DISCLAIMER: Core Moto rear wheel, weighs 5.05lbs less than stock wheel. Core Moto front wheel, weighs 1.75lbs less than stock wheel. The reason my front wheel weighs the same and my rear wheel weighs only 2.43lbs less, is because the weight comparison was not performed with equal components. Heavier front brake rotors, heavier brand new tires compared to worn out tires, lighter sprocket was installed on stock wheel instead of stock sprocket. The weight comparison was to determine the current weight difference of my current setup, not the Core Moto wheel weight.

But for the street I don’t think it will matter much. I guess I’ll find out on the ride review.

I dont do track stuff to be honest, I find its the same as riding on the road except you constantly have like 10 cops watching you all the time so you cant really have fun. I like to have my fun on the road because there is nobody watching me unless Im VERY unlucky and Im willing to take that risk 😂 The track as probably more rules like you cant do this and that and you must do it this way and at that speed... naaaaa not for me. I ride my own ride if you see what I mean :)
@@ImNoTourist I feel that you may have ridden in a very restrictive track. I have heard crazy stories about certain tracks and based on that it would have been a no for me too. But the tracks in my area are not restrictive at all. If anything, when I first did my first track I lost interest in riding the street completely. You can push limits on track that you can’t push on the street. If you push those track limits, then street feels meaningless. Plus one mistake on the street and its gave over. A mistake on the track could be a mistake you can afford to make. But track is expensive and very time consuming. So not an easy task. But I’ll see how these wheels feel on the street ✌️

Price is a bit higher but considering that you get an upgraded sprocket carrier with Core Moto the price evens out. An upgraded Aprilia sprocket carrier alone is around $300. Bike looks 🔥 now brother. Those little subtle details like gold accents etc are really what defines our own taste and look of a bike. Be interesting to see if they make a difference but 2kg rotational at the back and overall 2kg saving is quite a bit.

Those front after market rotors are most likely thicker then the stock ones which give better braking but a tad bit heavier .. for say stock 5mm and these 5.5 or 5.5 to 6mm and to why don't see a weight difference ... do that same way of centering forks and pads on front wheel instal 😎 Just wondering to why you want to make gearing longer with -1 on the rear sprocket , you need more top speed possibly
@@farschadabolfathi Thicker rotors plus some extra grams from the new rubber, added some weight. I actually did not make the gearing longer from stock gearing. Stock gearing is 41T and I was at 43T. I lowered one at 42T to try it out as 43T had a bit too much front lift. I loved the agility of the shorter wheelbase the 43T gave, but I’m hoping the forged wheels will compensate for the bit longer 42T wheelbase. I’ll try it out and give a feedback on the ride review. ✌️
Ok just watched your previous video and see you wanting to lengthen the wheel base to have a bit more slack in the chain for the lightech chain adjusters ..
@@farschadabolfathi I didn’t really make it longer for the chain adjusters. If you watch the 520 Chain & Sprocket ride review, I mention that the 43T felt amazing on turns due to shorter wheelbase but it was a bit too much on the straights. So I’m curious to ride it now and see.

Your Back wheel could be an extra 400 grams lighter because those were used tires => less rubber ! they were not completly wasted but i know you can get easilly 600 grams of rubber of your wheels when they are ready to be changed => i put my own wheels on the scale a few years ago because i was curious 😁😁😁

@@plus_killer97 These are two different bikes. It depends on what you need. One is a naked bike, and one is a full fairing bike. The MT09 has more power, but the RS660 is more planted. One is Japanese and one is Italian. Dealer access is also important when selecting a bike. There are so many variables that I can’t give a simple answer on which I recommend.
@@tradingviewauthorizedpartner I don’t have the patience to add protection while screwing nuts and bolts. If they get scratched and I don’t like it, I’ll just replace them. Plus they are titanium anodized. They hold pretty good on scratches. ✌️

My rear core moto wheel doesn't fit. The rotor carrier is off by 3mm causing the rotor to hit the caliper on the inside. Core moto was supposed to send me some washers to put behind the carrier but they never did. 😢
@@GenghisKhan311 That is very odd. 3mm is a lot to compensate with washers. I’m surprised this happened as I know they pass QC before sending wheels out. The rear brake rotor carrier is removable. I would just request a new rotor carrier.

Maybe a front brake master cylinder, maybe race control switches, etc. I even want to install some titanium bolts to replace the stock ones. I just sit in front of my bike and look at it, while I whisper to myself “what else could I install” lol ✌️😂

Decrease the weight of 1kg on the body is not much difference but on the wheels makes alot difference and performance
