I love canned chicken! So many people are like ewww. But I think it's quite good. I throw it in recipes all the time and no one can tell the difference.
That's all the Hope Center the food distribution gives us where I'm from is canned chicken in everyone's like you that's gross and I'm like after use it for something and I don't know what to use it for though
I put it in can chicken soup for more chicken. i do drain and rinse. thank you. Rice A Roni cooked in butter, and once cooked, mix in can chicken and chop it up in the cooked rice. add extra seasonings, if you wish. I add red pepper flakes,a little salt black pepper, and garlic salt. Top with Louisiana hot sauce before eating. Please drain the gross water in the canned chicken, and rinse with cold water, until runs clear before using in anything.
I’ve been making it forever! I use cream of chicken or even cream of celery, easy cook rice in the bag, steamable broccoli, a bag of shredded cheddar (mixed and some on top) and I use black pepper in mine!
Just pressure canned 15 pints of chicken. Got boneless chicken breasts for 99 cents per pound, and no room in my freezer. I know those little cans only cost a buck, but.. pint jars hold about a pound of meat. And honestly, it tastes sooooo much better than the chicken in a can. I've made most of these recipes from past batches of home-canned chicken and the results were amazing! That being said, if you are interested in canning any kind of meat, please don't do it willy nilly. Please look up proper instructions on how to safely can meat and follow those instructions to a tee. Mine always turned out great! And oddly enough, it's super satisfying to open a cupboard door and see 15 potential chicken meals that could be ready in minutes!
WOW, I NEVER TRIED CANNED CHICKEN. THANK YOU FOR SHARING SOME AWESOME IDEAS USING CANNED CHICKEN. MAY GOD BLESSINGS BE WITH YOU ALL ALWAYS! ☺ 🙏 💞 👍 👍 🍛🍲🍜
I have so many canned chicken in my cabinet from food pantries..now that money is low it's time I crack open those babies. Only I'm mexican an of course gonna try our seasonings ... Brb somebody comment so I can come back to tell y'all how it came out lol
I tried it for the first time last night. Was okay, but had a funny taste. Definitely different than regular chicken. Had to quickly stuff some potatoes and broccoli into my mouth with each bite, to help hide the can flavor. Wonder why it tastes different. It wasn't just that it was extra salty. It was definitively different.
I just commented on this, but I pressure-can my own chicken and it doesn't taste like the can. Also.. its like... together? Tighter? Like not... snotty I guess? I don't know really how to describe industrially canned chicken as to home pressure canned chicken, but my chicken doesn't taste like a can because it's in glass, and glass doesn't transfer taste. Also, each jar is like it's own little pressure cooker during the processing, so the meat cooks fork tender, but doesn't get that fatty soft chicken texture. I CAN'T EXPLAIN IT, OKAY??? IT'S JUST BETTER!! Lol. So if you're into canning, look up some stuff on it. It a money saver, and saves space in the freezer.
There was a hot steamy geyser blowing for a good 15 seconds out of a quarter inch hole in the lid where the pressure guage had been intact only a few moments before..
You can make your own if you have a presser cooker canner. It will be healthier with less salt and or additives. Plus, its tastier and it'll make its own broth as it cooks in the jars.

I can’t believe how good canned chicken is. Something about the pressure process really brings out the flavor.
Oh the deception😅
What the h... is this?
I was going to tell you folks a fun little poultry pun here...
But I was a little chicken, so I just *canned it!*
I was going to say something similar. That's uncanny.

Where did you find chicken breasts for that price?
@@lindaertel7558 at my local Kroger store here in Michigan. once in a while they throw you a great sale on meat if you follow adverts and coupons.
We don’t have deals like that in California, unfortunately.
@@lindaertel7558 of course that was over 10 months ago before all the prices went up.
I make chicken salad for sandwiches with canned chicken. Chicken, shredded, mayo, diced celery and almond slices and paprika.

These are perfect for people on food bank foods
My fat ass is just hungry
How do you get the can flavor or taste out of the chicken... seems to stay even when seasoned.
I soak the chicken in some sort of sauce or soup and leave it like that overnight. And then strain it and then add it to the recipe. It helps a lot
Very good ideas
Funny thing, notice how none of the chicken shown comes from a can? It’s all regular fresh roasted chicken breast. 🤦♀️
Actually it is canned chicken. Kirkland brand chicken looks like that once its drained.
Costco canned chicken baby.

@@CaroleHaddon "Into canning"? I'm not a psychopath.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 they only explode when your pressure is too high... or your canner blows a guage seal during processing. 😔

I'm sure dogs would love canned chicken, but this is human food. You know, you can put anything in a can. It doesn't make it dog food.
It’s the same as canned tuna or canned corned beef.
