Good review Luke! I’ve been using the B52 for about three months now and love it! My weight stacks and pulleys were delivered today. Found your vid while looking for plate stack install vid. Again, great job!
let’s go!! thank you fam! Appreciate you and stoked for you and your gear!!! If you need any help with installing shoot me an email ! It’s in the description!
Dude! You beat me to it. I've been waiting on my monolift attachment before I made a video on all of their attachments. Lol, nice video. Amazing thumbnail!
@@LukesGarageGymThe lever arms allow you to mimic a lot of lever syle machines that you couldn't really replicate without them. Chest press, shoulder press, etc.
My only issue with my b52 is the lack of height for lat pull. They really need to add the attachment that other home gyms have which give height to the pulley system. It seems possible and if Major fitness adds that would be the icy. I wanted to get rid of my separate lat pull down machine until then I guess.
Thanks for this Luke! I bought the lever arms, pullies, and leg extension add on. I like doing shoulder press work with isolated plate load machines. I'm thinking about using the lever arms to do leg press movements too. Do you have any thoughts on this and if it'll work? Maybe I need an extension where the handles are to support where my feet would push
I personally haven’t tried! I mean, as long as you have the pin in for safety, I don’t see how you can’t. It just seems awkward unless you have a dedicated platform on it or something to keep your feet in position. I can see my feet sliding off the handles pushing heavier weight
@@LukesGarageGym awesome! Thanks! Also in order to get away from that 2 to 1 pulley system problem I bought 7' of chain from Home Depot 520 lb resistant for only $10. I am curious how it would work with the leg extension attachment along with lat pull downs
@LukesGarageGym thanks I'm super interested in those along with the weight stacks and aluminum pulleys , I'll be sure to use your affiliate link when I pull the trigger 🤝🏻
@ crap bro, so, I read this wrong and was multitasking. The tip pin has three adjustments that you have to choose but you can have the arms free up and down without pinning
Like a pulley system that works without the cables grinding on the frame soon to break and I haven't even had it for a year and can't wait to pay it off and get rid of it it sucks all around no lat pull down either and the 2 to 1 ratio is horrible also so major fitness sucks
I think it’s kind of inappropriate for them to be selling that pulldown bar attachment when the rack is way to small for any average size male to get a full range of motion on a lat pulldown using their leg extension attachment as well? Like it just doesn’t come close to fitting anyone that over 5 foot 5?
You’re not in the wrong bro. These racks are that sweet spot to fit almost any home gym and that’s why they make them this height but yeah, no matter what you’ll have to sit on ground for full ROM
Hey Luke with the weight stacks are there pin holes on both sides of the stack? Can you get 2 extender pins that go through both sides like what Vesta offers so you can load plates on both sides of the stack to keep it balanced? With only 170lbs stacks @ 2:1 ratio (i.e. max feel weight of 85lbs), I'd need to load 200lbs+ in plates on top of the stack to reach closer to 185lbs+ feel weight that I use for pulldowns and rows. Having that on just 1 pin on 1 side of the stack may make it lean or not pull as smoothly. Have you tried loading it pretty heavy? Could you even just keep the extender pins installed in the top plate so you always have built in plate-horns to load heavier and it's not something you have to keep adding/removing?
@@LukesGarageGym Awesome, would love to hear how it goes! We really need someone like RitFit or Mikolo or something to release an all-in-one like this that comes with 220lb+ stacks (or they can be added for a smaller cost) and ideally a switchable 1:1 and 2:1 ratio and the more standard 2" x 2" (50mm x 50mm) uprights w/1" holes.
Oh cool the dual pins works! Definitely an interesting option though I wonder what the max cable capacity is. Now we just need it to be combined with an all-in-one with smith where the cable system has a switchable 2:1 and 1:1 ratio by having two pulleys on each upright so you can combine them together when you want 1:1. Do that with a standard 2” x 2” design like the RitFit M1 2.0 and make it more affordable like $1,500 max and I think it’d be a huge hit!
No way i would trust 14 gauge. 11 is overkill, but 14 on a rack? No chance. Check out No Fate's recent drop test with a smith safety on a 14 gauge rack. Bells uses 12 on their light commercial and cable tower. 12 is the sweet spot.
yeah, well I think it all depends because I did drop 135 with this one. I have a video doing it after I filmed this since that snode came out and it held up fine. Major Fitness has been doing a good job of posting them doing drop test on their newest Amazon budget Smith machine, I think 14 gauge steel is perfect for A LOt of people because they’re not lifting super heavy and I also think you should know that the Smith machine only holds 300 pounds so that be an instance to be aware it’s not right for pretty much all serious lifters unless you’re really starting out of the beginning. But I have used the front of the upright for 225 and racked it numerous times and is not bent or showed any signs of wear/tear, but the consumer can do what you feel like is best for you but I will always review 14 gauge steel because there is a market for it. But I’ll always review 11 gauge steel or 12 gauge steel because that’s probably the market for guys like us who have been lifting seriously for years.
also, snode was trying to money grab. Major fitness has done this for a few years and takes feedback from me too and has shown they are trying to grow and test their equipment as of late and stay in their lane of budget pieces and there’s many people online expressing for over a year it’s been doing them justice. Again, the consumer can make that choice and I will always say don’t buy if you are a veteran lifter or have the expendable income for all in ones like rep, vesta, maxum, bells etc
@@Mrwatson185 I mean, let’s be real, I have used it for over a year and a half. Yes, I ACTUALLY use it. And still works the same. If I wasn’t making reviews, since I have been lifting for almost 20 years, no, it’s not my primary rack. But, it’s important to know these options for people who are starting out and trying to get consistent and aren’t like us who want to spend 10k on 11 gauge steel racks and machines. Which by the way, most people don’t have that kind of money. I make all types of content for all types of fitness levels.
@@Mrwatson185 and one final point, I wouldn’t review a brand for so long if I didn’t think there’s value to consumers out there.I even said this equipment is too high. Stay in your lane with Ritift.
