My issue with the laser slicer is that it’s a much more annoying to use and less easy to hit with version of the pile bunker that also locks you into an animation for 6 months to get its damage off

FINALLY someone else who appreciates the absolutely nutty damage you can get out of the laser slicer. Also, that long combo gives you time charge right hand/shoulder weapons if you want more free damage without going for the full nuke
This buidl I use ends battles seconds after they start unless the enemy has terminal armor or a lot of health. I use the laser lance to build up that stagger gauge, then a shot with a Zimmerman to rise it all the way, then switch to the laser slicer and that usualy finishes them off, but I have sweet sixteen in case they survive the initial combo.
Yep, that's what a ton of hours spent training do to you. A machine-like precision in moves. Honestly, I finished the game just today (a first playthrough, not a NG++), and watching this replay (compared to my own movement) is straight off scary. Like seeing an actual Raven, a Gen 4 enhanced human.
Ngl. You'll see your movement change as you play the game--like certain missions you often got stuck on you can steamroll even with the same build but new movement tech. I mean that's only how I feel after finishing NG++ and replaying for that 100%

I S-Ranked this mission with a Nachreiter legs/torso based build with a blade + handheld missiles + two 10x shoulder launchers, fun combo of being long ranged and zippy as hell, making the stagger race always heavily biased to my advantage, and the close combat output was pretty impressive too with 24 missiles bumping someone in the face at the same time as the sword
I love builds that utilize the velocity of bullets to combo. It's what got me excited about the stun baton's charged attack having this ability to be planted on someone and then exploding. The combo potential looks so fun!
I love how armored core isn’t a game about playing fair or unoptimal to “look cool” or anything wimpy like that. We are here to be efficient killers. We will take home 95% of our mission profits or it’s considered a loss.
Wish there was a way to buff range or use ammo that nerfs damage but doesn't ricochet, kinetic weapons fun but you need to be up close and then you might as well use shotguns by then.
And nobody saw or heard 12 meters tall robot with super sonic rocket in his arse. Nobody did musters. And never used drones camera and mine fields. It's a stealth mission baby! Lore accurate! Or we can say, they left their BOSS alone with no guard, mb they just didn't like him, and that's why you (we all) was allowed to do this xD
This is what my headcanon is for the difference between an MT and an AC. And experienced AC is a brutally advanced and agile killing machine. Like the F35 in an active combat zone with an average military.

Nah, bad example for that. Bosses are the hardest part of the game, MTs are the easiest. ACs are middle of the road imo. If people are being filtered by bosses a boss destruction vid is what’s needed…Now the based individual who killed Balteus in under 20 seconds, HE’s a good example
someone who is cultured with the dual pistols, nice. for real though, even in PVP those pistols do some serious stagger and damage if u have the right specs.

@@BigBojoG near where you seek first for your target, towards the city, there is a heavy MT that holds a battle log, watch out for the nearby small ones, you still fail the mission if they lock on you, so kill them first before engaging with it (the heavy MT don't have a camera so you can take your time once you don't have a public)
@@foramagi8677 he is more of an alternative route, if you spare Swineburnes you have to fight him, you dont even need to see the MT to finish the mission
I wish it emphasized the stealth part more tbh. A few missions make them seem like they're going to have you work around stealth or environmental manipulation but they end up being exploitable in some way.
I wish we had a variant of pistols that emphasized ammo for spammy dual pistols but I kind've understand considering the competition for building stagger atm are bursty one shot weapons like shotguns.
@@venanreviews yeah I can see that but it kills me deep down inside cause some of these weapons I want to use on more ad intensive missions without resupply annoy me. Light weight builds have been a lot more fun to me than heavy weight or even a medium.
ducket's and close range fcs are recommended. I actually highly recommend VaatiVidya's video on building an AC. Really helps streamline the process and find an aim for your AC's purpose.

I kept making some builds I thought would work but I was building in a way that ended up making a lot of the builds counter-productive to their purpose. The AC building section at least gave me a better idea of where to begin. Having so much more fun building AC's that actually work now.
I want to say I was using the JVLN Alpha at the time. I also use this in my "plasma slicer combo" video and have the loadout listed there! (Though I change around the engine and generator time to time).
Am I the only one that found the game too easy? I mean, sure... some bosses are a bit difficult to deal with at first. But, once you beat them, it becomes almost trivial to win again. I blew through my NG+ and ++ games and was half asleep wreaking ACs by the end. I didn't even try to build OP, just a good balanced mech. I would have really liked more. More enemies, more missions, more big guys mixed in with little ones, more snipers and missiles on the sides... just a "full challenge." I hope they add a "hard mode" with things turned up. Otherwise, I'm sure the modders with make it.
I have a video I want to make at some point that actually touches on this. While I appreciate my first playthrough, I did notice it's fairly easy to cruise through with a well thought out build by the time you're on NG+. There's sections of maps that feel gigantic and explorable only for there to be nothing. Most of the time it's dispatchable enemies and dialogue paired with a "trap" so the dialogue gives away what's going on before it happens. I think enemy variety would help but I also think the style of "traps" need to not be so obvious. I don't need the COM or Ayre to speak about the ambush before I physically see it just because my lock-on does. I need to be punished for not using my scanner efficiently looking around. Things of that nature, otherwise I absolutely adore this game regardless.

200 hours yet still can't one-shot a boss also is there really a point for 200 hours playtime? Won't playing more be kinda useless after you get every part? I have like 40 - 70 hours and 60 - 74% of it is just trying to kill some of the broken bosses.

and the joke is, you can be waaay slower and get an S rank. I did the fight like 20 sec slower (the stealth part was just as quick I'd say)
