I fitted mine on my Thruxton RS today, removed the baffles and it now has the sound to match its looks.
Sound fantastic Tim. Totally agree that these are the best sounding slip ons for the TTR. The shorties give the bike that aggressive stance. Love the channel. 👍🏁🇦🇺
@@tims-garage Hey Tim, I will be installing the same Cone exhausts to my 2018 TTR that already has the de-cat xpipe fitted. Question, did you re-tune the bike after fitting the exhausts? I have read on a couple of Forums that the 2017+ models will auto tune the ECU. Looks like you were install and play? Any advice is much appreciated ( like this vid, helpful).

Not a wide variety of after-market mufflers available for the Speedmaster, but we shall see. The Thruxton sounds great! Spring cannot return to the Saskatchewan prairies soon enough. Cheers. does it require any adjustment to the fuel injection map or does it work fine just by changing the muffler? Thanks! NICE sound!!
The ECU will automatically remap for the new configuration. You just have to start the bike up once the setup is complete and let it run until the fan kicks on and the ECU will reconfigure automatically

@@tims-garage Did it affect the decel popping at all? I have the same cone slipons on my Street Twin 900 and am considering a x-pipe, but I like the way it sounds now. Would be happier if it just made it deeper.
@@Ransonikuo a lot of decel popping! Not sure how it will be with the 900 tho... The sound is soooo great!
Hey Tim, fantastic bike! I'm inspired to go the same route with My Thruxton R. I have already installed the Motone X-pipe and still feel that I want a little more sound. After watching this video I believe I am sold on the Cone Shorties. I am curious, has your exhaust blued at all since installing these slip-ons? Are you still pleased with the performance and sound? Have you tuned your bike since?

I just put the Motone X-pipe decat on mine via my Triumph dealer in UK here. Only got standard silencers but I’ve got great ears and I have to say my bike sounds no different with the X-pipe installed. Sounds exactly the same. Really disappointed as dealer said the decat will make the standard exhaust sound better. No, it doesn’t at all, at stand still, in town or at 115mph. Really, really disappointed. Can’t remove baffles on the TOS and there is so much fibre packing in the TOS. At least the TOS look good and have great torque as they are long pipes. I’ve seen dyno figures on short pipes like the Cones that reduce peak torque from 71 lbs to 69 lbs.
Will put in a performance Air FilterK&N or DNA see if induction sound improves a bit.
From what I’ve heard on youtube it’s hard to make this 1200 engine sound good.
Mate, pls put some summer gloves on when riding. Black or Brown retro gloves from French company Racer looks great on any classic line Triumph. Racer Dante they are called but any summer gloves will do. Hands are often the first thing that hits the road when in an off.
I ALWAYS ride with gloves :)

What are the performance benefits of these pipes?
The same as with any freer-flowing pipes. Not to mention, they're lighter than stock.
