I think you need to take more breaks. Quality is dropping a lot... For example in the eclipse vs video where you forgot to mention almost 900 fighters in a matchup. I think a slower, more even pace would be more rewarding!
There’s a thing you forgot about the hammerhead corvette, it was meant to face other ship frontally to not show it’s body so the weapon added are actually ingenious as to not show it’s profile add to that the possibility of shooting all six off it’s weapons when the CR-90 can shoot only 5 of his whatever the side and don’t forget what there is on wookieepedia.
I know, I am not dissing the venator, it is my favorite large ship, it is just that when compared to other star destroyers, it is often commented that it isn't quite as well armed because of it's secondary roal as a carrier
Apparently, the weapons on the Hammerhead corvette are _laser_ cannons, not turbolaser cannons. If this is the case, then the CR90 obviously would win. The turbolasers on the CR90 seem pretty powerful, too.
@@mrjtfang2 The turbolasers on the CR90 can be seen firing many times per minute in the first space battle seen in the Star Wars saga, and that's just from one turret.
@@infinitecanadianwell, I guess the tantive IV had some modifications because in the BF2 story quests (canon) you could completely rip them apart with your TIE fighter
The Hammerhead has a massive advantage that was somehow completely glossed over in this video. In a combat scenario, the extra speed on the Hammerhead, as well as the assumed bonus maneuverability, would allow it to round on the CR-90 and crash straight into it. The narrow space frame would also make it harder to hit than assumed here, especially when it has its bow pointed at the CR-90, which is it's modus operandi. If the hammerhead can smash into the CR-90 at even half the speed it got the Star Destroyer with, the small CR-90 would be snapped in half.
Trxp Chimper anakin often kept his starfighter in the cargo bay/hangar that could give the Twilight an advantage. Being these ships are taken as they normally existed, this has to be included.
the tantive 4 was only disabled because its reactor suffered a direct hit from a heavy turbolaser also hamerhead verses arquitens comand cruiser and great video
I agree wholeheartedly for the simple fact is that if the Blockade Runner turns in any direction can start literally pounding the other ship with heavy turrets capable of not just damaging but almost annihilating the other ship fantasy te says it's her in any direction while he's doing this he can avoid the Hammerhead all together and then have blinking maneuver turds on them each and every time that the Hammerhead it's just not fast enough nor is it durable and 11 engines to four means that no matter how fast the Hammerhead thinks it is the Blockade Runner is specifically designed in every single way shape and form to just be that much of a badass for that situation
I would love to see the future USS Enterprise D from the series finale "all good things" versus an imperial Star destroyer under the command of Darth Vader's.
N. Nnamkcurts what do you mean larger version? I thought there was only one type of Province. Are you sure you're not talking about the Malevolence, which was a Subjugator class?
Just watched a clip for what you are talking about, Kanon and Esra taking the AT-AT aside. Rex's AT-TE was old, with unreliable power systems and patchy armor. A clone wars era, fresh off the assembly line, would more resilient than the one in Rebels, plus a small group of AT-TE mass cannons easily decommissioned at least two separatist frigates in the clone wars series, and the frigates would have been more heavily armored than the average AT-AT. So this match may be closer than you think.
Eckharts, the two turrets on the "hammer" by the bridge are Turbolasers, not laser cannons. Also, the four pod turrets on the CR90 are heavy laser canons, not turbolasers, meaning the matchup is very close, closer than you thought. the Hammerhead was actually designed for light ship-to-ship combat with other ships of it's size and sometimes a bit larger. The CR90 was used early on because it could keep up with the X-Wings, Y-Wings, and A-Wings to a degree and provide fire support so that they could do the damage it couldn't to craft like the ISD, ISD-IIs, Victories and Venators
For the final matchup, I think that, after your second largest battle ever yesterday, an appropriate way to finish off the week would be a massive battle between the Star Forge and the Death Star to make your biggest battle yet. A force fueled clash of quality versus quantity on a massive scale
@@starlight0313 Four years later on a comment with no likes is some commendable commitment! I believe my logic was that, given enough prep time, the Star Forge would be able to construct a large enough fleet to crowd the field, making it difficult to impossible for the Death Star to target the Star Forge for that one shot. From there, I figured it'd be a fight between their respective fleets with the Death Star using its superlaser and turbolasers to aid its smaller fleet to try and break through to the Star Forge while the Star Forge would just keep trying to pump out more ships faster than the Death Star can stop them. I don't know if this would actually remotely work, but that's part of why I recommended it

Do you feel that those CR90s that have turbolasers on (or in lieu of) the port and starboard airlocks could rotate and fire at ships directly behind them, or is the engine block still in the way?
To add to the tantive for the second category, “From a certain point of view” mentions the corvette was already badly damaged before the space battle over Tatooine, with many major systems inoperable or offline
The Hammerhead Corvette was slightly faster than the CR-90, but its real advantage was in the form of pushing power. With the fourth engine installed, the Hammerhead was capable of producing exceptionally high amounts of thrust for a vessel of its size, enabling it to effectively ram a much larger ship. This is the one of the reasons why Admiral Raddus specifically requested a Hammerhead Corvette to perform the ramming maneuver; the Rebel Alliance couldn't afford to waste a larger ship, and none of their other small vessels were powerful enough.
As to the size of Hammerhead Corvette, we indeed do not know it's official size, but we do know official size of Imperial Star Destroyer, which is 1600 meters. Basing on this and comparing size of those two ships on the screens from Rogue 1 (hammerhead is twice smaller than "niche" in side of SD, and the "niche" is about 1/7 of it's lenght), it seems that Corvette has size of 1/14 of the Star Destroyer, so I would estimate it's size is about 114 m. That makes Hammerhead Corvette somewheat smaller than CR90 (150m). Hope it helps :)

A suggestion for your vs and top 5 series. How about top 5 modifications you would personally make to a stock ship, top 5 technology manufacturing companies, X company product vs Y company product. Eg Seinar vs Incom. For instance the top 5 modifications I would make to a stock YT-1300 Freighter 1: Class 1 hyperdrive 2: Quad laser canons 3: A scaled down Heavy Turbo Laser based on the design used on the SPHA-T during the clone wars, mounted between the forward mandibles, filling the space below the concussion missile tubes. Augmented with a Kyber crystal for extra firepower. 4: Capital ship hull armor and Redundant shield generators (Like Mon Calamari ships) 5: An auxiliary power generator and batteries to transfer additional energy to the main heavy gun, or shield systems. Not sure if I'd call it a light corvette or heavy raider.
Looking at it, you would need to trim down the hammerhead section of the bridge by about 50% in order to make it plausible to stick heavier guns onto the ship, or take off other sections to do the same.
Look closely at 6:02 you can see the Hammerhead slowing down before impacting the destroyer. Also if it were at full speed why would the captain order the crew to accelerate after the impact?
3:16 If this is indeed what I think it is, you should give credit to the Shapeways store who created that model for the Star Wars Armada game. Guy creates great 3D printed models on there.
C90 corvettes were used for transporting VIPs and cargo. Rebels liked them due to their speed but they were ineffective versus bigger capital ships. But They did make effective anti starfighter screens for larger ships.
There's a cutscene in KOTOR where a similar ship to the hammerhead fires its front cannons upon the Star Forge and successfully destroys the bridge within a few seconds. 3400 years of improvements should have been made. The front cannons are more of turbolasers because of its fixed design. If they were quadlasers, you would expect them to be more able to fire upon quicker targets. Which means they would need more area to fire, however these are fixed.
Something else that may be intangible that I have only ever seen in one thing before, EVE Online: turret tracking speed. If the turbolaser batteries rotate and track targets slower, the Hammerhead now has a major hidden advantage, being able to out-traverse the turrets of the CR-90 and preventing it from getting direct hits, with more glancing hits or misses.
The only chance I see for the Hammerhead is to get behind the CR-90 and disable the engines. However, as you concluded: Both of these ships are fast and nimble, so this would be extremely difficult to pull off, especially with these light guns
love the hammerhead from rogue one, was blown away when they ramned it into the destroyer the ghost vs the millennium falcon wouldbe a great fight, seeing as the ghost has a smaller 2nd craft
Even though I have seen New Hope countless times it was not until this video that I noticed C-3PO has a silver leg, then I looked it up and apparently it's one of the primary examples of the Mandela effect of people remembering things incorrectly.
I'm not sure you're correct about the size disparity, they look very similar in size. As far as I know the Hammerhead is quite slow especially next to a Blockade Runner ... So really the Runner has the speed and firepower so this is a no contest.
Turns out, after careful analysis of Rogue One and cut scenes from Rebels, the Hammerhead is only 2/3rds the size of a CR-90. Estimates put the length at 100 meters. The shot pointed out in this video (according to the studio) is suppose to have the Hammerhead closer to the camera than the Corellian Corvette. As it is originally just a cargo hauler, the smaller size makes sense. The Rebel version is a top-down conversion of the base model, in an attempt to make it combat worthy.
CAS Covenant Assault Carrier Vs Bellator Super Star Destroyer. ..with Escorts about two CSS Class BattleCruisers and Four Covenant Heavy Corvettes For the Assault Carrier and for Bellator Two Imperial 2 Star Destroyers and Four Victory 2 Class Star Destroyers (and this is my fourth try but with a twins)
A unmodified CR90 only has two weapons. Dose for extra ones are mounted on crew escape pods, it has 12 escape pods in all. The hammerhead is so much smaller and less armed compared to the capital ship hammerheads long before.
I don't know if you are right about the guns on the hammerhead or not but I would like to note the SW laser and turbo lasers are particle weapons that depend on reacting. Tabana gas to generate the weapons powweful blast.
You can see the Hammerhead Corvette even crunch through a good maybe meter or two of the plater on the ISD while its pushing it and not take much damage
I'd like to see the V-wing AirSpeeder vs the T-47 "Skyspeeder" variant (which supposedly had upgraded repulsorlifts and a pressurized cockpit for high altitude). I think that would be a good versus match up.
Thank you thank you thank you so much! I was dying for this one! Those are two of my favorite ships! I truly enjoyed your video. My sincere thanks. This video (as all of your videos) was phenomenally well made. :-) Keep it up!
I'm not sure if it was a different version of the hammerhead but i it has is heavy high power forward facing canons to engage larger ships and the smaller lazes are to provide it self from fighters
the guns at the front of the hammerhead look to be relatively the same size or bigger than the dual turbo lasers on the CR 90. So by your own logic I would assume those are anti capital ship, I agree the rest look like anti fighter, but the front ones would be turbo lasers, if you look at their mounts I would assume they only swivel up or down.. not to useful for targeting fighters.
The cr90 has some good support from the hammerhead. The cr90 will shoot at larger ship while the hammerhead could cover it from fighters. you should make like team death match like cr90 and Hammerhead vs some imperial ships
Good call, It was the right decision. CR90 is a well balanced and fairly heavily armed ship for it's size, and as a Blockade Runner is should be very fast, so I don't think the Hammerhead had much if any speed advantage.

For instance the top 5 modifications I would make to a stock YT-1300 Freighter
1: Class 1 hyperdrive
2: Quad laser canons
3: A scaled down Heavy Turbo Laser based on the design used on the SPHA-T during the clone wars, mounted between the forward mandibles, filling the space below the concussion missile tubes. Augmented with a Kyber crystal for extra firepower.
4: Capital ship hull armor and Redundant shield generators (Like Mon Calamari ships)
5: An auxiliary power generator and batteries to transfer additional energy to the main heavy gun, or shield systems.
Not sure if I'd call it a light corvette or heavy raider.
Providence class vs Victory II class
Looking at it, you would need to trim down the hammerhead section of the bridge by about 50% in order to make it plausible to stick heavier guns onto the ship, or take off other sections to do the same.
the twilight vs the outrider
What about those cheek mounted guns on the hammer head? they look at least as big as the turbo lasers on the CR90
HMP Droid gunship vs tie defender
Tie wins every time fighters are made to destroy slower craft like gunships
The two serve different roles, the TIE would win. I do see why you suggested it though since they had similar armourments
Remember that the HMP gunship is an in-atmosphere vehicle, so the match must take place in the sky.
Look closely at 6:02 you can see the Hammerhead slowing down before impacting the destroyer. Also if it were at full speed why would the captain order the crew to accelerate after the impact?
Commandos vs deathtrupers
3:16
If this is indeed what I think it is, you should give credit to the Shapeways store who created that model for the Star Wars Armada game. Guy creates great 3D printed models on there.
A-wing vs tie interceptor
Wow, spot on!
Also, I forgot to add a suggestion I was thinking of, although it is land vehicles.
A Combine Strider from Half-Life 2 versus an AT-TE.
e-wing vs viper
2:23 is that the ghost from rebels i see at the battle of Scarif?
B-wing fighter vs Tie Defender
A B-wing is slow and great against capital ships, but very bad against starfighters
C90 corvettes were used for transporting VIPs and cargo. Rebels liked them due to their speed but they were ineffective versus bigger capital ships. But They did make effective anti starfighter screens for larger ships.
Retribution class Battleship vs Executor (5th try)
I dont know the Retribution ship, but i like everything that mentions the Executor.
Which means they would need more area to fire, however these are fixed.
palleon sd vs secutor (4th try)
Something else that may be intangible that I have only ever seen in one thing before, EVE Online: turret tracking speed. If the turbolaser batteries rotate and track targets slower, the Hammerhead now has a major hidden advantage, being able to out-traverse the turrets of the CR-90 and preventing it from getting direct hits, with more glancing hits or misses.
I LIKE THE HAMMERHEAD CORVETTE, IT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHIPS!!!!! AND I USUALLY LIKE WATCHING YOU EckhartsLadder.
The only chance I see for the Hammerhead is to get behind the CR-90 and disable the engines. However, as you concluded: Both of these ships are fast and nimble, so this would be extremely difficult to pull off, especially with these light guns
love the hammerhead from rogue one, was blown away when they ramned it into the destroyer
the ghost vs the millennium falcon wouldbe a great fight, seeing as the ghost has a smaller 2nd craft
+Ian Reay I've done it!
Yeah but i mean a few hammerheads took out a super weapon, and they were pretty much the capital ship of their era.
AT-AT vs AT-ATE
Bismarck although the at te is way cooler it would get smaked
There is a video by an other youtuber, this is very good
Bismarck a youtuber called fact free made a video about it
Evan Burke i already said that(i only forgot the youtuber)
@9:12- umm don’t the engines provide the power? Like not just thrust but electrical power. They do in actual ships and aircraft.
Covenant supercarrier (halo reach) vs the classic isd
Only an Imperial Star Destroyer? The ISD would be overwhelmed in seconds.
When you have the technology to do so you should have some kind of simulator to show off who will win
A unmodified CR90 only has two weapons. Dose for extra ones are mounted on crew escape pods, it has 12 escape pods in all. The hammerhead is so much smaller and less armed compared to the capital ship hammerheads long before.
My 2 favourite ships! Imagine giving the CR90 ramming capabilities like the Hammerhead -DEADLY!
Terminus class destroyer vs the recusent class light destroyer(very often tried)
T-70 X-Wing VS Tie Defender
T-70 X-Wing is the upgraded model from The Force Awakens.
02:28 so if i stop the video u can see the Ghost crue aka the rebels cartoon close to the left corner wow cool
I did some resurch and I found out that the hammerhead is about 120meters long but the one from the old republic is 300 meters long
I love the vid, dude.
My request is Interdictor class cruiser (Sith Empire) vs. Hammerhead class cruiser (Republic Navy).
Destiny Hive/Taken Dreadnaught Vs The Malevolence (Subjugator Class Heavy Cruiser) Also, keep up the good work.
Cool, you should do a B wing vs a z95 head Hunter
the guns at the front of the hammerhead look to be relatively the same size or bigger than the dual turbo lasers on the CR 90.
Did anyone notice the ghost seems to be in rogue one or at least in that image were both ships were in the same image...
