To anyone else that does this, just jack the car up, and loosen the tensioner from underneath. You can get plenty of leverage, and it’s actually much faster.
I have a question. Before you changed your alternator, was your volume on your radio not working and your battery kept on dying? I have the same issue with my vehicle. I researched about it and it says it can be my alternator that what is causing my battery to die constantly and the volume not working on the radio.
That absolutely matters, you got the wrong alternator. It could've been boxed wrong, the parts guy is dyslexic, or you ordered it for the wrong engine. In any case you are going to shred a belt and be stranded, or the belt won't fit at all
so there is actually only two mounting bolts on the front and the connections on the back thanks always easier after you watch someone else go through it

Sounds more like a wiring issue to me. But car would not run if it was alternator. Battery is definitely junk, start there
Anyway I can get a link to where you bought your new alternator? All the pictures of the one I've found only show it as a two bolt mounting setup

Mine hasn't gone out yet but I wanted to see what's involved. Pulling the air cleaner out is no big deal. I had to so I could get to the water pump.
