Great review, straight to the point, no stupid faces, stupid humour, inserts or images. Some people make reviews hard to watch. This review should be the gold standard, the bar to reach..
It sounded like the wireless filtered out some of the noise that the cable allowed through. I liked the wireless, sounded tighter and less screech. I just ordered one for myself. Thanks for the demo.
The wireless sounded great. I could hear a bot more treble with the cable, but i thinks its moot since the high end tend to he drowned out in the mix by tye cymbals.
The high end loss you get from a modest pedal board of pedals is far far greater and few ever mention that....probably blissfully unaware. Treble I find is never something that's lacking ie there's not enough...its usually the one thing I dial down a bit!
Great review and playing thanks. Definitely a very slight loss of top end with the WS70 but then you may be using a very expensive cable. I certainly have some cheap cables in my chain from time to time as well as a couple of non true bypass pedals so can't say that would be an issue.
Lekato has lower volume than cable. On distortion this affects the sound because simply the input volume is lower and thus gain. In order to make proper comparison you need to adjust gain and then play. I have this device and I didn't notice any signal quality change. I also noticed a lot less noise and hum as of there is some kind of intelligent noise and hum suppression built in. It doesn't work like gate, sounds more like an intelligent filter like in Zoom devices. BTW, This is the only device i know, where you can couple up to 4 receivers to one transmitter. For example you can send a dry signal for recording into your DAW a send it to guitar amp input as well. Or you can play on two different amps simultaneously.
Yep, I have these and there's definitely a slight volume drop when using these over a cable. Also there's a built-in noise gate, which is annoying to me.
I sold my WS-70 and baught the WS-50. I found that altho the WS-70 is good in terms of signal frequency, it sucks your tone so much (only has 86db dymanic range). The WS-50 which has true 110db, much closer to real cable tone. I play aggressively that's why I noticed immediately the volume dip when using the WS-70. Its as if the signal/output is compressed. Unlike the WS-50 which sounds so full and rich. Even compared it to my Mogami cable and the WS-50 tone is so close. The only downside is it runs on 5.8ghz which is not so bad 😅
The wavelength on the ws70 was more compressed than the wavelength with the cable so I can see where you think the gain wasn’t as much with that wireless.
Hi nice comparison. The Wireless is a bit more flat, the grit and the backgroundsounds = character sound is gone, and a less more bass. But its a choice you can walk free on stage. The cable is the connection input-pedals- amp. But let be honest, live even the most experienced artists with very expencive Fenders and/or Gibsons play so loud, so don't worry use this on stage, afterall the sound are you nad your hands. cheers Salomon aka Stonefish 9 - 11 Flight 84
Nice demo. I did hear a slight difference is tones, between cable and the ws70. The cable will always tend to send out or carry a clean signal, it retained its treble highs for the progression you played. The ws70 lost some of that treble and sound slightly bassier. I found the same effect on my setup, using the Shure UT1-TG. I discovered it when I decided to purchase the American Fender Strat Pro II, with V-mod II package. Was a switch from a mexican strat. But this wireless setup isn't bad, I believe it will fill the gap, and with the V-Mod system, I can sweeten the tones.
Hi, I ordered the swiff audio variant for my electric guitar. I'm very disappointed because the volume drops drastically 2 seconds from the last note I play. Doesn't squeal, and can't take long sustains. I wonder if you also experience this.
Yes yoi are right the a bit less gain i can hear it the different when you play both cable and ws,..it juat a bit no much but sound still good and lekato great product to but...thank you for the video...
I just tried it on my bass and the signal sounded very heavily compressed. Not an unpleasant sound, but I don't want it compressed all the time. Is there anything I could do to alleviate this issue?
Dec 2022 just bought it. Def a loss of some volume and tone. Not a lot. But I wouldn’t record with it. Great for practicing at home. In a live gig I suppose you just crank everything a little and you’re fine.
En otras reviews decían que hacía ruído y que tenía un compresor cuando atacabas fuerte las cuerdas. Acá no se vé nada de eso. Espero que así sea, porque ya compré el mío
I have this system and it works great. There are often signal issues in my house but this seems to do pretty well. Anywhere else it is fantastic. I would not use it to record but it's fantastic for cruising around the house making my neighbors cringe LOL. This is 2.8ghz. There are also UHF and 5.8ghz systems. I own all three as one will always work regardless of the type of interference I may be having. They can be a tight fit in some guitar sockets.
You really needed to play it with a clean tone. not distorted tones as they all sound the same, very mushy, so I now I still don't know if there is a tonal difference between cable or wireless, shame.
@@arrowinstall Agree, it has a little loss but when you turn your amp settings a bit higher (gain and eq) you will be confused. Then the WS-70 is the master here.

Really appreciate it Luke!

I agree! Thanks
on palm mute part lekato has huge hiss noise, cable has not at all

Its a great unit and one I use live currently. Very good. No lose of tone, gain or volume for me.

The best way to test is playing clean. Its more difficult to hear with distortion added in.

is it me or the wireless system is clearer? maybe its due to slight compression and a tighter cutout? not sure but i am gonna give that a try.
Just ordered...thanks for your video...also ...great playing killer licks...and ...I love your kneckless were did ya get it.

Sounds the wireless has less dynamic.what is the difference between ws 50 and Ws 70? Thank you.

i do! i'm still trying to find a cheap amazon wireless that doesn't do that
I got them and I realized that in low gain touches, you lose part of the sound. like really soft tones
I think you are wrong about the sound comparison. With the wireless you got more(!) gain! 😉
Overall sound was better with the wireless set.
Sounds great to me, was there any hiss from the ws70 on a tube amp?
Yes yoi are right the a bit less gain i can hear it the different when you play both cable and ws,..it juat a bit no much but sound still good and lekato great product to but...thank you for the video...
Fantastic review. Thanks!
does it work if it is directly connected to DI box?
Love your playing Rob
Thanks Graeme!
It's sucking the sustain of my distortion effects? Why is that?
Good tone and volume, but there is gate effect that causes a loss of sustain. Just so you guys know.

help me dear is it UHF like lekato A8 UHF that i use which is never disconnect in outdoor strong air
I thought the WS70 sent out a warmer tone than the cable .
A little more power coming from the cord but, not that noticeable. Same thing I noticed with mine
Ive used mine for like 3 times then now after charging it it doesnt work. It lights up green but no sound is being transmitted. You have any advice?

it's not 2.8ghz. it is UHF

Can I charge them directly into a computer or do I need the charger?
Any port that gives off 5v.
TV usb port, powerbank, pc, ....
Nice chops 🎸
Great Video subbed
how about bass??will it work?
Did you notice a HISS??? Swiff audio has the same model, too...Are they just the same?
sir I have a question, what is the difference of WS-50 & WS-70??
WS-50 operates on 5.8 Ghz whereas the 70 operates on 900Mhz (which as less traffic on that frequency)
Can this be used seamlessly with an active bass guitar?
My bass player uses these at gigs & has no issues!
@@RobGalley Nice! I assume he’s using an active bass guitar?
@@stanleyuy3405 yep, Ibanez active. Sounds good for the live stuff 🤟
@@RobGalley I use an Ibanez too! Thank you.
Just bought one. Has muffled output. Low vol/gain.
I bought one of these and hated it. Can't see why they get so many great reviews when they squelch all your attack when you play hard.
Will it work with acoustic guitar?
Absolutely I got one of these and very impressed.
Whats difference between Ws-80 (2,4 Ghz) and Ws-70 (uhf) , tell me plz
lol
The WS50 has higher db range, wich will give a fuller sound.
Best to do a blind test so it doesn't bias you

It’s not really about the tone, More about the signal/dynamics. Volume/clarity.
No it's not, I need to hear the clean tones to see if they vary from a cable. @@RobGalley
Does this work with active pickups?
X2
@@raymundoabadhuicabtorres8548 Just picked these up and tested with a couple of different guitars and they do work with active PU's.
You could have used an amp instead of an interface into a PC.
This thing will NOT hold a whole note tied to a half note at 60bpm.
Tasty!
You loss Volume, and sustain. it also, sounds muted with the wireless unit. Cable much better
the tone has a big difference compared to a cable.
These are only good for clean sound .with heavy distortion the volume cut in and out. There no good
Cable sounds much better.
Ordered and waiting on the WS70 but you do lose and little of the higher end. Still so close not to have one around.
@@arrowinstall Agree, it has a little loss but when you turn your amp settings a bit higher (gain and eq) you will be confused.

Won't work with a pedal board.
Zero difference or better between cable and this wireless to my ears.
They do not have the out put as a normal guitar lead . And sound. Total junk good for a child playing at home
no clean tone, suspicious
Shit wireless, the latency so bad!!
Bad buy. 15% loss of tone and sound!!
