I've started singing this acapello in the bath and on the streets of Llandudno, with admittedly mixed responses from the public. But at least I'm giving it a go. This band is really fun and inspiring!
I think what we all appreciated here was another human baring his soul 'on stage' to perform for us. As incredible as it was intense, this was a humbling and amazing expression of art in the form of voice and music.
Awesome, just saw them last night in Chico Ca,. Sorry the concert had to end, could not get enough of their music. HIghly recommend this cool show to everyone.
Oh my actual God. I was listening to this on Talking Heads 'Stop Making Sense' when I was a miserable 16 year old. Now I'm a miserable 37 year old. That was bloody brilliant!
Nothing wrong with being miserable, it's quite comforting at times to know that you're never going to be dissapointed technically miserable people are life's greatest optomists
I think this is one of my all time favourite Ukes' tracks - gutted that with Will, singing lead here, and two of the others (Dave and Richie) retiring and the passing of Kitty some years back, we're unlikely to hear this performed by them again. Still, the Ukes evolve and continue to produce excellent new versions of songs. Long may that continue!
Probably not better than the original (big Talking Heads fan here) but an excellent version, they have very good voices and the lead was brilliant, great entertainment , a mixture of excellent playing ability, good voice and humour, just love it.
what an amazingly cool version of this song, yes like others have said here, glad to have come across it. A fan of the original song many years ago.......
Ce que j'ai fait, ce soir-là - What I did that night Ce qu'elle a dit, ce soir-là - What she said that night Réalisant mon espoir - Realising my hope (Though the meaning is closer to "realising my dreams" in English) Je me lance vers la gloire - I throw myself towards glory
@bobdenilsen Re: their names -- from left to right: David Suich, Peter Brooke Turner, Hester Goodman, George Hinchcliffe, Richie Williams, Kitty Lux, Will Grove-White, Jonty Bankes :)
If it's any consolation, you discovered this two months before I did! Found this group by accident yesterday. Check out Shaft, Pinball Wizard and Highway To Hell if you haven't already.

What year was the performance please? Ta.
@@WSFM 2009 I think!
Grandios, we see us at Summer in Germany😊🤓👍
Thanks for uploading this, who is the lead singer? Lead vocalist?
That was on another level. I have never listened to this version .
I enjoy all your music .just never heard this .
That was do enjoyable.
When performing Psycho Killer with ukuleles you have to commit 100%. They did a smashing job.
That's the secret to their success. They tackle songs head on without trying to be cute. And they're good enough to do it.
I've started singing this acapello in the bath and on the streets of Llandudno, with admittedly mixed responses from the public. But at least I'm giving it a go. This band is really fun and inspiring!
Call me crazy, but this is the best version of 'Psycho Killer' in existence
Talking heads are one of the best to ever do it. I’ll say this is the best COVER version of it.
It’s fantastic, as good as the talking heads but I can’t bring myself to say better!!
It's really great, but TH's live recording from 1977 with Tina Weymouth's bass up front is the best.
Ok, you are crazy.
Crazy
Listening in 2024, brilliant.
The singing in this is awesome, the lead singer sings with so much personality, amazing
don't they just make you smile.....definitely a national treasure
Love the bass voice at "better run.." :D
Hell yeah, it's so great
Yeah!
That’s Peter Brooke Turner
I am no longer frightened, ukuleles will set us free.
Found this by accident - thought "why not give it try?" - glad I did, absolutely superb.
Me too. in lockdown discovering many treasures here on UA-cam
Check out their other videos too especially their version of The good, the bad and the ugly.
Me too
The guy who sings lead in this song has a great voice. I love this cover!
He makes a very convincing psycho...though I'm not sure that's a compliment.
he is like 3/4 of 'band' in this cover
@@Visnjik1986 In concert, each has their lead/solo. This was the opening number, introduced as an "American folksong" 😏😉
@@raygordonteacheschess5501 That was my first impression watching "Stop Making Sense" ! 😂
Better than original imo
Man they crushed this. Particularly the bass, vocals and harmony/duet they included there.
Takes A LOT of courage and self confidence to permorm like this. Speechless.
I like when people re-make things for good and this guys got it. What a talent is great love them.
I am a huge Talking Heads fan, and this is one of my favourites of their songs. This version is absolutely brilliant!!!
I think what we all appreciated here was another human baring his soul 'on stage' to perform for us. As incredible as it was intense, this was a humbling and amazing expression of art in the form of voice and music.
It was an incredible performance, in fact I was blown away by his expression. I never knew this song existed . You think so too buddy?
@@cinocage Yes, yes I think so too.
I found this after listening to their cover of "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly". What a great group with terrific musicians. And I love this song!
You have to see them performing live...What a great band...
Rest in Peace Kitty Lux
Brilliant in a slightly understated way!
Awesome, just saw them last night in Chico Ca,. Sorry the concert had to end, could not get enough of their music. HIghly recommend this cool show to everyone.
I saw this group in concert in Toronto Ontario many years ago. One of the best/funnest concerts I've ever been to.
i love the talking heads, but i think The Ukulele Orchestra nailed this one :D
This the the best version of this that has ever been made.
I'm listening from Australia in 2024, brilliant.
These people know how to select tunes. Awesome.
Truly 1 of the best covers of Psycho Killers by Talking Heads!
What a great band this is. I raise my hat for them.
Pure Audio Awesomeness.
The best thing about the UOGB is how much fun they're obviously having!

This is a real "earworm"! 👍😉
I'm listening this almost once a month. The performance combined to lyrics is so special.
I clicked on this thinking WTF could this be , glad I did love it .
Have a look at their cover of good bad and the ugly.
Incredible!!
with all my respect to the talking heads, this version is WAAAAY cooler than any other version.
Incredible vocal control/range/whatever it is that lets him sing like an 80s cartoon mexican and a 60s rock and roll star in the same song.
It's called talent!
French
An INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE! One of those very strange songs that I never appreciated until now! Thank you so much!
Oh my actual God. I was listening to this on Talking Heads 'Stop Making Sense' when I was a miserable 16 year old. Now I'm a miserable 37 year old. That was bloody brilliant!
Let's work on that misery
Michelle Grundy exactly the same!
This version is way more haunting.

This is the best version of this song.
To put it simply...its my loss till now....I don't even have words to express how awesome songs are !!!
