Wow! As ever. What incredible musicians, bringing joy and humour. Makes me smile to watch and listen. Seen them live twice and I’ll be booking more gigs. And every friend I’ve taken with me now loves them too.
In addition to being able to bring out the dark side of even a cheerful song with her singing, Kitty Lux could bring wit and a dignified humour to something like this critique of popular culture. Following the kidney transplant and related complications which she had just before this recording, I asked her why she wore a hair ribbon. “To keep my head together”, she responded. And indeed, she kept it together for years, right up until the end. Well done you, gigging until the last.
You are THE Ukulele Orchestra. I love you so much. I miss Kitty, she was so cool and funny. I hope to see you soon in Germany. I love you all, but my Hero is Heathcliff. Thanx for your music, I pre-ordered the new album, yeah. Greetings from Germany
Finally came around buying my ticket for your concert in Berlin today. Nearly half a year of looking forward to seeing you all again. Absolutely loved your performanced last year. I had high expectations, but I didn't expect it to be this awesome.
This is where you guys shine the most! Everyone sings a different song but the melody just blends beautifully! Fricking genius! Thanks for reposting this and reminding everyone just how great a talent you are!
It's uplifting to listen to this. I've just realised I have a huge smile on my face and i'm swaying from side to side. I couldn't care less what's going wrong with the world right now. I'm having 5 minutes of UOGB therapy.
This is the most amazing musical compilation I have ever experienced in my 75 years! Kudos to you folks. What a musical blessing i just happened upon!!
Sorry to hear of Kitty's passing, I kept waiting to see a home concert or what ukulele's she had collected over the months during Covid. I will always think of her when I see Polk a dots..
My wife and I went to see the Ukele Orchestra of Great Britain in Poole a year or so ago. What a great night! They have tea towels on the merch stand! Stand out! 😊
Wow! Immer und immer wieder! Ich schau diesen Clip bestimmt schon zum 30 Mal über einen großen Zeitraum hinweg und bin jedes Mal wieder begeistert! Toll gemacht, Leute! (Y)
You know, it's so easy for a band like UKOGB, to be written off as musical fluff... But they are so good at what they do, they transcend the 'gimmick', and achieve real art. There are those who argue it isn't meant to be taken seriously, but the fact it can is what makes it so special.
The UOGB did another wonderful Melange, "Harmony", based on Handel's "Ode to St. Cecelia's Day". I recommend it highly, as I do this work. Thank you so much for posting this performance.
You guys are amazing : voices, melody, humour. I've been listening to your songs for nearly 10 years, and you always bring be joy. I wish I could attend one of your performances one day (a fan from North Africa)
Chickened out of seeing you in Berlin due to Covid. Hope to get another chance soon. Love is the only word strong enough to describe my admiration for your music. And tears of joy are a common occurance while listening to your music. If you don`t come to Berlin soon, I have to come and find you in the UK. ;-)
This is just amazing - I play it all the time - really inspirational, emotive and funny too - the section at the start when Kitty cuts in closely followed by Will and Peter - gets me every time ....
I cannot express enough my excitement for this performance. It's fantastic, awesome, wonderful, lovely, etc. etc. etc. thank you so much. I saw you guys in Ludwigshafen/Germany on February 23, 2020. It was a great pleasure to enjoy you. I hope we`ll see you again very soon in Germany.
Well done Ukulele Orchestra. You deserve all of the credits showered on your group. I wish you continuing good health, joy and fun sharing your talent 💖💖💖

Wow! As ever. What incredible musicians, bringing joy and humour. Makes me smile to watch and listen. Seen them live twice and I’ll be booking more gigs. And every friend I’ve taken with me now loves them too.
The musicianship here is astounding - this is so difficult to do
What else is there to say about this absolutely magnificent group of people? Uniquely British and universally enjoyed and admired for their talents.

To call this ‘melange’ may be accurate, but it massively undersells how clever and wonderful the performance is.
Brilliant performance ♥️🎶
