The caller to 911 is a star! She did everything right. I cannot say the same for the operator. Had she listened to the caller, who was direct with all the pertinent information needed, the caller wouldn’t have had to repeat herself over and over. The caller kept the scene manageable, calming the witness whilst relaying all she could. Brilliant. Someone should offer this woman a job dealing with such emergencies. Cool headed and precise. I’m so impressed with her. Operator.... please go back and receive more training in order to deal with these high tension situations.

I sense that Brianna's parents were loving and feel for them in their loss. I was just wondering why she wasn't living at home since she was still in high school, but rather with a boyfriend. This is a tragic story. She was very beautiful and everyone said very sweet.

@@carolynwelschOnce a teenager approaches or turns 18 they tend to think since " they are an adult" that means they shouldn't have to follow the rules anymore even though they are living under their parents roof, curfew being a big one especially if dating someone older who doesn't have one. I am only speaking from my own experiences with my own daughter who moved in with her bf the day she turned 18 to "play house", she realized a short time later it wasn't very fun. My thoughts and prayers are with the parents of Brianna , it is the biggest fear in a parents life😔

Detectives tend to assume everyone is a suspect for answers, and they tend to be more accusatory than they are sympathetic. However, it would be reasonable to assume they could discern the overall disposition of an individual and use empathy towards someone who has just experienced such a traumatic event.

I wish people would just THINK about why dispatchers would re-ask critical questions. On a 911 call, confirming answers by asking the question again is critical for both officer safety and for clarification/confirmation if it’s needed for review. Also, it prevents dead air when they’re actively typing information into the dispatch system.

This must be the first time that I know of, where someone who reports a murder goes crazy, screaming and crying all the time, and it was not him/her who committed the murder. When he said the time the police had of 9:30 was wrong and that it could not have happened while he was at home, I really thought he was trying to cover for himself. I could not have been more wrong. I really thought it was he who did it, only to hear it was a colleague at work. What I would give for a brother like that. I apologise to Hugo. He was really sincere and loved his brother and his girlfriend very much. He had really great respect for them. Really uncommon. On the other hand, this guy with a fetish didn't go to kill her. She was actually at the wrong place at the wrong time, albeit in her own home. Peace to her.

This is truly heartbreaking….and I feel any company, restaurant, warehouse, etc that hires and employs immigrants who aren’t legal and do this kind of stuff…..the companies should be held liable also. I’m not sure if it’s legal or whatever, but companies need to learn to not hire ANYONE who isn’t here legally.

This is certainly a tragedy. But for every guy like Raul there are a million immigrants of ALL legal statuses who are honest and hard working. Deporting all immigrants who have not finished the process of regularizing their status would (or will?) cause the collapse of the US economy.
Add to that the FACT that 40+% of the immigrants here flew here with visas and have overstayed their visas.

Imagine the majority of it is him in crying in pain, anguish and when he does speak its resaying what Hugo saying but its really just him breaking down so no need to show as it contributed nothing to the investigation. Or the cops wouldn't release his side of interrogation or left it out at the request of the victims.

Oh, right, ask them to not them talk in Spanish, or else the cameras and microphones you guys have in every room there could pick up that and record that conversation that could be used as evidence. Wouldn't want them to think they could speak privately in front of you and possibly feel like they could get away with it. Where it would be completely lost information, because of course no one there knows that crazy language, Spanish.
