Just as good as any other big brand dirt bike no complaints. I use an alloy sump guard as I've seen too many orange bikes with flat frame rails. So far no dents.
I don't have a problem with these kinds of bikes as long as they are cloning older generations that are no longer sold. If you want a 2017 300 XC with a Carb, and don't want to buy used, this gives you an option and if it's a close enough clone you can get OEM KTM parts or aftermarket parts. Concern with anything made out of Chinese metals is you have no idea if the metal was created to spec and could have a catastrophic failure. That said I've seen plenty of pics of real KTM's with broken frames as well. That and the fact that KTM is starting to produce more bikes in china doesn't leave me with much symphony for them. When you partner with Chinese manufactures they are going to steal your IP.
@@23lnp nothing wrong with the bike as stock. The engine has a lot of low down torque for any type of hard enduro or trail riding. Adjust the bike like any other to suit your needs be it protection parts or heavier springs in suspension.
All this needs is a STIC Super X carb. But only if you want power approaching 450 levels. I've got one on an old 200SX and it pulls new 250F's and a '98 KX250! I'm mixing it up with 450F's. The latter is a new level at the track for me. To keep it in control, I run the slowest turn G2 throttle cam. On the tight trails it has unstoppable grunt and lofts the wheel in an instant.
Hi Robbo, nice info. I have the same bike 250 2t and the 300 on order. my question , which artafon model will suiy yje 300? is it the 2022-2020 KTM HUSQVARNA 250/300 EXC TE 2T TPI DIFFUSER GUARD £86.25 excl. VAT source rutherford racing. thanks
Hi bud , I have the Artafon diffuser Guard for oem KTM bend 20-22 but not fitted as yet. It will fit but needs some modification. Firstly the front of the guard interferes with the tyre on full fork compression. Secondly I need to make a fixing plate to bolt the lower to the sump/skid plate. The GPX has a centre mounting point unlike KTM which has rivnuts in the frame rails. Lastly the frame above the exhaust is a little different than KTM so the holes for the mounting brackets had to be made bigger to allow movement for positioning. It will work but I’ve not found the time to fully sort it as yet. Just waiting for an oxy torch so I can heat up the front and push that area back half an inch or so. Other wise the bike is great how I’ve got it set up. 7hrs running time I’m really happy with it in all areas.
Hey Robbo...Thanks for saying what I have been preaching...that tons of stuff is made in China and these GPX & Certain Kayos, Kove,& SSR Dirt bikes are not like the crap they used to send over. Completely incorrect. You really should try a bit harder to ensure what you say is correct before you say it. GPX USA and UK have all parts for this bike. Pull the reeds out and examine them. Do they seal tight ? Run the bike at Erzburg to give it the real durability test.
