While I was examining the game to find out how to make Luna playable, I accidentally came across the fact that the developers set up very basic player code for Ravus from Episode Ignis. Turns out that he has walking/running, jumping among other movement code already properly setup and mapped to be playable. Unfortunately entering combat will sadly put the game into a infinite loop as he's unable to properly initialise his weapon. Who knows what this would have been used for in Episode Ignis but it's a real shame that Ravus once again got shafted as he's one of my favourite characters in the story. Additionally due to how it's set up I can also share save data so everyone can get a taste of what playable Ravus would have been like, enjoy! drive.google.com/file/d/1PEgnkqotHa__OGTA731ELg7uamh74ATm/view?usp=sharing (For Windows Edition)
@@Asgartinus put the entire folders as is into the /gameplay/ folder, if you didnt have saves there before make some and overwrite them. Not sure what the exact issue is
How did Ravus get shafted once again? I had a theory back in the Versus XIII days he was the main antagonist atleast for the first planned game, was that somewhat true?
Your channel is incredible but it also consistently makes me really sad. I'm not a "they didn't finish the game" guy, I think the game we got is great, but man, every hint of how much more it could've been is a bummer.
I really wanted to play as the Nox Fleuret sibilings, Ravus character was so insteresting and a good parallel to Noctis. Ravus saw his mother die and his country burn so he took the only help he could get to keep him and his sister safe, and when he found out that Luna had to die bc of Noctis he tried to use the ring of the Lucii to save her. I don't think the main game made him justice, he ends up dead in the cannon ending and in the Ignis DLC he bows to Noctis (It doesn't make sence to me tbh)
Bless your heart! Thank you so much for going through all of this and making it shown to the world. While it makes me sad personally, I can't imagine how frustrated the devs were to have all this stuff be constantly shafted. I can only hope many years down the line some of this will be reutilized in a remastered edition. But as of right now - I am so so so so glad you take the time to show the beauty and effort of this game - although it is broken in pieces. (Also thank you so much for the save data - I will be testing it out for myself as I too loved Ravus and was super sad about him being missing a lot from the main story line! Thanks!~)
I am grateful for all that you do, thank you for sharing! Perhaps Ravus was meant to be playable in the early stages of development like Ardyn was. A user on Twitter found files of the old script and an audio file that confirmed Ardyn was once going to join the party temporarily. I am curious if any of those files are left in the game and can be accessed like you shown here.
@@LuthusNoxFleuret Yeah :'( If I was a modder I would try and finish stuff like this if its possible. Like a huge mod that brings back and finishes everything
This is incredible, I discovered your channel a few days ago and I absolutely love everything you've found and done. Of course it's hard to not have a level of melancholy as to what it could have been when it comes to the content in this game, but I still love looking through things like this. Also, and this is entirely unrelated, what is the soundtrack that is playing during this video? I've thrown every music finder app on it and I just can't for the life of me find it for myself.
Damn... The second video I watch on your channel and I got a bit sad. FFXV was my real first FF game and I love it. I still play it today but man, I wish a remake version of it could be made with all the DLC and missing content integrated into the game. It would be a second chance to glow for the game. The best would be to have an end game where you can modify your party by adding other characters like Luna or Ravus
Reminder that we will never - play as Ravus, play as Luna, play as Aranea. Explore niffleheim, explore Catarnica or get a full map of Altissia...... or see older demon hunter Iris........
never say never. This days reboots, remakes are popular af from devs and I bet 100% we get ff15 again same as ff7. Like 100% specially because of how popular ff15 even while its basically hard butchered. Only real question, when, thats can be after 1 year or 5 or 10
I love this game as it is, one of the greatest I've ever played, but it's really sad to see the developers never properly finished it. They just ran out of time and funding, after all the time the former Nomura-helmed team wasted in whatever it was he wanted to accomplish and had nothing to show for it.
I don't blame Nomura's team for the state of the project in 2012 - they were basically operating as support staff for Crystal Tools development for most of those six years outside of the infinite money faucet that they had for art assets and pre-production.
@@idleeidolon It's certainly one of my favorite games of all time and I've played a ton of games. I think this is kind of the opposite of what you're implying - once you play enough stuff (or read, or watch, whatever) the illusion of objective quality falls away and you learn to treasure unique ideas and feelings that matter.
I wish they could learn from no mans sky, the dev keep redeeming themselves and keep updating the game until now. FFXV story was so short and feel incomplete, so many cut content. I wish they can keep updating.
Do you think you could do a Lunafreya exploring altissa or a vs leviathan video? I would have loved to been able to explore altissia with Lunafreya and noctis
