EDIT: THE MASON JAR GADGET IS FOR VACUUM SEALING ONLY. If you enjoyed this video, please give it a THUMBS UP as it helps me in the UA-cam algorithm! 😀 You all commented asking for more Amazon Product videos so I thought this Kitchen Gadget video would be super fun and interesting. I LOVE how you're able to take viewer feedback. That's why you're THE BEST DEAL AROUND!!!
Yes, please post that this is not for home canning. Canned products still need to follow a water bath or pressure canning process. But it is excellent for dry good and items that you will store in the refrigerator.
You mentioned the links are below. I don't see anything below. Where can I find them? Your channel is awesome
They're in the description box. Under the title it says views, time it was posted, and where it says ...more, click on that and the box opens and you can read about video and scroll down, it'll show all the products with the links that you can just click on. Hope this helps!@@deborahcharete6252
@@deborahcharete6252 - Good Question! Under the video itself, you can see the Title of the video, followed by words that end with "more..." Click on the "more" and the video Description box opens. You may then see another "more" that you click on, which expands the Description box completely. Then you can see Matt's full drop down menu of each item and it's link to Amazon. it helps Matt monetarily without costing you anything if you purchase an item using his link. The way I do it is that when I click on a link, it takes you directly to the item. It shows options to "put it in your cart" or to "Buy It Now". I click on the "Buy It Now" and then with only a Swipe, I've purchased and the item is on its way here. Easy! And, you can repeat that process with more items just as easily as the first time. I hope that this helps. If I can help any further, simply respond to this message and I will get back to you. I learn so much from Matt, "The Deal Guy" and save a lot by watching his channel. I'm so grateful that I found "The Deal Guy" on UA-cam! MaryAnne
The robo can opener has been EXTREMELY handy for this single lady. Thank you.
@@kp8174great idea for Mother's Day! Thanks!
Fantastic as always!
Would you mind doing a video of disabled friendly gadgets & things that could make everyday life easier for those of us that just want to do things like we used to without needing assistance and losing our independence?
The gadget to put things in and out of the oven was MARVELOUS!
I have so many burn scars from cooking in the kitchen.
Thank you and keep those videos coming because you do my shopping for me! 🙏🏻👍
Yes!!!! Test would be awesome
There is a man on Epicurious who tests kitchen gadgets, and one of the things he does is try them with oil on his hands and with his weaker hand (left) to see how well they will work for disabled/elderly/arthritis, etc. just search epicurious gadgets tested in you tube and his videos will come up. He's a design expert.
Like the can opener he just reviewed... that was helpful.
Cooking Tip: you can push what you chopped on your cutting board through the opening in the cutting board so that it goes neatly into your bowl/pan
Your son and daughter are precious..simply adorable!❤
They’ve gotten so big!! And they are gorgeous!!
The jar opener is the hero of ANYone with arthritis. Big love. Jar opening is getting harder every day.
The dance after you ate the steamed dumpling....😂😂😂👍🏽 awesome!
I like the Electric Jar Opener! Great for Folks with Arthritis!
Your family is so Sweet ! 🙏🏻♥️☺️
It is a vacuum sealer. But it does not can. It is safe to use for shelf stable foods or food you put in the fridge or freezer.
Right! Safety concern!
I think it is after the canning and only when you seal the lids. Probably great for coffee beans / grounds
Probably freezer jam safe.
@@2112acjalso probably good for nuts
@@mwilliamson3989 yes because the item goes in the freezer for preservation method.
The electric vacuum sealer for jars is NOT for canning. Canning must be done in a pressure canner or water bath canner. This gadget is just to reseal jars that are in the fridge or dry goods to extend shelf life. Also good for sealing your dehydrated or freeze dried items. But definitely not for "canning"
Came to the comments to mention the same thing!
I am new to jar vacuum sealing/canning so your comment is very helpful to me and the viewers.. The product page says canning but upon reflection does not specify a certain type of good it that it works on - however in the instructional video on the page, they advertise it working with peaches in liquid so thats where I'm confused.. If someone was looking for a pressure canner on Amazon, do you have one that you personally recommend?
That's all right. We didn't really think you were at home canning.
😂@@thedealguy
I have been looking for a good pressure canner but they are pricey.
Preston pressure ca nner and look up water bath canner.
Remember the days of wood shop? I made an oven rack puller for one of my graded projects, and I still use it to this day. Yep, almost 40 years later!
I have one as well. I rarely use my oven now, but the wooden puller is beautiful.
My godchild made one for me too. She’s going to be 57 this year. 😅
I was thinkin I could use it for airfryer too!
I use a plate and a large cup of water to hold food down to thaw in water in my sink.❤
Yep, me too. A nonessential gadget for sure.
Same. No single use gadgets for me.
Me, too. There were a lot of very good ideas in this video, but so many of them are completely unnecessary. I do like the rectangular mold you put baggies into to freeze so neatly; I'll bet I can come up with something for free! I do not begrudge the designers of these items, I just do not have the money to spend!
@@lindas.8036 You know those little square-shapped plastic containers for lunch box sandwiches? I've used them to freeze whatever, then pop out the ftozen contents and wrap in foil. Makes a neat little square.
Wonderful suggestions! Thanks, Matt who cares about us while carefully choosing items we can use. Your children are adorable! 🌹
The Comet cleanser can WAS a good idea back when ordinary cans were used as stash cans. There used to be many different kinds and brands that would not attract attention just sitting in their normal places. However, when my mother-in-law passed away, one of her children ( unbeknownst to the rest of the family) asked a neighbor to please clean out the fridge and cabinets and donate the canned food and anything that had not been opened or was expired to a local food bank. It was estimated that thousands of dollars in cash, coins and jewelry were donated because she used these devices. Moral of the story……be sure you tell your ENTIRE family that you are using stash cans!!!
I'm 71 I had visions of the comet can bring thrown out with lots of cash in it.
Or the neighbor got it.
Or at least the relatives you like LOL
"There's money in the banana stand"
I made a family member a stash upcycled container to hide stuff from their kiddos. Crazy 🤔 probably TMI but I took a plastic gelato container and it was semi transparent and put my art on it with tissue decoupage still leaving it somewhat see through. I glued a tissue holder that was also painted and decorated on the inside for the stash part cut to fit . And then the filling was for pads or tampons because she has boys. It looks like a discrete little container to go under the bathroom sink and you can sorta see what’s inside. But unless you unscrew the lid you never see the hidden compartment where money or jewelry can be hidden.
I bought the electronic scrubber after I had back surgery. I got it to clean the showers and tub. It’s amazing! I love it.
My friend has one and I used it. I got so excited! I will be getting my own. I feel so powerful with it, less stress on the body.
I really like how you take the extra mile and list each one. Makes it so much easier to look them up! 🎉
ALERT!!!PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE KNOW THAT THE VACUUM SEALER IS NOT FOR CANNING FOOD!! ITS ONLY FOR REMOVING THE AIR OUT OF JARS OF DRY GOODS TO KEEP RHRM FRESHER LONGER. IF YOU THINK THIS IS FOR PRESERVING WET FOOD (meat, pickles, fruit, and veggies etc)YOU WILL GET BOTULISM AND COULD DIE. I OWN THIS PRODUCT. I USE IT FOR LONG TERM STORAGE OF DRY GOODS (uncooked pasta, rice, crackers, herbs, seasonings etc). PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THIS FOR LONG TERM STORAGE OF WET OR PREPARED FOODS.
How about frozen foods?
@@mwilliamson3989frozen canned foods?
I wondered about that when I saw it used in a jar of peaches.
Hey!! I missed 'THESE!!". You always say that!! That pickle jar thingy looks like a winner for sure.
Forget about the gadgets, where can I find a 5-year-old who'll help with the cleaning like The Deal Guy's?
You have to make your own. It takes about 5 years.
@OcalaBrew 🤦 😂😂
And then you have to have a UA-cam channel that they want to star in!
I was thinking the same thing!!! I need to birth a child in order to get help cleaning
😂😂😂
I think Etsy is where you get homemade stuff
Your children are darling! I didn't find a lot of things that interested me, but your personality and videos are engaging. Of course I always look forward to the next one!
I hope your kids have a savings account and get fair wages for working on your channel.
The jar opener was a god send when I had shoulder surgery.
We use ours all the time!
Do u think it would also work for pill bottles that have "childproof" caps that adults can't open?
@@MamaCarola1those usually can be flipped upside down so you can open easily!
I have the red potato bag, and it works. I will have to try the corn.😊
I have the jar opener and love it.
My grandkids thinks it's so much fun to use.
Not sure what’s in the Kurig Coffee machine cleaner, but remember those machines work by quickly heating the water, chemicals may be bonded to the inside of the pipes and heating element surfaces, meaning that you will be drinking them for a time after cleaning. I would suggest using vinegar either instead or immediately after using that chemical cleaner. 😊
Yes! Keurig Customer Service suggested I use ONLY white vinegar to clean by filling water chamber and passing it thru 2x. It was amazing not just color change but, the solids that came loose with the boiling water and acidic vinegar. Then do a water only pass thru to remove any vinegar taste.
I'd like to thank Keurig for not pushing the cleaning kit they sell or filters but, instead giving a cost effective, natural easy solution.
@@dogcatfamily2476 - I recently bought a dishwasher cleaner that gave me pause. So many warnings, “don’t put dishes inside while using cleaner, do not touch with hands, if contact occurs wash hands immediately, rinse dishwasher immediately afterwards with an EMPTY dishwasher and dishwasher detergent.” I get the need to clean equipment, but if vinegar works, use it! LOL!,
Vinegar works better & wont hurt the machine.
If, like me, you cannot tolerate the smell of vinegar (it makes me actually gag) citric acid works as well, without the rank, permeating smell of vinegar.
@@dogcatfamily2476 that’s strange because they told me to never use vinegar and only use their descaler!
Keep up the good work, Deal Guy. Enjoy your reviews, find them most helpful. 😊
Pro tip for the old school amongst yall...those coffee cleaner tablet do wonders in both pipes and water pipes. 🤩
AMAZING ITEMS!!! Thank you & your adorable children for showing us 😊
That bacon container works great. I got mine a couple of weeks ago 😋
Ooh. That pickle keeper is awesome. It works well for capers too.
A bacon storage container that actually extends shelf life? Who knew this would be something that I could actually use? You did! I can't wait to check out the measurements and see if I can make it work in my fridge. I hate throwing out bacon after just a few days. This could be a game changer during BLT season! Thanks, Matt! As always, you rock!
Cook all the bacon at once when you buy it then freeze. Reheats and crisps beautifully in the microwave oven or frying pan.
That wiggle of enjoyment eating the dumpling was adorable! 😂
Thank you, Matt! So many practical kitchen aids. You always find things to make our lives easier!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I have a vacuum sealer. All my dry storage is in mason jars and it goes a long way to keeping things fresh. Dry storage= rice, beans, pasta, lentils, flour, nuts, dried fruit. Nothing canned or needed refrigeration.
Same. I've had one for 20 years. Mine has a wine bottle sealing attachment as well.
I would love to have a toddler that finds cleaning therapeutic.
The way he shook his head when you gave him the sippys was too adorable.
That canning lid is not canning. It might be great for re-jarring the contents or dry goods but it’s not canning.
And only works on jars. I have a rechargeable handheld that works on jars and the resealable food saver bags. It's cheaper and great when traveling.
I love my jar opener, I have limited grip strength from years of typing (young people beware!!! Yes, work related), but..... It doesn't work on ALL jars!!
I also have a "no-sharp-edge" can opener, not everything has a pulltop.
Downside.... they're LOUD!!
I have owned the trolley bags since 2019. I love how easy it is to load my car and then bring them into the house.
How are these bags better than regular reusable bags when it comes to loading the car or bringing them into the house? I'm not sure I see the value of these bags.
I have found them to be sturdier. Everything doesn’t smoosh together. But, to each his own.
Beautiful kiddos so adorable!
I have the JosephJoseph rice cooker. Been using it for years. I go by the amounts and time in the instructions and always get perfect rice. Just make sure you rinse your rice well before cooking. Really a good buy. 😎🐈⬛
I have a few of these items that I use at home but mainly for car/tent camping, the freezer blocks do save a bunch of space and when camping I make homemade meals, freeze and they fit perfectly in the cooler frozen still saves buying extra ice, collapsable Tupperware containers for leftovers at camp take no space until I need them. The silicone anti spill tops are a must at home, I absolutely love them.
Thanks you Matt for your video. You always bring us the Best items. Love to you & your family. Take care ❤❤❤❤
1. If you get the collapsing measuring cups, double check them with other cups for accuracy.
2. Why waste money on egg separation devices? Use the shell or better yet your fingers, just crack egg into your cupped fingers and allow the white to drain away
3. Save money and space by simply putting food into ziploc bags ,remove air, seal and lay flat. Those food-block things waste time, money and space
4. Those steam covers don't work with gas stoves they melt.
As for using with electric stoves you have to be extremely careful about the overhang and the burners size
Boy, you must have a TON of friends... 🙄
I actually do appreciate the OP's information. I'm still wary about exposing so much heat to silicone, which seems to be the latest miracle material everything is being made from. I just hope that in 10-20-30 years we're not told it posed a previously unknown or undisclosed health hazard like with Teflon coating, BPA, and aluminum.
Glass half full people have a purpose. None of these gadgets are needed.
I may have some other remarks but to your point 3 - that gadget may be useful for soups (and the defrosting holder - why hot use some bowl filled with water or something like it and not tu buy and store one use thing)
@@trirain146 I actually turn the ziploc inside out, thoroughly wash and allow to dry. If cleaned ziploc bags are reusable. And like I said take up less space than large containers.
I have the vacuum sealer and I love it. No more dry, hard sugar (white or brown)!
OMG. I usually watch the Costco videos and this one auto played. I have gotten a little too excited thinking of how many items I need to go buy, yikes! I appreciate your funny comments on your family regarding products and it is delightful! Thank you for your contributions to the Internet.
I don't need any of these gadgets, but it's still fun to watch the Deal Guy.
I have used these potato bags for years. It cuts down the time for cooking potatoes and other things in the microwave as compared to oven. This is how I initially cook my sweet potatoes for holidays and family meals. Awesome 👏
Excellent advice. The trick about how to prepare the stuff yourself was something I never thought of earlier. The trick is right at the end of this video. Thank you.
I have to say, I can live another 72 years without any of those silly gadgets.
For me 73 yrs! I do not want more stuff!
I’d think you’d want the potato bag to give yourself a few extra minutes 🤷🏼♀️
That drainer/strainer thing jar is the BEST of all!! Soooo ingenious! Can be used for MANY things! Love you, BUY BUY! ;)
You look healthier... I've been concerned for your health... glad you're doing better 🎉❤
The cup holder is amazing & supper helpful.
Thanks! Some great products. Your children are ADORABLE!
My buddy just had kid number four. That cup caddy looks perfect for him! Thanks for the idea!
4 kids and not one of mine found house work therapeutic. 🤦♀️
Precious little ones
Good video Matt 👍 some pretty neat stuff

Just ordered the jar opener!! Thank you!!
Very cool items, but can I just say, the kids are growing up so fast, holy moly they are cuties!
Your kids are absolutely adorable.
I love all of the products..They would come in very handy for all people. The can opener is great. I use the spin scrubber in my shower and bathroom floors. Freezer bags are a life saver too. You did a Great job shopping for us today Matt. You got all of the important things for every person on your site and their Families too.
I am the Gadget Queen. I love your channel!
Thank you Matt. I’m going to check out a few of these items. Have a wonderful week.😊❤
Despite the warnings, you show fruit in a jar at 1:53. Not everyone knows enough about vacuum sealing to realize that spoilable items like fruit should NOT be vacuum sealed that way. The gadget you showcased is only good to be used on foods like dry beans, rice, flour, etc..
I love this new video!!!
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm DEFINITELY getting that dumpling thingy
Matt nice shopping haul thanks for sharing 😊
THANK YOU for the helpful video’s & you kids are absolutely adorable! ❤😊
Love watching your videos. You’re funny and very informative. Sweet family is a bonus. ❤
Thanks, Matt, for the info. I try to watch all of your videos.
Wow the kids are getting so big , they are adorable
His little head nod as if to say, good job daddy; was so cute! 🤣
Thanks for the kitchen recommendations. Love it.
I have the potato bags and they’re great 👍 I like the jar opener also as I have arthritis and that would be a great help. Thank you for all you do. Much love and many blessings
I love these Amazon product videos! Thank you for being made of awesome ❣️💜💜💜
Coming from a 582 month old, I really like that drink holder.
Great video, great products! And I always love seeing Riley and Mara!
I seriously need the jar opener and the tool for the oven.
I see alot of UA-camrs, bragging on the cleaning wond.
Thanks Matt, for sharing with us. May you have a Blessed day.
Thanks for the Amazon product list. I was able to get the electric can opener lickity-split!
I used your links to get both the silicone covers to prevent spillover, and the food block freezing thing. Thanks for the cool video!
That jar opener is a great gift for my older family members, myself included.
I have the steamer basket and LOVE It. I've used it soooo much and see it lasting a long time
Awesome kitchen gadgets. Im ordering several!
Thank you for all the research you do. Keep up the good work!
Was thinking I had everything, but then tada! You came up with something I can use. LOVE those little containers to hold the takeout sauces and the bacon keeper. Thanks for another great video. You always cost me money. Haha😅
I bought my sister the lotus trolley bags for Christmas, I also have the collapseable measuring cups and teaspoons. I have thought about he multi cup holder. I have a pampered chef fruit slicer and just started using it and love it, not sure why I have had it forever and never used it. Definitely a great addition to your kitchen gadgets! Great video lots of cool items!
Thank you, Matt. Another great video! ❤️😊
LOVE this video! Thank you 😊
I loved nearly all of these!! Does this make me a gadget nerd?🤷♀️
Ayup! 😂 I am too
Thanks for the video. Some good products to try
Wow Matt, some amazing stuff here! Thanks!!!
Thank you as Always you always in my corner 🎉👍👍👍
Great recommendations, thanks!
Wow 👍 Excellent list, Thank you.
These are great. I love reusable bags and definitely going to order the trolley bags.
Awesome gadgets! I ordered several!
So I bought the Leebein scrubber about a year ago and that thing is certifiably awesome. I've used it on everything from bathrooms to ovens to car exterior glass. Pair it up with some Barkeepers Friend annual virtually never have to scrub anything ever again.
Your son is absolutely adorable. Love your videos. ❤
I've been using the collapsible food containers for several years. I bought to save space in my deep kitchen drawers. I use when I freeze multiple meals and when I cook big batches of stew or soup. They do great in the dishwasher and can go in the microwave to defrost and reheat. I highly recommend both the rectangular and round one.
