For your "sticking out " issues, use a 3 foot male to female cable. Attach the wireless gizmoe to guitar strap behind you. Velcro or other ingenious method. Pro style.
Huge difference bro :) ! Lacks mids and bass big time.Sounds really flat, like you have already eq/compressed it. Thanks for the review. It saved me from buying it now :) ! Keep it up!
I recommend knowing your gear as the user and knowing what EQ differences to make between the two if you prefer a certain sound. That will get you closer at least. I think the payoff is worth it with slight changes in sound.
This was a great review. You may not have heard a difference in the room but the bottom end dropped out a little bit with the wireless, but not terrible. I noticed on the violin that it probably had the most favorable results because you're not having lower frequencies on the notes. I actually just bought one and I'm going to try it out tomorrow on my basses. I'm charging them up now and plan on using them at a future gig. I love the fact how portable it is. Thank you for your review.
@@AlexPriceMusician I played with it about a half hour and was very pleased with it. It made my Precision sound nice and bright. I hope it is good during a gig situation.
One reason there is low interference is because it's a UHF frequency and not WIFI or where the cell phones live. It's an older (now regulated area) that is relatively quiet. Not as quiet as pay for use licensed frequencies like channel 38 but I haven't seen any interference complaints on any brand using UHF. Hey, it's 2021, electronic crap should be good, and cheap. Thanks for your useful input.
I really noticed the cable having a clearer sound during the distortion, which is to be expected, but I would definitely probably use this for practice. I mean 36 bucks. I'll definitely be looking into this more
This is my first time on this channel. Great to see that violin popping up in the video! I always watch this kind of videos hoping that for violin players, like me, the review with a guitar is good enough. Thank you for that violin at the end!
Listening with Sony MDR-EX082 (low budget wired in ear headphones with reasonably flat response) into a 2017 Surface and a iPhone 6 and I hear more low end with the 1/4" connection. Almost a little on the "muddy" side (for me, at least - just a personal preference). The Lekato low end was tighter sounding and a little less pronounced. Same with the distortion pedal. I didn't hear much difference in the high end. The bass sounded "tighter" as well with the Lekato. On the other hand, the violin had a subtlety less "shrill" tone that I preferred with the Lekato. Thanks for the demo on this because I've been considering something like this for awhile.
Do you experience any “noise” or “hiss”? I just got the lekato ws70 and it sound good but I do notice noise, especially as the sound of the strings fades away (the noise comes up, and then disappears too, as though it had a gate). Maybe this one is better?
With the wireless system, the sound looses some highs, something between 10khz to 20khz, and lows maybe something between 20hz and 200hz. But for the price is really nice
Hi there. I am planning to get one of this for my first wireless gadget. But I do have a question. I have been hearing this statement about cheap wireless kit: " ... When you are on the distorted amp channel, and you are not playing the guitar, there will be a noise coming out of your amp ... " Does this noise stop when you turn off your volume knob? What if I use a noise gate, will this solve that noise problem? By the way, this is a very good video. I like the fact that you are a multi instrumentalist. Keep up the good work. :)
That 60-cycle him should be muted when you turn down the volume on your guitar, so it’s not something I typically worry about. This wireless shouldn’t exaggerate it at all if that’s what you’re worried about. A noise gate is unnecessary in my opinion.
Definitely a bit thinner sounding than than cable. I bought something similar from Lekato, same price but does rotate, can't complaign for the price but haven't found myself using it. Funnily, the violin sounded great.
I have the same one now too. Works well. I’ve also since learned that all of these affordable wireless kits have a low roll off to help with the inherent noise floor to using internet-band frequencies.
@@AlexPriceMusician interesting to know the "why". I've always sworn by Boss products but their "bug" system is about 6 times the price. It would be interesting to know if that is any better or if you're just paying for the name. "CS Guitars" channel has just reviewed the new Nu-X 5G system, and that does look good, dearer but not as much as Boss.
Nux has a large advertising budget so that’s reflected in their prices for sure. Lately I’ve been using the Brian Fay BF-1 system. That one seems to be the most consistent as it has multiple channels to choose from. Also comes with a charging case so as long as you remember to place the wireless kit back in it, you can keep it in your guitar case for a month + without taking them out to recharge.
Like everyone else said, your losing low end and overall tone with wireless. I wonder if the other Lekato systems sound better, the more expensive ones. Good review young man. - Blessings, Al
I feel like the wireless has a flickering quality to it, as if it has an uktrafast tremolo that doesn affect the general perception but you feel it. Also the sound in general is washed out so yeah, this is a compromise but i guess it works in many scenarioes still
Hi man. I want to plug the transitter in amp from a microphone, and connect the reciver to headphones. Would it work if the audio in the transmitter is amplified. Or does the reciver have to be amplified
Yeah the receiver doesn’t put out enough to power a set of headphones. I would look for something similar to the Xvive U4 wireless in ear kit. I’m sure Lekato or another company makes a more affordable version
With the clean tones, could hear more of the higher frequencies with the wireless. As to be expected, more of a cable capacitance issue with using leads. Was surprised with the amount of low end loss with the driven tones though. Very noticeable! I'm afraid that's a bit of a deal breaker for me. Unfortunate, as it really is a fantastic price for a wireless option. Might be a worthwhile investment for at-home practice.
what or where is the best place to buy a power adapter that goes with this guitar system? I've been wondering where you can buy power adapters and do you know the model number for this system your using? :)
Could you please tell me how to pair this devise....please...steps. The little manual is worthless and I can not get it to work. Thank you for a great review.
Alex, thanks I got it. I notice the distance on my device is not very good. I think I got about 15 feet before I lost the signal. Did you find this? I’m using an acoustic guitar with an active pickup system. Not sure if this has anything to do with the shorter distance? Thanks for your help and amazing fast response.
Yeah that’s odd. Mine definitely goes plenty more than 15 feet. It’s possible you might be experiencing WiFi interference. Maybe move to a different location and see if you have the same issue.
So one transmitter in your guitar, and one receiever at the beggining of the pedal board. And then at the end of the pedalboard another transmitter, that goes with a receiver that's going into your amp. I think so. I don't see why not.
I have seen that unit for sale on amazon and eBay and none of the listings say it is a 5.8Ghz transmitter. Unless it says specifically you should check to make sure. I doubt it personally.
It says in the listing that it's UHF so it could be anywhere from 300mhz-3ghz. Since someone said that it interferes with their wifi it's probably operating in the 2.4ghz band which many wireless devices also do. My advice to that poster would be to get your devices on 5ghz wifi.
i have to confess i wasnt expecting this level of musicianship. this video was very informative and your chops are awesome. keep it up

I bought this as my first wireless and first thing I did was buy a 90 degree adapter cable so I could velcro the transmitter to the side of my SG

Sounds good actually! Like 95% as good as the cable
Thanks for your thoughts Craig!

I agree there is a small difference. In a band mix though it wouldn't matter so much
darker sounding?
Is it possible for two receivers to pick up the signal from a single transmitter ( play through 2 amps simultaneously) thanks for the video
