As far as post processing your work, well if you want to get the finest image you can after the shutter clicks, you absolutely must do some post work.
If you ordered a meal at a restaurant, would you like the meal better if the chef tweaked your food to the highest pro chef level? Yes of course.
    ***Why are CCD cameras better?
CCD sensors create high-quality, low-noise images. CMOS sensors are usually more susceptible to noise. Because each photosite on a CMOS sensor has several transistors located next to it, the light sensitivity of a CMOS chip tends to be lower, as many of the photons hit the transistors instead of the photosite

    Must Read
"Photographic art overlaps with the landscape, portraiture, and other photography types. It is defined by the artist's vision and approach to get distinct photographs. Unlike other forms of photography, fine art photography is about capturing what the artist sees instead of what the camera sees. It is just another tool for artists to produce their art."
(Quote from N.F. I. The Nashville Film Institute)
**The CCD was invented in 1969 at Bell Labs by Willard Boyle and George Smith. Since that CCD FILM LIKE SENSOR was sensitive to light it was used as image sensor for video and TV cameras. It could also be used as a memory device or analogue signal delay since it's principally a kind of analogue shift-register circuit.

The R3 that you showed is derived from the Minolta XE7 I believe. It was from a cooperative agreement between Leitz and Minolta. Both SLRs had a Leitz Copal shutter. Where I once worked we had a Minolta XE7. I thought that it was a solid machine. When E. Leitz introduced the R3, it was a siren call for me. The Leitz
optics were the icing on the cake. The R3 had a different mirror box and metering. All the external controls were laid out the same. Another excellent class!

I worked for a Leica dealer in 1978, we stocked R lenses, I shot that one on many occasions. I liked the Kodachromes I got from it using the R-3 mot.

I've just bought this lens, new old stock £250 mint box case paper work. Another £10 for a leica achromat elpro close up lens, not a filter. Use it on my m240 with a £14 adapter. I am in hogs heaven!
