I rode Icon today - the mist was awesome even had to walk through it in the queue line. I love the airtime on the top hat and the hang time, the restraints mean arms up it feels like you really could fall out ! great video.
@@luca_mania It is painful. The restraints are so close to your head that it is impossible to avoid head banging. And it isn't like the smiler where the padding is comfortable so the head banging is bearable. At every turn you are sent into the restrains forcefully. Also the ride is a bit bland and apart from being over water, has no real scenery or theming to it. If the new vest restraints were installed then it might be ok but for now it is by far the worst ride at Pleasure Beach
🤣🤣. Tbh, it's not as bad as people say it is (at least it wasnt for me). After the rollover, it is stupidly rough but the drop and rollover is fine and quite fun.
There is so much hate for Infusion. Very sad really. It’s a great ride and the restraints are fine. There is a bit of a rough section on one of the loops but it’s no problem. Show some love for another quality ride in the UK 🇬🇧

Another great video Chris. Hope your feeling better now . Love icon front row now there is a front row queue but I also like the back if it's not raining . Thanks 4 sharing bro x
Im so hyped for this. I was on other Mack launch coasters in Europe and they all were fun as hell. This looks very different to them but very great too
Went to the pleasure beach yesterday. Now I am a big wooden roller coaster fanatic but this ride is something else. It's fast smooth and really gets the adrenaline going. I still think the national is my favourite at the pleasure beach but this is definitely a close second. Thanks for the great review and video.
I still don't understand the argument that you can be disappointed by the launches because the ride was marketed around them. Literally no Mack launch coasters have a forceful launch, but somehow you were expecting Icon to have a forceful launch because the park marketed the ride around it? I don't get it.
I'm going to disagree with you there because Velociraptor at IMG Worlds of Adventure has a great launch 👍 and I've done many other Coasters with LIM/LSM launches that do have a good kick to them. Mack launch or not, being "UK's first double launch coaster" and having launches like that is still disappointing to me. They had potential for a 'better' launch, but it was a wasted opportunity in my eyes.
I've ridden this over 200 times this year due to having a season pass. It's one of my favourite rides at the park - my only complaint is it could've done with one extra inversion! Did you know that it only has one full loop? The second launch loop isn't a full inversion. ❤️👍
Thanks so much! 🙂🙌 One day I would love to make this a full time thing, or at least reduce my work hours to focus more on the channel. When it becomes more sustainable I will definitely crank up the content 😁👍
Watched this video two months after going on icon lol At first I was really hesitant about going on this ride but it ended up being so much fun! I even bought some icon merch on my trip :)
Nice video, I am definitely considering heading out to Blackpool pleasure beach to go on the coasters there. They all seem pretty great! Keep up the great work!
These type of videos you are doing are sick mate! Been on Icon but not the smiler yet, haven't be too bothered about riding it tbh but the video you did of it got my hyped haha
I have been to universal and disney and busch gardens in florida and Icon is still my absolute favourite ride, this thing is wonderful. To be fair velocicoaster might beat it once i get a chance to get on that
Hello There, great Video, very well edited and fantastic commentary, fantastic disability access. Cheers Peter :) p.s. it does have really good theming. Thank you for producing this video, it was very helpful.
Going on Mon.... Tickets booked .. will be my first time on Icon, although I've done BPB many times over the years. Love the place!!! I'm not good with massive heights/drops, so I'm glad you said it's ok for peeps like me. I'll report back !!!
Icon is my favourite coaster in England. (other than Steel Vengeance; Icon is the only Roller Coaster T-Shirt I own!) My Austrian family is living in England and not Sweden, but if it were I'm sure I'd pick Helix over Icon. But now I'm broke. Please help me get to Sweden. (BTW I never heard of a different heigh restriction for the last row, but it's about the cars, so should that apply to the last two rows?) Don't stop me now: I'm having such a good time!
I rode it earlier this year and it was amazing. The queue was SO long, but you would kinda expect that from a rollercoaster during covid that is pretty famous. My friends said "never again" and "god I hated that" (as in it was really scary for them.) I too felt as though I was falling off my seat (as you do in every coaster), but unlike them I kept my cool, didn't scream and found my friends mildly amusing. I guess most people are not so calm about rides though, so I can't give as good as a review as they would. Incredible coaster though.
just rode icon 2 days ago and it was amazing overall BPB was amazing icon was so fun and my dad thought it was better than T-Express the INTAMIN PREFAB!
I have a question! Do you know that feeling that you get when you're going down that horrible feeling of your tummy in your mouth flipping around? Do you recommend any coasters that are tame on that part as I'm terrified of throwing up?!
It's very rare I get that feeling, unless it's the backwards part of Expedition Everest or pretty much any large drop tower! Most Coasters are fine! 🙂 Like I never get it on The Big One, despite it having a 200ft+ drop 👍
H The Big One is worth it for the credit but nothing special (though with BPB being my home park I must have done it at least 100 times) Icon is good fun though.

ScrewyLoops Well remember this name when it’s in the papers on Monday ‘Fat Man Stuck On Icon’ ha ha, cheers! The seats look spacious enough. I’m just not as slim as I used to be and I remember the Grand National being a squeeze when I was 15!

I doubt the park has any new plans to build a coaster yet for years, i mean let's be real it took more than 20 years for them to build a new ride. It's sad necause the park could do with another ride to replace the likes off big dipper or although it pains me to say it, grand national too.
