Lubed with 205g0 and filmed with deskeys these are my new favorite switch. They trade blows with black inks for deep pitch and are much less expensive, not to mention smooth.
I am making my first custom keyboard and decided to use these. It is 60% and they came in a cute little packaging that had a hippo on it thanks for this guide and leading me to these switches. Also you already know I used the affiliate link to get krypton and the hippos
everything about this switch is really testing me and my love for KS-3 Yellows... It's like an upgraded version of my favorite switch. Guess it just depends how often they're in stock lol
Same thoughts with the springs, this needs to be lighter, overall I love how the tocs it makes and the new material kinda got me curious. Gonna love that price is kinda affordable (hopefully this doesn't get jacked up when it comes to my poor ol 3rd world country).
I like the sound, feels deeper like pebbles tapping rather than metallic. Not sure how much of this is the keycaps because they always sound pretty good but I'm gonna give these a go! Might grab those keycaps too at some point, they do look really nice with the more rounded tops.
I just got these switches for my first custom keyboard build and they sound so good compared to my previous Razer Blackwidow v3. I lubes them and applied three layers of the tape mod, I also used the same keycaps as in the video which look incredible on my 65% Keychron v2. Thank you so much Hipyo for introducing me to these.
I have both a board with yellows and one with the roses. I find myself coming to the roses a lot more. Both are great but just long the sound and real if the roses
I do prefer a switch with this sound profile, though I have to wonder what they would sound like if they had a thin film. When I get done fully playing with my robin eggs I may give these a shot. Thank you for another great video. BTW I am part of the 25 percent.
why did the ktt have like the best sound? no spring ping and was very smooth, i would say the tangie is the best but it costs double, thats pretty crazy
It would be nice if you talked about stem wobble. It’s a switch review after all, especially for gateron switches that are known to have stem wobble. Otherwise great video!
i really love your videos!!! I am currently rocking an anne pro2 with kailh box reds, but I was wondering what the easiest way to build a keyboard is; my sister just graduated and i wanna build something cute for her with MA keycaps, but i also dont want to spend over $200. I know your are a famous youtuber, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the fantastic videos dude!!!!!!!!
I still like lubed Cherry speed silver.. Been using for over 4 years now.. Bht this looks and sounds good too. But travel distance is too long for me,especially while playing warzone, apex legends..
Please Please PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE do a review of the akko CS silver!!! And please do a sound test of them stock and lubed because I really want to hear it on a regular case and not one that is really expensive because all of the other reviews of it are on really fancy cases.
Speaking of umhmwpe linear, you tried the aeboard raeds yet? I am very interested in them since they're the only linears that have the taller halo like stem that I've heard of.
i always wanted to change the sound of my rog claymore, but im just too scared i will mess up something because i never worked with keyboards before :D im absolutely newbie to this stuff so i guess it stays the same :D
I am building a keyboard for my brothers birthday and am getting a gk61 with cream switches and pbt keycaps, plus a lubing station and krytox 205g0. Is this good?
GK61 gets my award for best workhorse & switch testing keeb, and it really does have lots of modding potential - it's like the Honda Civic of keyboards in the best possible way. As for the Creams - they'll be good once that 205g0 is on them.

It has hippo in the name. It's already an end game switch.
should I get this instead of the aqua king?
The Hipyo switch.
Anyone that disliked this comment was probably expecting to be able to purchase a two ton semi-aquatic mammal and was sorely disappointed.

THEY ARE PURPLE! I really need to stop caring about what the switches look like considering they are never seen by anyone other than me.
If u dont have the housing of the keyboard then you could see the switch but other than that, it's pretty pointless

i love how you're using MOA keycaps, they dont get much popularity its nice to see someone like you using them
I absolutely love the sound of the Tangie, Matcha and KTT Rose switches🤤
Dude, excuse my language but your content is fucking fantastic. If you had a podcast, I’d be tuned in 24/7.

Hipyo is, and always will be, the only youtuber i ever actually help with ads
I used your creator's code to buy some stabs and switches! Thanks for the discount Hipyo!
The stems look like half mixed chocolate syrup with milk
You should make a playlist with just a bunch of soundtests.
You can just search the name of the switch and get the sound test
OMG THIS IS GONNA BE SO COOL HIPPO SWITCHES OML IM BUILDING MY FIRST CUSTOM IN 2 WEEKS I WANNA SEE THESE :OOO
It's always nice to see the old-fashioned diode spot in a modern switch.
Very clear and helpful! You gained a new viewer and subscriber.

These sound amazing lubed but i was suprised they also sounded not bad not lubed nice keeb build Hipyo!!!!
Welcome back Wooden Hippo we missed you
I love your videos, thank you for getting me into mechanical keyboards, keep doing the do hipyo!!!
The sound test turned me on to KTT rose though.
I have a custom with them. They are actually super good IMO
I believe they can contend with gat yellows be the next best budget switch
ktt so lit
I have both a board with yellows and one with the roses. I find myself coming to the roses a lot more. Both are great but just long the sound and real if the roses
I recommend ktt strawberries too. Feel great.
Why is your editing so good?
12am premiere. Sigh, just for u Hipyo, just for u
UHMWPE is a great material for making level IIIA ballistic plates. Theyre very smooth and have very tight molecular structure.
These sound good lubed and unlubed so might actually get them for a future build, and btw what are good keycaps for cheap my budget is like 60 euros
my personal favorite linears have been blue velvets, Alpaca linears especially and tealios... but I don't hate the sound of the hippos
I feel like this channel is finally starting to pick up some traction. another great video Mr Hippo!
Definitely going to be considering these for my second custom build whenever that is because I’ve always wanted tangies but they’re always sold out
cant wait for my hipyo keycaps and hippo desk mat from kinetic labs :D
High quality vids, man. Sub time.
Nice, I love those keycaps, for the sound is very smoth not as tangi or matcha but is quite nice and pleasent
if they could please make a 50 gram spring, UHMWPE stem, version of tangerines and call them Creamsicles that would be great...
I do prefer a switch with this sound profile, though I have to wonder what they would sound like if they had a thin film. When I get done fully playing with my robin eggs I may give these a shot. Thank you for another great video. BTW I am part of the 25 percent.
Ima do the Hipyo Poki because these switches is what it’s all about
Nice video I just have a question did you lube the spring ?
im gonna be at school when this premiers 😭
why did the ktt have like the best sound? no spring ping and was very smooth, i would say the tangie is the best but it costs double, thats pretty crazy

Did anyone notice that when he pressed each switch it was in the rhythm of twinkle twinkle little star. 😁 just wanted to point that out.
I like how Kinetic Labs made these and they weren't made by Hipyo, but then they make PBT Hippo, and Hipyo made those.
Yo I might actually pick these up! They sound great
Again I click for cute thumbnail

Same here I don't lube the hole or top houseing. Also depending on the switch and if it's 205go or not I don't even lube the stem specially for jwks.
