. I really enjoying covering drag racing with this camera, the size and mobility make my workload light.

I love the sport, but I'm a better cameraman than I'll ever be a racer, so I'll keep doing my thing covering the sport and allowing the racers and fans to see the cars from a different perspective. The boards are used to prevent burnout debris from smacking other cars, some pretty nice paint jobs there. Glad everyone enjoys this video in particular, I'm really quite surprised how popular its become. There are three other parts to this on our page and plenty of other original racing videos. And yes, I agree, no music, I like the engine sound myself. Stay tune for more drag racing videos this summer and fall.

I dated a female from Maple Ridge and her father raced his Chrysler 300 there. It was a 70's model I believe and that thing was fast! Rod in it once and 2 piss drops came out when he hit the gas!!!
