in the show he just said "laurens, do not trow away your shot" its like he is saying "Cool! Thx laurens, do your best!"
while here he's concern and worried for his "friend" , he doesnt want John to get hurt.

I like this version of the ending way more. Whenever I listen to this song, it sounds so weird when Alex says “Laurens, do not throw away your shot” to me for some reason. When Laurens says it, it almost feels more sinister. Also, historically, Laurens was by far the most reckless in battle, so having him say it kind of acknowledges his grit and determination. He’s my favorite Hamilton character and I think this aspect of him deserves way more credit.
I feel like sometimes that people forget these are actual people

I love the facial expressions! Washingdad staring at Lee while he orders a retreat is amazing. Mulligan and the horses Lmao. Burr's face when Lee insults Wash is hilarious. Thank you for including the original lines at the end. Another amazing animation!

Symptoms: uncontrollable spinning.
First of all- BEAUTIFUL animatic. Second, I've been in this fandom on and off for four years, and I somehow never heard this version. The end though, John sounds so angry when he says "Sh*t, I'll do it-" but when Alex comes in, both of their voices drop to such a soft whisper. Also, I don't know why John referring to Alexander as just Alex killed me, but it did.
This brakes my heart with the small story arc you gave Peggy and Larance. knowing what happens to John

I love the faces they make throughout this whole animatic, especially towards the end with Charles Lee and then when Hamilton is talking to Laurens.
I love the reversal of the final two lines as opposed to the album version. Feels like Hamilton values Laurence more this way around!

I feel that the workshop version and the official one may have slowly polished Alexander's personality, but also shifted some things. The end of this song in particular. On the official release Alexander sounds a lot more cocky and confident. Lauren's seems to be doing the duel in Alexander's stance, and is Hamilton who tells him to don't throw away his shot/ seize the moment. On the workshop version, Alexander seems way more worried about Lauren's safety than teaching Lee a lesson.

this is GREAT! I love It. You've improved SO MUCH! (amo que Charles Lee es un villano de caricatura básicamente y creo que esa es su esencia y la razón de que sea un meme tan grande en el Hamilfandom) (También me gusta el hecho de que en la versión workshop del musical, Laurens es MAD LAD y no uwu turtle soft boi.) Todos lo han dicho, pero quiero documentar mi manifiesto en esta sección de comentarios: LAURENS IS NOT A GAY UWU TURTLE SOFT BOI (maybe gay, but not everything else) HE'S A FRICKIN' MAD LAD! That's what I like from the workshop vesion: It keeps a balance between screaming to your face "Laurens and Hamilton have something" and making Laurens look like a mad lad (which he is btw). The Broadway show makes Hamilton an Laurens' relationship more subtle (with the line "Laurens I like you a lot" in "My shot", the end in "Stay alive", "The Laurens Interlude", Hamilton's final line, etc.) and puts Laurens' level of psycotic sh*t 20 lines down than workshop version does. (OK this got too long. just wanted to say that I love you and your art style. bye!)
