Absolutely one of the best out there, its ashame they dont get the recognition they deserve! this is one of those songs that will always be in my play list forever, it just has that natural ability to grab ahold of you and stay with you throughout the years. Thanks for posting this.
I agree 110%. Fine song about life no doubt. Called in to WBOX in Varnado La growing up and we’d have them play that weekly. That and foster and Lloyd two of my all time favorites groups. Every song just yanks you up and says here’s how it’s gonna be 👌
There really hasn't been any band like The Desert Rose Band that has had such a great unique sound as this band has since the REALLY late 80's to 1990 what say you the you tube viewers of this song and so of their other releases???
I totally agree with you I love watching their videos. I can't get enough of their singing. I hope they live forever! I saw them in oncert once and wish to see them again!
Amen. I agree totally. DRB was one of the best. Will never forget those times either. That’s when country was country and everyone I knew was into horses. All of their music just fit . I sure miss the 80s
It would take another life To see what I have done Have I lived through the best times? Have I hurt anyone? Just to do it all over Make it all rhyme Like a book with no cover Like a page out of time If I had another lifetime If I had another day I might have walked a straighter line I might have known what to say In another lifetime In another day If I say what's on my mind Would you love me anyway? Started walking down a one-way-street Now I can't return Ain't nobody coming after me This is the lesson I've learned I'm no stranger to the bad times I'll just stand my ground And remember that the good times Don't always come back around If I had another lifetime If I had another day I might have walked a straighter line I might have known what to say In another lifetime In another day If I say what's on my mind Would you love me anyway? If I had another lifetime If I had another day I might have walked a straighter line I might have known what to say In another lifetime In another day If I say what’s on my mind Would you love me anyway?
I remember cruising down the 101 fwy in my Subaru, drums in the back, on the way to my gig at the VFW listening to this album. What great memories. Thanks DRB!
John Jorgenson is incredibly smoking hot on lead guitar. He actually played a Gibson Les Paul quilt top in the video. He also sported his cute long hair as well as sporting a black leather jacket.
Jay Leno had these guys on one night soon after release. They played "Trouble on the Playground". I'd never heard of the band but I did know of Hillman. Bought the cassette the next day.
@rsfasteddie There are two of what you are looking for on UA-cam. I don't think they are official videos though.. That song has that wicked sounding guitar playing in it right from the get go. Great song!!
Can any body tell me what the members of the Desert Rose Band is up to these days? Obviously they aren't together as a band as far as I know. Could some one clue me in on the dealing of this great band? Thanks. Tony Ridlen
One of the most under rated songs in history. The lyrics are haunting and remind me of my life.
Amen to that. Epic words
This song was one of their best and so true.

Nice beat .I am not a big country music fan but Early 90's country was so cool! A lot of it had a rock beat. Good for dancing.
Chris Hillman ........ the most underrated member of the Byrds !
These boys were so awesome!!! 👍

Well, some.

This band in country music was one of the best and loved this song.
The Desert Rose Band had great releases on all of their hits but "In Another Life Time" has my all time favorite.
RIP Bill Bryson
Your toes can't help but tap to this hit from the Desert Rose Band classic "In Another Life Time"
Tony, it's "L-I-F-E-T-I-M-E". In Another Lifetime.

Great song and there's many more that this Band that released that are great to listen to.
LEGENDARY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always loved this song. Can't imagine how many times I listened to it repeatedly.
I wish they could of made it farther through the 90's. 90's country sounds the best..
It would take another life
To see what I have done
Have I lived through the best times?
Have I hurt anyone?
Just to do it all over
Make it all rhyme
Like a book with no cover
Like a page out of time
If I had another lifetime
If I had another day
I might have walked a straighter line
I might have known what to say
In another lifetime
In another day
If I say what's on my mind
Would you love me anyway?
Started walking down a one-way-street
Now I can't return
Ain't nobody coming after me
This is the lesson I've learned
I'm no stranger to the bad times
I'll just stand my ground
And remember that the good times
Don't always come back around
If I had another lifetime
If I had another day
I might have walked a straighter line
I might have known what to say
In another lifetime
In another day
If I say what's on my mind
Would you love me anyway?
If I had another lifetime
If I had another day
I might have walked a straighter line
I might have known what to say
In another lifetime
In another day
If I say what’s on my mind
Would you love me anyway?

BRAVO! Thanks for the great post. I love this group.
These guys are brilliant can't believe this video doesn't have more views. Thanks for the vid.
How was this left off their greatest hits CD? It's one of my top 3 with "Summer Wind" and "He's Back And I'm Blue."
i met them in 1990 , they played in my town with a local celebrity Rose Maddox. at a small party.. great band!
Our group, County Switch, warmed for them in the 90's in Shreveport, La. What a great bunch of guys!
What About Love is a great Desert Rose Band classic as well as Hello Trouble.

Still here in 2021.....
I never knew Chuck Norris was in a country band.
Daniel Irigoyen me either. Yes , that ‘rough’ look was short period. Chris shaved it off soon after this shoot was done.
still love these guys
I believe this release was on the charts in 1988 or 89 man how time flies when you are listening to music that you enjoy.
I think it was 1990.
I have a good memory and I'm certain this video came out in april 1990 on cmt.
That's the month and year I was born.
It was in the spring of 1990
John Jorgenson is incredibly smoking hot on lead guitar. He actually played a Gibson Les Paul quilt top in the video. He also sported his cute long hair as well as sporting a black leather jacket.

A great song!
John Jorgenson is playing a Gibson Les Paul electric guitar on several songs by The Desert Rose Band, such as "In Another Lifetime."
thyey had good music in 90s
The video for "In Another Lifetime" was directed by Bill Pope, who also directed "She Don't Love Nobody."
Hillman played on the Manasas album which was a classic.
@rsfasteddie

We had a ball shooting this at Zzyzx Dry Lake!
Guitarist John Jorgenson was great. He's got a little long hair and a black leather jacket in the clip. He's hot.
Yes, there has to be an oficial vid for that song out there?!?
hey how about 'Start all over again' Sounds a little like this one.Cant find it on here.
Southern California /Bakersfield sound. Popular trend for many years up to the 1990's.
'...but then you take a song like "In Another Lifetime" and you've got John Jorgenson playing guitar like Eric Clapton.' - Chris Hillman in 1990.
the guy that's singing the main lyrics with the beard am i the only one that can see him as a carpenter if he was,nt a singer?
What is Chris Hillman and Herb and the rest of the Desert Rose Band up to these days???
Can any body tell me what the members of the Desert Rose Band is up to these days? Obviously they aren't together as a band as far as I know.
Could some one clue me in on the dealing of this great band?
Thanks.
Tony Ridlen
