      @@sparkestudio Now the link works, but it seems to be a different shockmount than the one you used in the video. The one used in the video seems to be one that is used INSTEAD of the included half yoke, while the linked one seems to be one that connects only to microphones where the yoke is not removable at all.

      @@user-yj2hu5cn4v I linked the YouShares cause it is far more affordable. I sold it off with my Shure MV7X microphone.
      The one I show is from JZ Microphone (I added a direct link) and is €98.35 I can't find it on Amazon. If you live in Canada like I do expect to pay a customs fee like I did for my JZ microphone Vintage V11 (Review posted about 11 hours ago).

    Hi, how are you, sir? I hope you had a wonderful day. I have a few questions to ask. Currently, I own a FIFINE XLR/USB Dynamic Microphone AM8 and the Focusrite Vocaster Two. I'm wondering if it would be worth it for me to upgrade to the Elgato Wave XLR - Audio Mixer or the RØDE PodMic USB Versatile Dynamic Broadcast Microphone with XLR and USB. Alternatively, should I consider the Rode PodMic Cardioid Dynamic Broadcast Microphone in black? I want to make sure I'm making the best choice, so your help is greatly appreciated.

      @@sparkestudio How can I stop the microphone from picking up sounds from the table when I bang it or move the mouse? I'm using a cheap, no-profile arm. Is this normal for the mic?

    • @sparkestudio
      @sparkestudio  4 місяці тому

      @@kingpaco87 better option is don't use a desk arm and use a wall mounted arm. Another option is to use a shock mount. I believe I list 2 options in the description of this video but one is very expensive and the other is very affordable. A shock mount reduces the bumping noises. To reduce noises like mouse movement you need the mouse further back on the desk so the mouse is behind the mic or at worse below it but nowhere near the front.

      @@kingpaco87 To be honest, the AM8 is a bit more sensitive to picking up the vibrance, though it's the problem with every mic, especially those dynamic ones without a well-design pop filter. So the PodMic could still suffer a bit from that kind of noises.

    Hello sir, how are you? In my country, both the tank3 and am8 are costing the same now, so which one is better in USB mode, considering I'll be speaking 4-6" away from the mic, and people are saying tank 3 has low gain, so they have to increase the gain alot. Whereas, i don't know, the am8 sounds amazing but it appears as if nose/throat is congested. So which is better if I'll be using in USB mode? U can maybe make a video comparing all the famous fifine microphones

    • @sparkestudio
      @sparkestudio  3 місяці тому

      @@nawalnautiyal6252 did you get to 11:16 in the video where I compare this to the AM8 in XLR mind you and thr Maono PD200X and a very expensive mic? Also I commented while using the AM8 which I reviewed on my channel under the name AM8T same mic boom arm in package and in that review I also commented on the horrible sound quality of the AM8 when using USB so that answers that question 😂. The more comparable mic with USB is the PD200x that sounds better with USB than XLR. Use the Maono software for tuning. The better mic for USB is the Maono PD400X which yes I also reviewed. I may do a round up USB and XLR which I might have done before the tank 3 in my PD400X review vs AM8 vs PD200X. To do a round up I need to be home I am not even back in the studio until September 26th at night. I am literally a construction worker and work at a work camp. I have a lot of equipment I bought out of pocket $100,000 USD since 2019 or 20K per year and put myself into huge debt. I have 2 channels, the other one is tech reviews.
      Thank you for your question though and thoughts expressing the desire of a round up. I deleted most of my round up videos because nobody views them. I used to have huge mega round up videos comparing wireless mics, USB mics and XLR but all of them got only 100 views or less. Those lack of views makes UA-cam hide your channel and kill it off.

      @@nawalnautiyal6252 to put it bluntly the AM8, the PD200X, PD400X and the Tank 3 all require a lot of gain. I reviewed some cheaper USB Fifine mics but some of the cheap ones sound just like that, cheap. The AM8 may sound fine from what you heard USB but to me it sounds like a low quality old 128k bit rate MP3. I have never heard or seen ANY UA-cam channel ever use the AM8 for their channel in anything other than XLR, for that the AM8 is impressive.

      @@sparkestudio hey, thank you for reply, I'm considering only tank 3 or am8 for now, pd400x costs a fortune here, and pd200x has tooooooo much presence boost, even after EQ, and the audio quality doesn't sound crisp to the ear, it will fatigue my ear after 5-10 mins only. So in USB, tank 3 or am8, if u remember which is better? I watched the full video, but it was hard to understand when if you're using USB mode or not in them, maybe a small label at the bottom of the screen will be helpful. So among them in USB, which is better? Am8 u said is trash, but is tank 3 bigger trash or better?

      @@nawalnautiyal6252 i specifically say im my video of thr AM8 when I am using USB audio. I use USB when i show anything online and streaming.... I am using XLR when i state in the video I am using XLR. If I put timestamps in the video of AM8 you would know by reading. The tank 3 video I didn't add time stamps yet. The tank 3 sounds fine either connection type. I just wish fifine has equalizer software for it. Gonna one day show what I can do with Xvox tone software to make all my audio sound better

    They told me that because I have the Focusrite Vocaster Two, I need a Cloudlifter. Please let me know if I do or don't need it, or if I should purchase another interface.

    • @sparkestudio

      @@kingpaco87 i reviewed the AM8, AM8T to be exact which is the mic with a desk arm using Vocator Two... I never needed a cloud lifter with the interface unless I want to talk far away. More boost means more self noise so be careful. I never used the Rode PodMic. I would recommend the electro voice RE320 if you want a sweet mic but it's not cheap. I just bought myself the Lewett Ray but I am getting pricey with those options. Want cheap but fairly good try the Deity V-mic D4. The Fifine AM8 sounds fantastic in XLR for it's price is unbeatable. USB audio is the AM8 weak point. You don't need a mic with USb when the Vocaster Two or any other interface is USB to PC anyways.
      Elgato Wave XLR I also reviewed here and on my other channel. It is no batter than the Vocaster Two other than it's software and the headphone out / line out isn't as clean as the Vocaster Two. I only use the Vocaster Two and the Zoom F3 interfaces and sold off my Elgato Wave XLR, Scarlett 2i2 gen 3, sold off / gave away ALL my mano interfaces, the Universal audio 276 has slightly higher self noise I rented it and returned it, sold off Audiofuse rev 2 interface it had odd issues great gain but not always predictable behavior.
      If starting out i recommend using the AM8 with XLR only and when things pickup getting something more pro or just get something really good you'll love and spend to avoid apending more later.
      I got the Lewett Ray (review next week) because it changes the volume for me when I move, no need to fix in post edit.

      With over 70dB of gain from Focusrite Vocaster Two, leave alone the AM8 that needs no more than 50dB of gain, or the Podmic that requires around 60dB, you can even drive the gain-hungry SM7B without any issue.

      @@kingpaco87 the best type of mic to use to remove background noise is generally a dynamic mic. The fifine AM8 is certainly impressive on the cheap. It has a good mid tone while this mic is more bright but also rejects background noise. To remove background noise and methods to do so I have a video with 5 different programs with differences shown... Since I am stuck using a Mobile phone I have to go to my playlist called Hot tips where I list audio and video hacks and write again to post the link.

      In terms of convenient and easy setup, the best one is just the OBS filters. If you also use the RTX graphic card on your computer, then consider the RTX voice app to eliminate the background without effecting the raw audio too much.
