@@itsmeonbass4715 That was the Ultimate action. Packages arrived with a cheap blade kit, I think it was like $24. had a pair of plain Jane cutter blades that were not honed to a sharp edge. just sort of close and dipped in black paint so it was not so obvious. Pulled the pins, dropped the drive belt clear, and cheated a little bit, used my cane to pull the deck off to the side. With the assistance of a four foot pipe that fit over the useless air ratchet I easily broke the bolts free and used the air power to continue the removal cranking. Out with the old twisted (to my surprise only one of the factory blades seemed twisted out of kaddywampus so I set them off to the side for another day. The original had a racey looking high lift w shape. The new cheapies a pedestrian flat blade. Oh will still able to jump into this 2023 mowing season. Replacing the deck was simple enough, used the cane to pull it back into place. Lift it up and re apply the pins. Yes, I had intended to make a simple video, but was re pinning the deck when it struck me that I had forgotton to jab a selfie stick in the lawn and watch myself go through it. Next time I will remember to set that up first. I'm sure it was amusing to see an old fat man with a cane crawling around on the driveway with a cat helper being way too helpful. I completely forgot the kit came with a generic label replacement drive belt. I put that in a ziplock and dropped it in a big drawer on the toolbox agains emergencies in the future. Finishing the replacement with a torque Wrench it certainly seemed the required 47 lbs was way less than what me and the cat encountered with a 4 foot cheeter bar removing the factory placed blade carrier bolt. Four or five cuttings and the 47lbs seems to have worked OK.
As an outside machinist I would like to add a caution. When you hold a torque wrench anywhere above the grip on the end of the wrench while tightening, the torque value applied will not be correct. For the wrench to work correctly you must only apply torque to the end grip/handle area and never above it. Overall a well done video in my opinion.
I’m trying to figure how how the blades are supposed to be aligned when you put them back on, I keep getting that strip down the middle that it’s missing
Because of the torque spec. Most people ignore it cause it's faster to quickly tighten it but there's always the chance you'll strip out the bolt or not tighten it enough. Applies to all bolts
So many complaints! Good job. Thanks for taking the time to do this video. It helped me out.
Excellent video! Thanks for including socket size needed.
Thanks, I sucked up an unseen patio block in the grass and bent one blade pretty severely. Now to rig up some sort of jack.
They make a special mower Jack. Super useful. Picked one up at Harbor Freigjt for $250 or so.
The mower deck comes off very easy if you're looking for a cheap fix

Wichway does the bolt on blades turn
Where can i buy a cupped washer?
Why not use the impact to tighten the bolt back on?

So dumb question - how do I keep gas from leaking out when i lift it up?
Put acut off valve on fuel line in between gas tank &cabeurator
I believe it’s a 5/8” bolt.
What should I do If one of the blade is stuck bc is hitting the metal round peace
😮😮😊😅😮
😅
Reverse threads?
My exact question
I have a timecutter 50 that the middle blade always wears out on the top of the blade. Can you tell me why that happens?
I z f
I can’t stop the whole mechanism from turning. The blade is loose, so using the blade to hold the shaft still is pointless.
Grab the spindle from above where the belt is. If you can’t reach it then get someone else to hold it.
First step was own a lift in your garage. Lol. Effing useless video.
I’ve lifted the front of mine up by hand takes not a lot of strength and put a garbage can under it. It’s not rocket science
Use common sense, all you need is a jack😂
