    What adapter do you use "daily" driver? I have a EV9 and want to ensure i get something that works great with it.

      This one works well with no issues and has never had issues with the E-GMP platform like others have had - amzn.to/3MOp76F - I have heard the EV9 still has some compatibility issues so I'd get that one.

    Can the Tesla handle be removed while charging and vehicle is locked? Ie can someone else unplug it at a destination charger?

      There is a hole on the bottom where you could put a lock on it. And in many vehicles (like the EV6) you can lock the j1772 connector the vehicle.

      Thanks, I might just go with one with a built in key lock like the A2Z

    Hey I have ev6 and charge with a adapter everday the easiest way to begin charging that works 100% of the time is to simple plug it in then after 3 second unplug and wait 3 seconds replug in and it charges just fine! Hope I can help someone!

      Oh yeah? Good to know another workaround for people that haven't had the ELE283 TSB.

      @@TechnicallyJeff is the update something the dealer can do for free?

      Yes, it's technically a "fix" for the charging stopping issue. It just also fixes the adapter compatibility.

    Thanks Jeff, as always. Not asking, just wondering.....I think this is the third of these newer adapters that you have reviewed. Do you anticipate getting to a point where you'll recommend one over the other(s)? I'd imagine that if one was perceptibly worse than the others you have reviewed, you'd say so. Happy Thanksgiving.

      Hey - yeah eventually I plan on doing a video with a bunch of them together and choosing one. That said, honestly I haven't had one that I don't really recommend. The Tesla Tap Mini is great for quality but a lot more expensive. The others all have their own things about them, but seem to work fine. I really like the Nivion's feel though.

    Hey Jeff, does this adapter meet any standards? Ie. Is it UL listed?

    • @TechnicallyJeff
      @TechnicallyJeff  Рік тому

      No, unfortunately there isn't UL certification for adapters.
