I highly recommend giving it another try but go during the day like around lunchtime. Order some Orange Chicken, Fried Rice, and a side of Cream Cheese Rangoons. You’ll thank me later.

I've had good panda express and i've had terrible panda express... it doesn't really matter when you go. I used to work in an authentic Chinese food restaurant when i was a kid, and every dish was made fresh when ordered.
When I worked at a pizzeria, unless it was super busy all night, we’d start putting food away with about 10-15 minutes to go before closing. And anyone who shows up to a restaurant like 5-10 minutes before closing, and expects to get a freshly cooked meal is just an A-hole. The staff isn’t staying an half an hour after the restaurant closes to wait on you. They have their own ish to be doing, like washing dishes, mopping floors, and sorting out the register, so that they can go home and be with their families, or just get some sleep before their next work shift.
