    Here's a trick I learned a long time ago. Turn the jar over and hit the bottom with the heel of your hand (hard) and you'll hear a pop. That released the air lock and then the jar opens. Yes. Game changer.

    • @stabbykat
      @stabbykat 7 місяців тому +5

      Yup, works nearly everytime, if a jar is super sealed putting a butter knife under the lid to pop the air will work too

    You literally made me laugh out loud when you had to explain that you didn't mean it as a threat! I LOVE your videos and have learned so much from you - even though my kids are grown and I have grandkids the age of your kids. Thank you for always keeping it real. It makes us all like you even more.

    Just a heads up, fruit flies don't really come from fruit, they are generally from your drain. Clean your sinks, drains, garage disposal (anything having to do with your sink). They have this stuff at Home Depot that you pour down the drain to kill the fruit flies, it works really well for me. So if you're having issues with them and you don't have any produce laying around, they're probably coming from your drain/pipes.

      @ReniLoewenherz 7 місяців тому +4

      No they made eggs on the fruits and you buy these eggs when you buy fruits

      Vinegar flies live in and around wet areas. They look a lot like fruit flies

      The way I get rid of Fruit flies is to pour a little vinegar in a small glass cover it with plastic wrap, poke holes in the top with a toothpick and sit it aside. You could use wine instead but even though the flies may die happier I don’t like sharing my wine.

    Maybe it was the caffeine or maybe you're really really passionate about the whole jar opening contest but that was hilarious!!! This is the best Amazon list I've ever seen. I'll probably get most of them. I'd love the inflatable saturn too but I'm way too old for it😂

    Never too much garlic in my home. If a recipe says 2 cloves, I'm usually adding 4+ because "that one looks small, does it count as half or one?" Onion also seems to be added in larger quantities than necessary.

      😂😂! We had them in our homes when I was a kid. Pretty much every house had one. It wasn’t until my husband and I were redoing our kitchen that I realised, ‘No! No, there is not a designated cabinet you choose that has this item!’! Yes, I asked. The woman helping us looked at me as if I’d 3 heads and my husband was laughing hysterically! She had no clue what the jar opener was and my hubby is a builder, he knew what I was talking about but thought is was hilarious that I actually thought it came with the cabinet! And the pull out cutting boards…that’s a custom order? Since when? Why? I know why but still! HAVE FUN WITH YOUR OPENER!!! *and yes, we have under cabinet jar openers in our homes! 😂

    Ironically, I talk like that all the time (it's a thyroid thing).
    "I loosened the lid for you" --- Can totally relate to a husband claiming that.
    I might have to try that closet light, but the Katchy-thing is a must have!!!

    Wack the side of a lid of a jar with a handle of a butter knife while turning it. Worked for my mom and works for me, I use an appetizer fork to slide out olives. Both you already have in the kitchen and free. For the flies, only take fruit out you will use and wash it, At night run hot water down your drains then close up with your drain plug.
