The electric vacuum sealer for jars is NOT for canning. Canning must be done in a pressure canner or water bath canner. This gadget is just to reseal jars that are in the fridge or dry goods to extend shelf life. Also good for sealing your dehydrated or freeze dried items. But definitely not for "canning"

Me, too. There were a lot of very good ideas in this video, but so many of them are completely unnecessary. I do not begrudge the designers of these items, I just do not have the money to spend!
@@lindas.8036 You know those little square-shapped plastic containers for lunch box sandwiches? I've used them to freeze whatever, then pop out the ftozen contents and wrap in foil. Makes a neat little square.
I have used these potato bags for years. It cuts down the time for cooking potatoes and other things in the microwave as compared to oven. This is how I initially cook my sweet potatoes for holidays and family meals. Awesome 👏
Not sure what’s in the Kurig Coffee machine cleaner, but remember those machines work by quickly heating the water, chemicals may be bonded to the inside of the pipes and heating element surfaces, meaning that you will be drinking them for a time after cleaning. I would suggest using vinegar either instead or immediately after using that chemical cleaner. 😊
Yes! Keurig Customer Service suggested I use ONLY white vinegar to clean by filling water chamber and passing it thru 2x. It was amazing not just color change but, the solids that came loose with the boiling water and acidic vinegar. Then do a water only pass thru to remove any vinegar taste. I'd like to thank Keurig for not pushing the cleaning kit they sell or filters but, instead giving a cost effective, natural easy solution.
@@dogcatfamily2476 - I recently bought a dishwasher cleaner that gave me pause. So many warnings, “don’t put dishes inside while using cleaner, do not touch with hands, if contact occurs wash hands immediately, rinse dishwasher immediately afterwards with an EMPTY dishwasher and dishwasher detergent.” I get the need to clean equipment, but if vinegar works, use it! LOL!,
If, like me, you cannot tolerate the smell of vinegar (it makes me actually gag) citric acid works as well, without the rank, permeating smell of vinegar.
I have a few of these items that I use at home but mainly for car/tent camping, the freezer blocks do save a bunch of space and when camping I make homemade meals, freeze and they fit perfectly in the cooler frozen still saves buying extra ice, collapsable Tupperware containers for leftovers at camp take no space until I need them. The silicone anti spill tops are a must at home, I absolutely love them.
The Comet cleanser can WAS a good idea back when ordinary cans were used as stash cans. There used to be many different kinds and brands that would not attract attention just sitting in their normal places. However, when my mother-in-law passed away, one of her children ( unbeknownst to the rest of the family) asked a neighbor to please clean out the fridge and cabinets and donate the canned food and anything that had not been opened or was expired to a local food bank. It was estimated that thousands of dollars in cash, coins and jewelry were donated because she used these devices. Moral of the story……be sure you tell your ENTIRE family that you are using stash cans!!!
I made a family member a stash upcycled container to hide stuff from their kiddos. Crazy 🤔 probably TMI but I took a plastic gelato container and it was semi transparent and put my art on it with tissue decoupage still leaving it somewhat see through. I glued a tissue holder that was also painted and decorated on the inside for the stash part cut to fit . And then the filling was for pads or tampons because she has boys. It looks like a discrete little container to go under the bathroom sink and you can sorta see what’s inside. But unless you unscrew the lid you never see the hidden compartment where money or jewelry can be hidden.
I have a vacuum sealer. All my dry storage is in mason jars and it goes a long way to keeping things fresh. Dry storage= rice, beans, pasta, lentils, flour, nuts, dried fruit. Nothing canned or needed refrigeration.
I have the JosephJoseph rice cooker. Been using it for years. I go by the amounts and time in the instructions and always get perfect rice. Just make sure you rinse your rice well before cooking. Really a good buy. 😎🐈⬛

I’ve had these for years. I love them and they work. You’ll never have a spill over again when you use these I even have some baby ones for smaller pans. That’s a good they are.
Your children are darling! I didn't find a lot of things that interested me, but your personality and videos are engaging. Of course I always look forward to the next one!

So I bought the Leebein scrubber about a year ago and that thing is certifiably awesome. I've used it on everything from bathrooms to ovens to car exterior glass. Pair it up with some Barkeepers Friend annual virtually never have to scrub anything ever again.
1. If you get the collapsing measuring cups, double check them with other cups for accuracy. 2. Why waste money on egg separation devices? Use the shell or better yet your fingers, just crack egg into your cupped fingers and allow the white to drain away 3. Save money and space by simply putting food into ziploc bags ,remove air, seal and lay flat. Those food-block things waste time, money and space 4. Those steam covers don't work with gas stoves they melt. As for using with electric stoves you have to be extremely careful about the overhang and the burners size
I actually do appreciate the OP's information. I'm still wary about exposing so much heat to silicone, which seems to be the latest miracle material everything is being made from. I just hope that in 10-20-30 years we're not told it posed a previously unknown or undisclosed health hazard like with Teflon coating, BPA, and aluminum.
I may have some other remarks but to your point 3 - that gadget may be useful for soups (and the defrosting holder - why hot use some bowl filled with water or something like it and not tu buy and store one use thing)
@@trirain146 I actually turn the ziploc inside out, thoroughly wash and allow to dry. If cleaned ziploc bags are reusable. And like I said take up less space than large containers.
OMG. I usually watch the Costco videos and this one auto played. I have gotten a little too excited thinking of how many items I need to go buy, yikes! I appreciate your funny comments on your family regarding products and it is delightful! Thank you for your contributions to the Internet.
The microwave rice cooker is my favorite, been using them for rice, glutinous, potatoes and vegie too, super easy to clean too, no more sticky rice on the pot. Bought 2 myself and it's such a great pot.
Excellent advice. The trick about how to prepare the stuff yourself was something I never thought of earlier. The trick is right at the end of this video. Thank you.
I see several gadgets I'm about to order from this video. I already have some silicone can covers that comes in several assorted sizes and I've used them on dog food cans, bowls and mostly my soda cans and they keep the sodas carbonated for days. I'm definitely ordering the bottle top covers.
I've been using the collapsible food containers for several years. I bought to save space in my deep kitchen drawers. I use when I freeze multiple meals and when I cook big batches of stew or soup. They do great in the dishwasher and can go in the microwave to defrost and reheat. I highly recommend both the rectangular and round one.
I actually liked a lot of the items you featured. I like the fruit/veggie slicer where the cut items go in the little cup, and love the tray of 4 smaller trays/pans so you can cook 4 things at once and, when done, be able to remove those with shorter cooking times. Honestly a lot of very helpful items.
I never do this, but felt compelled to come to the comment section to warn you and everyone else watching this video that that vacuum sealer is absolutely not for canning and not for putting food that you just opened out of a can back on the shelf. Very glad there were so many others that beat me to it!
It's a serious enough topic that it's worth mentioning over many times. Consuming food that was improperly canned can be quite serious and even potentially fatal. That vacuum sealer seems very gimicky. Save your money!
I seriously need the jar opener and the tool for the oven. I see alot of UA-camrs, bragging on the cleaning wond. Thanks Matt, for sharing with us. May you have a Blessed day.
I love all of the products..They would come in very handy for all people. The can opener is great. I use the spin scrubber in my shower and bathroom floors. Freezer bags are a life saver too. You did a Great job shopping for us today Matt. You got all of the important things for every person on your site and their Families too.
Buying that jar opener for sure! I've been trying to open a jar of relish for months, tried everything, it just won't budge, and I'm not a weak person, lol thanks for this
If you have an old style opener like they use to open old time soda or beer caps use it to lift an edge. All you're trying to do is break the vacuum and that will do it.
This can opener I’ve had for years. This is not brand new, but it’s fantastic. I wouldn’t be without it. I recommend that for everyone because sometimes those jars you can’t open them I don’t care what they say but this little machine doesn’t do it.
Now for the gadget for carrying the cups, I’ve tried all kinds of different ones. I did buy this. I love it because being elderly you know we’re a little bit more shakier, but it works. I’ve given it all to my kids and they’re not younger and grandkids and great grandkids, and they all love it because they can transport the drinks without spilling them, so that’s another good one, but I’ve had it a lot longer then his so I would give it A Okay!
I bought my sister the lotus trolley bags for Christmas, I also have the collapseable measuring cups and teaspoons. I have thought about he multi cup holder. I have a pampered chef fruit slicer and just started using it and love it, not sure why I have had it forever and never used it. Definitely a great addition to your kitchen gadgets! Great video lots of cool items!
Despite the warnings, you show fruit in a jar at 1:53. Not everyone knows enough about vacuum sealing to realize that spoilable items like fruit should NOT be vacuum sealed that way. The gadget you showcased is only good to be used on foods like dry beans, rice, flour, etc..
How are these bags better than regular reusable bags when it comes to loading the car or bringing them into the house? I'm not sure I see the value of these bags.
3:10 we’ve had those bags for years. I always do scan n go, so it’s very convenient. And I always get compliments and ppl wanting to know where I got them.
The 4 pack of silicone baking pans. You mentioned eliminated the need for large aluminum baking sheet but yet you placed them on one when you put them in the oven 😮
Good catch! What I was trying to say it eliminates the need for MULTIPLE baking sheets and allows you to condense multiple foods into one pan without crossover
I have the rice cooker but use a different method. Heat water for 5 minutes. Add rice. Cook on high 5 minutes then set for defrost- 1 lb. (about 7 minutes). Tastes SO much better.
I have the potato bags and they’re great 👍 I like the jar opener also as I have arthritis and that would be a great help. Thank you for all you do. Much love and many blessings
Very cool! Thank you. I went out to Amazon to look for the can opener because I have a terrible time opening things. I have very small and weak hands, and it is about half price right now on sale with free delivery by tomorrow. And the Mason jar sealer is under $20 right now and you can get it in a bundle with mason jar lids which is what I purchased
Yes! That confusing canning statement scared me. It can make a lot of people sick or even die to put food on a shelf improperly canned. I would use for dry goods or if storing anything in fridge for a few days max. . Please store seeds and nuts in freezer for max freshness as oils in them go rancid quickly. Personally I use nontoxic dehydration packets. Some I reuse from like the zillions of seaweed snack bags I buy or you can get them from Amazon but, make sure nontoxic for food storage not for drawer or closets which can be poisonous.
Was thinking I had everything, but then tada! You came up with something I can use. LOVE those little containers to hold the takeout sauces and the bacon keeper. Thanks for another great video. You always cost me money. Haha😅
I hope the scrubber is strong enough as ive tried a few with little success. Egg white separater can be done with just an empty bottle so ya. This video did make me think of an invention that should be easy to do and wasnt able to find anywhere on Amazon so thanks for that

Glass half full people have a purpose. None of these gadgets are needed.
Your children are adorable. Love that you include them.
Thank you.
Best product I got off of Amazon was the Compact Cool Twist Beverage Bottle opener , just under $7.. works great 👍
I am adding the majority of your items to my shopping cart as these were some great finds. Two standouts however were Maura & Riley!
I loved nearly all of these!! Does this make me a gadget nerd?🤷♀️
Ayup! 😂 I am too
I see several gadgets I'm about to order from this video.
That wiggle of enjoyment eating the dumpling was adorable! 😂
Wow the kids are getting so big , they are adorable
Thanks! Some great products. Your children are ADORABLE!
I picked up shopping cart bags 10 plus years ago. So glad I did because the price has increased X 4.
Also picked up the scrubber brush. 19.99
I ordered that electric jar opener. It’s just what I need! And the price is very reasonable.
The cup holder is amazing & supper helpful.
Keep up the good work, Deal Guy. Enjoy your reviews, find them most helpful. 😊
Beautiful kiddos so adorable!
I am the Gadget Queen. I love your channel!
Outstanding video and presentation
I would love to have a toddler that finds cleaning therapeutic.
😂😂
Precious little ones
Good video Matt 👍 some pretty neat stuff
Thanks Matt for sharing and God bless you and your family 👍🙏🙏🙏
Time for meditation, thats right I put on your video to calmly meditate you have a soothing voice.
I have the steamer basket and LOVE It. I've used it soooo much and see it lasting a long time
The way he shook his head when you gave him the sippys was too adorable.
All super cool but also super OVERPRICED… couple exceptions… but I love ❤️ all of your presentations … you ARE … the best !!! TY
4 kids and not one of mine found house work therapeutic. 🤦♀️
The exact measuring cups are at the Dollar Store. Thought you should know.
I have owned the trolley bags since 2019. I love how easy it is to load my car and then bring them into the house.
How are these bags better than regular reusable bags when it comes to loading the car or bringing them into the house? I'm not sure I see the value of these bags.
I have found them to be sturdier. Everything doesn’t smoosh together. But, to each his own.
That drainer/strainer thing jar is the BEST of all!! Soooo ingenious! Can be used for MANY things! Love you, BUY BUY! ;)
The oven puller is awesome
For use with large counter top ovens
3:10 we’ve had those bags for years. I always do scan n go, so it’s very convenient. And I always get compliments and ppl wanting to know where I got them.
I have at least 5 of these items already on my wish list. I really want the rice cooker and silicone baking pans.
That jar opener is a great gift for my older family members, myself included.
I have the potato bags and they’re great 👍 I like the jar opener also as I have arthritis and that would be a great help. Thank you for all you do. Much love and many blessings
Got the jar opener. Sure, hope that works. Thanks for sharing it.
Love the USA made products
Very cool!
I have the cup holder for 2 years and I love it
Thank you Matt. I’m going to check out a few of these items. Have a wonderful week.😊❤
I’ve had the Joseph Joseph rice make for about 5 years, it is AWESOME
I used your links to get both the silicone covers to prevent spillover, and the food block freezing thing. Thanks for the cool video!
The trolley bags are awesome! We have been using the regular size ones for many years!
I’ve had the bake potato bags for years, and they are wonderful!!
Thanks, Matt, for the info. I try to watch all of your videos.
