Wow! My Gym is the one at 2:29 with all the lights. I’m honored that my gym was featured. Yes I can work out just fine with all the RGB lights, they’re great for passing the time waiting between sets😁
"What I want is what I've not got. What I need is all around me" -Jimi Thing DMB...that is what DIY shows you with some creativity... Nice to hear Coop is also a fan
Team Basement, as long as the ceilings are high and the radon is low. I like the easy temperature control and stability, not to mention not having to give up a garage.
Yes,sir! My basement is just shy of 3,000 square feet. I’ve dedicated roughly 700 square feet of it to my gym space. My gym has a fireplace in it with a full bar and a wine cellar attached to it. Plus, I have my three car garage open for car things. Basement gyms are the best.
Dude, this was super dope, I love when you show love to other home gyms. Can you do another one on just home gyms in general? Maybe like another 20-30?
Once I get moved to North Idaho from my current 20’X15’ bedroom gym, I’ll send you pictures of my home gym, 1,100 square feet of a purpose built pole barn. My rack with high and low pulleys and 350 lb stack, one of my benches, and dumbbell rack were all home built. My North Idaho home gym is 18’ tall and will include a climbing wall, climbing rope, and ceiling suspended Olympic Rings. It has taken me years to build up, but will do everything my family will need to stay fit on a budget.
That’s me in the 1st video. So, Coop I really appreciate you for featuring some of my gym hacks. I also want to give credit to some of the folks who inspired these innovations. Check out PJ from D.I.Y. Fitness Club on UA-cam who inspired the Jammer Arms and Hack Squat setup. His channel specializes in creative D.I.Y fitness equipment. ua-cam.com/video/sJxa_J6qYeo/v-deo.html Everyone really seemed to enjoy the Pool Noodle punching bag, so you can check out Reedy Kewlus to build your own. He also has a ton of other boxing D.I.Y. builds: ua-cam.com/video/V29us98-FUM/v-deo.html.
It is really cool to see you highlighting the DIY innovation in our community. I feel like you missed a few really cool accounts. Hit me up next time around and I'll point you in the right direction.
I'm a big fan of yours, Kyle and I completely agree that the DIY community has a slew of great innovators that could have been featured here. Hopefully Coop keeps it going and we see some of your fabulous builds and some of my other favorites.
I workout in the best of both locations. My gym is in my daylight basement. Warm enough in the winter and it runs cooler down there in the summer... perfect balance!
Please do more videos like this. I love people thinking out the box to solve “lack of” gym equipment! I would also like to see you do a comparison of DIY against known fitness equipment so people can see you can get the same workout even when it a DIY piece of equipment.
You should make a video series out of people sending your their homegyms! Ive seen it with gaming rooms and those kind of videos are very popular and loved by the community in general
On that first vid. You can use the bells of steel jammer arms on the cheaper racks like the 810xlt. You just need spacers and a clamp. But it works pretty well.
Great garage gym DIY: 3/4” pipe components and the 1” standard hole plates and you can make an adjustable kettlebell or farmers handles. The kettle can’t be cleaned or snatched but mine handles 125 lbs easily.
I’m team garage gym, but wish my house could accommodate team basement. Garage gets that killer afternoon sun shootin right inside. All the fans in the world won’t help. Maybe do an episode on garage gym hvac??
1:55 still costs money. That's like $25 worth of pool noodles at the $1.25 store, pallet wrap, a semi rigid bar in center (?) $45/45lb plate, $20 worth of plywood.
Actually, the noodles only costed about $5 for a box of 20. The wrap cost about $8; the PVC was free left over scraps and the plumbing hardware was maybe $13. The 45# weight could be substituted with water container(s) or bags of sand which are inexpensive. Here is the inspiration video showing how to build it. ua-cam.com/video/V29us98-FUM/v-deo.html
Basement Brandon has done a few reviews on their stuff. I have their bumpers and they are great, my buddy picked up a whole gym worth of stuff: power bar, kettle bells, bumpers, adjustable bench. Their b bench sucks, the kettlebells are good, and his power bar is great, they just have had issues with consistency from batch to batch as Brandon points out in his reviews.
Please do a review/comparison on manual incline treadmills. Looks like they're some of the most affordable cardio equipment you can get. The nicer ones look like they can even be used in place of a sled. They're so much more realistic for most people's home gym than spending 1000s each on a curved manual treadmill and a weighted sled. The reviews on these are nonexistent so it's hard to tell what's junk and what's a good buy.
I know it's blasphemy, we have a car parked in our garage. We only have 1 spot outside to fit a car. Full squat rack in the basement with bar, plates and some dumbbells is all I need, but maybe a plate loadable pully system is in the future. It's nice and conditioned down there, but I would love a ceiling that is maybe a couple feet higher.
i'm DYING at Basement Brandon appearing from hell lol
Wow! My Gym is the one at 2:29 with all the lights. I’m honored that my gym was featured. Yes I can work out just fine with all the RGB lights, they’re great for passing the time waiting between sets😁
Tommy you're a weird one!. :)
💯🔥
We may be technically closer to hell in the basement but lemme know how hot that garage gets in the summer!
Already in the 90s
Basement gyms are far superior
Tell ‘em Brandon
You got me there 🥵
oooOOOOOooo...shots fired....FROM THE ABYSS
That’s hard to pick a favorite. Do another one of these! Love seeing all the cool things people come up with
"What I want is what I've not got. What I need is all around me" -Jimi Thing DMB...that is what DIY shows you with some creativity... Nice to hear Coop is also a fan
Please do videos more frequently in general... I always look forward to this channel's content.
Couldnt agree more haha
This would be a great monthly series

@@hitleractually8180 3000sqft? You have a subterranean cave system under your house? I’m jealous.
Lol I used a purse filled with books to curl when I was in elementary school. Did thousands and thousands of reps, loved it.
You should do a video on ultra space efficient gyms too.
I’d love to see this
Ready to submit a vid

Coop, this was a lot of fun watching. I hope you do more if this soon.
There's a lot of creative folks out there... thanks for sharing them with us, Coop! 👍🏼
Happy 4th of July!🇺🇲🎆🧨🍖
Would have been a lot cooler of him if he had let us see which YT channels posted those creative videos.
There were several but I’ll pick two, the DYI heavy bag and Farmer James outdoor wooden gym.
"Looks like someone left their gym on demo mode" Has me dying 🤣🤣🤣
Coop done destroyed his neck shaving hahah.
Love these types of videos Coop keep bringing em
I’ve been wanting a punching bag and gloves for a long time but I lost my job and have been struggling with a new one. That’s genius
On that first vid. You can use the bells of steel jammer arms on the cheaper racks like the 810xlt. You just need spacers and a clamp. But it works pretty well.
I made a diy belt squat for my Levergym using the cable system. To this day, It's one of my most used home gym pieces!
I made that 100lb diy med ball based off your video on it. I have been using it a couple of times a week for about a year, it works great!
This is the stuff I like to hearrrrrr!
Team basement because it's colder. Don't have to blast out the house to counter the heat of working out

When you need energy, party lights and bangers
That was super cool! Farmer guy was killing it.
This should be a monthly thing. This was awesome!
3:18 hahahaha nice cameo! #teamNotEnoughSpaceRightNowButHopefullySomeday
In high school, a friend and I built a Nautilus pullover out of wood. Used roller skate wheels for bearings.
Assambly bringing the 🔥 with the "demo mode".
Dave Matthews band, white lights… missionary.
Team BASEMENT!!!
Inspiring ! Great content TX ..Still got some work to fill my 4m2 gym garage ..just for fun
Farmer John for the Win!!!
Wait, I heard my name... but I didn't submit a video. Ha! Thanks Coop!
Love the home gym tours.
Gettign a lot of inspiration seeing these DIY's. I'm making plans for a DIY wooden leg press, so any tips are welcome!
Best video you have made in a long time
LOL at the ding on Basement Brandon with the below grade gym.
Team basement! It gets cold in the winter and hot in the summer in Ohio. Plan to build an outdoor calisthenics gym for outdoor gains though.
Of frickin course he has Dave Matthews band playing.
In the Brutal North there are only Basement Gyms!
Muay Thai guy for the WIN, total battle boss!
Could you do a video series where you go visit these peoples gyms?
COOP! Is the man!
3:00 Cooper looks like the type of person who lifts listening to Dave Matthews Band…
I have my strongman gym in a garage and my powerlifting/calisthenics gym in the basement
I'm not going to lie, that pool noodle punching bag is really freaking creative and pretty cool!
Agreed. Looked fun too!
Would be great to have a video on leveling a lifting platform in the garage
RIP Coop's neck.
I’m team garage gym, but wish my house could accommodate team basement. Garage gets that killer afternoon sun shootin right inside. All the fans in the world won’t help.
Maybe do an episode on garage gym hvac??
Ross Enamaint has a lot of good DIY gym equipment
Looks like Coop used a DIY razor.
🤣💀
Monkey pox aint no joke.
Was that Brandon Campbell on 3:18? lol
🤫🤫🤫
Oh mah gawd. Please make the clips full screen so we can see what you're talking about!

I'm making a tweel spacer plate to absorb deadlift noise.
What a nice guy
Camera and lighting on this video is a huge improvement from past videos, any changes or equipment you use specifically?
The pool noodle guy has some hands
What kinda connected fitness heaven are you sitting in while filming?
7:09 the castors will be spec’d to support a really big human so I’d guess it could take 140kg without any issue.
Hey Coop, what is this box? I love the tapered edges!! @GarageGymReviews
Farmer, Jason Voorhees guy, and kaizen diy (great diy products). Curls in the rack would be one I didn't see though.
Can you do lifting belts?
Team Garage Gym
My boy Coop's hairline goes further back than his bicep veins
I started with my moms old lugguge bag filled with bricks used it for a couple years before got good n strong off that
came to see if lebarn made the list and this did not disappoint
Who's with me and Brandon in Team Below Ground?
All joking aside, that lit up gym really would give me a seizure lol.
Thx for the video
The hockey mask was Jason from Friday the 13th
This was good
Can you review ISF fitness equipment. They are priced amazing but wonder if it’s a too good to be true type thing.

Their b bench sucks, the kettlebells are good, and his power bar is great, they just have had issues with consistency from batch to batch as Brandon points out in his reviews.
Curls in the rack didn’t make the list?
Didn’t want to piss off potential affiliates. Since CitR gets flak from the owners of the products he emulates.
We'll do this again and I'll have the team include his stuff. I've seen it and I'm definitely impressed. Great resource for the community. - Coop
hahha coopjack in the thumbmail
I loved this video, keep more stuff like this coming! Thanks!

i would like to see more lately
Can you review some aftershaves?
Sorry, had to do it.
team basement 😤😤😤
Is the G20 force USA review coming?
I know Coop trains hard, cause he listens to Dave Matthews Band
Team basement baby!
Alright alright I'll allow it.
@@GarageGymReviews Though my pull-up bar and rings are in my garage. A little bit of a hybrid.
I got to have AC/DC. And I'm team 3 season porch gym.
What camara are you using?
Damn, did I miss the one in the tumbnail or is it just not in the clip?
TEAM BASEMENT!
NOOOOO! The humanity!!!!
Im team below ground because Canadian winters too damn cold to train in and i need it to park my car
Is it OK to put rack on plywood platform
basement ftw
I know it's blasphemy, we have a car parked in our garage. We only have 1 spot outside to fit a car. Full squat rack in the basement with bar, plates and some dumbbells is all I need, but maybe a plate loadable pully system is in the future. It's nice and conditioned down there, but I would love a ceiling that is maybe a couple feet higher.
13:12 someone’s a Colby Covington fan
It's a quote from an '80s TV show. Also used by Chael Sonnen long before Covington.
Looks like you're wearing a brand new shirt without an initial wash.
