This video is fair use under U.S. copyright law because it is (1) transformative in nature, the video is a journalistic commentary on popular media (2) uses no more of the original work than necessary for the video's purpose, the claimed duration is an edited clip for rhetoric, and (3) does not compete with the original work and could have no negative affect on its market.
The one thing I avoided in the video itself is the idea that some real people look much older or younger than they are. If there are adult celebrities that look like teenagers, and you find them attractive, does that make you a creeper? This is honestly a topic I've been nervous to cover, but what do you think?
Should we ban those who looks younger than they are from breeding?
Atelier God Hell naw.
OtakuDaiKun that’s my point if once physique can get you banned from doing their human rights as full grown adults, it’s literally an infringement on their human rights.
Unrelated to the video for the most part but question should I try getting into the god eater series or not and if so should I start from the latest game in the series or start from the beginning?
@@codyhamilton7716 I personally would start from the first God Eater game (the most updated version of 1 being God Eater Resurrection). While 3, from what I heard as I have yet to play it but plan to, is largely stand-alone, but all 3 games are spectacular in their own right. Plus characters from 1 show up in the future games.

Am studying law, let's hope we new gen lawyers can fight to make a good distinction between real and fictional!
Simple, it's easier to go against the random middle class guy than to go after huge criminal organizations.

Great video daikun happy somebody finally talked about this.
"anime encourages the sexualization of children" is basically the same argument as "violent video games encourage violent individuals"; the most factual thing about these ideas is how neither theory have a single speck of verifiable evidence to support them.
Face the wall, degen.
I actually don't mind having characters look younger or older, I'm like sixteen but I look fourteen. Heck I even make a novel where most of my characters are like 50 or older but look like teenagers.
Heck I'm even making a crossover between the Fate franchise and a cartoon where I make new Servants and one of them (the most badass one of the ten) can alter her age.
So basically Oda Nobunaga.
Atelier God basically, yes
Emiko Lina I’m actually thinking on making a Fate Crossover as well once I’ve written my own story.
The Crossover is basically about my character killing almost the entire Fate/Stay Night cast. You could compare it to “Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe”, but it’s taken seriously.
The Atheist Bear that sounds so OP I love it. My version is like that there is this new Grail created by Sakura called the Broken Grail which takes modern heroes like Batman and turn them into Broken Servants by changing their fate. Each Broken Servant can't use their own NP mostly because Broken Servants use the other NP from the Servants who ones competed from their class respectively. For example Saber of pink (the main female character in Season 2 which I'm working on) can use all NP from the Saber class including the Alters and also can use one NP from her Lancer form. The same goes for her Lancer of pink form who uses the NP from the Lancers and one of the Berserker etc.
Emiko Lina Emiko Lina That sounds pretty cool!
But to be honest, my character isn’t THAT overpowered. Honestly the only reason he even survives against Berserker (Hercules) is because he kills Illya. With the fight pretty much going like this:
My character uses his mechanical finger tentacles to decapitate Berserker. He then comes back to life. My character is shocked and very confused as to how this happened. The main characters explain how OP God Hand is. He then asks how he’s supposed to kill Berserker 12 times. They shrug, and he is actually scared now. He runs away from Berserker for a bit cursing like a madman until he realizes that Illya is right next to Berserker. And promptly kills her.
But yeah, he’s still very strong. Only in more unorthodox ways. Imagine Souichirou Kuzuki as a martial arts expert, and then give him steroids, a mechanical arm with tentacle fingers, telekinetic powers and a healing factor that is strong enough to re-attach limbs and you’ve basically got my character in nutshell.
But that’s only a brief summary of his abilities and the Crossover itself.
... Can we just talk about the fact that anime character have a set age at the time of their depiction in their respective original works, that said age moves along with their universes' time, and that we don't share our time with theirs?
... Alternatively, can we just talk about how creepy it is that people who virtue signal by proposing laws and drafts like this one are the ones who can't make a distinction between fiction and reality?
I feel like anime could easily side step this issue by not bring up the ages of their characters. Age can be implied through employment status, or what kind of student they are (depending on the genre of course), since to my knowledge there isn’t a portion of the fandom that requires a character to be the same age to enjoy or relate to them.
A lot of japanese games tried that and guess what? It was futile, they don't care about the actual age, they only care about the appearance, the looks.
Thanks Dai, in this age of misunderstandings there can never be enough voices that help bring people to their senses.
My stance on anything is,
" Just because a person likes a medium in fiction, does not mean they support it in reality."
Thanks for making this video I wish more people would see these issues as nuanced as you! Too many people just scream pedo and put their fingers in their ears when you try to explain that it's just drawing and they advocating for censorship. Thank you so much for eloquently articulating how alot of us feel. I think these governments and platforms are overreaching with how defensive they are being in banning fictional character depictions.
The fact that some of the ridiculously buff JoJo dudes are supposed to be like 12 convinced me that age has literally zero meaning in anime
Yoko is 14?! I thought she was around 20 years old. That's BS!
She's 21 after the time skip, and still look almost the same.
Oh you got jailbaited! Yeah. 14. And no bullshit. Well yes it mostly is, but also thats anime for you.
Actually, the whole chronological system in TTGL is messed-up, chances is that she is actually older in earth years
It's all just fantasy, it's not really a big deal. Also it seems like they haven't noticed that all the different types of humans on Earth sexualize pretty much anything even the abnormal things you wouldn't even think that can be sexualize.
What i hate about these things is how much people confuse the word pedophile. Being attracted to pre pubescent children is a pedophile. But people will call men this for thinking a pubescent teenage girl is attractive. Which makes no sense. And that I think confuses this issue and fucks people up. Please tell me how a person is creepy or sick for finding a 17 year old girl attractive but a week later when she’s 18 it magically no longer is. The distinction is you don’t mess with underage girls. But finding some of them attractive does not make someone a pedophile.
Fictional characters are fictional. It's creepy to have characters that look and act like children sexualized but it's not REAL. I'm more concerned if this actually impacts real people and no actually it doesn't. 9 times out of 10 it doesn't and that last time is mostly someone whining about how they were "influenced" by fiction to do this. They are responsible for their own actions, watching or reading anything in this regard does not have anything to do with their own damn choices.

In Game of Thrones certain characters aren’t even close to 18, in IT (you know that obscure horror book) there is a rather explicit sex scene between minors, in Titanic Rose is supposed to be 17 during the "Draw me like one of your french girls" part.

Interesting. I don't watch game of thrones but you're telling me it depicts minors nude or having sex? Are the actors of age?
When you have people who cannot or don't want to even try to understand a culture or sub-culture then stuff like this happens.
Anime turning mainstream will hurt it. The larger spotlight will make it a prime target. And in the end, it's the fans that will suffer.

If anything, it's a useful outlet for those who have urges, but they would never touch a real child in real life because they know it's wrong. If they do, then they would do it regardless of the Lolicon being banned or not. People who can't see a difference between fiction and reality are a threat, not individuals who just enjoy a genre of anime. At least Japan is doing something about them, unlike in other countries.
Regarding Arturia, while her body stopped aging when she pulled the sword from the stone, she ruled as King of Britain for about a decade, so she's technically already early to mid 20s. As an aside to that, if we go by original Fate/stay night, she has to be older than 18, given she's originally from an eroge.
She's mentally older but her body looks the same as it did at 15.

everyone loves a story. And money is the oldest and greatest of them all.
As an Asian woman, I'm always asked what high school I attend. Never university. I've also been asked to show my ID once just to sit at the bar table at SF airport. It's very telling that most people assume I'm a teenager when I'm in fact in my late twenties. And I don't blame them. Also, since I enjoy drawing, I've drawn myself in an anime/manga style several times. The generic anime body type & youthful face works for me, with a few alterations, so that it somewhat resembles me. So if I get complaints on my drawings for being "child-coded" and "promotes pedophilia" because I decided to draw an Asian girl in a bikini or completely nude, it makes anti pedos sound like they've never been outside and met a petite person who is 18+.
If people badly want to be extreme with laws, then they should try banning baby faced, petite adults from dating and marrying until they hit their late 40s or early 50s and see how that works out.
This just means that people don't know how to give people correct ages.

You’re doing a great thing it’s art end of story to authorities. People that perceive it as *cough* child pornography are insulting the creator, their work, and hurting an industry that not only allow people feel immersed in a different universe but changes peoples lives as well. Not to mention the huge backlash if they even do ban it
Well it is child porngraphy but i guess you don't see how do you?
Keep laws out of art, first we ban young characters, next we ban murder, then violence, then drama. This is how crazy this mindset is.
Oh yeah the whole Banning involving anime related stuff. I first heard about that in Twitter and thought wow this is slightly getting out of hand. I think me and my friends were talking about that a little bit but then we're like we still like the girls we like and they act mature despite their body types. It warms my heart to see anime Alisa.
You can’t say age doesn’t matter in anime and then have people justifying their love of Lolis by saying “she’s actually a 1000 year old demon so it’s ok” or whatever. Either you own up to being attracted to a character depicted/aged as a child but recognize they ARE fictional, or say any character is up for grabs so long as the word of god says they’re of age. The reason you don’t think anime is disconnected from pedophilia in the same way real world violence is from video games is because those are two very different kinds of crimes. Murders and serious assaults are highly publicized. Do you think that every child pornography case is brought to the public’s attention? Of course not, in fact usually only when the perpetrator is somewhat famous do those stories become news at all. If you ever venture in to the dark web, which I don’t really recommend, you’ll see firsthand how much shared consumption there is between anime/sfm/3D model children, and actual photos/videos. The connection is there, just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
My stance on the issue is that we shouldn't be attacking individuals for liking a character who is canonically underage. However, the institutions that produce, and promote this behavior is what warrants criticism.
Underage persons have been sexualized in not only Japanese media, but in media across the world. Hollywood in particular has a huge problem with sexualizing minors as well. Many American movies feature canonically underage characters but are played by adults who are 10 to 20 years their senior. You might not notice it at first, but it's very off-putting once you do.
Anime is a neat scapegoat, but the problem extends much past it and I believe many people arguing against anime fail to realize this.
Similar arguement can be made of playing violent video games just cause I play does not mean automatically I'll be a violent person in real life. People who are in UN just want dictate what we can consume and what we can enjoy which is dangerous for one entity to hold on freedom of speech and expression.
The whole ordeal is similar to when the UN tried to protect women in video games.
I completely agree with you on run of the mill anime . However I feel the argument gets a little complicated when you bring in hentai involving lolis and also sexual assault media. Now, I’m not saying that media directly influences people to go out and do what they just saw, but it would be negligent to say that our media intake does not affect us whatsoever. Personally, I feel like anyone can read or write or draw whatever they want, however we should be aware of the types of media we consume and if its contents are problematic or not.
I'm all for giving everything a platform but being upfront about contents.
what media you consume is your business and no one elses to tell you because someone might do something heinous or illegal-you have no authority over them therefore no responsibility
luke smith if that were the case then why do people get up in arms when media gets something wrong.
@@sneakysneakyraccoon8538 because were in a culture war and media is the place people get information- knowledge is power
if the media was wrong about lets say the president stealing the election like they pushed the last 2 years, then people were scared that since we live in a democracy, the media could whip people up in emotions and get the president impeached over lies(individuals can be unpredictable but masses are easy to predict and manipulate, especially with emotions)
if the media is simply mistaken like they read the stock market wrong then people use that false info and make bad investments
people are simply fighting for power in a culture war and the media are the tanks
I agree with what you said. I find it fascinating that people who do not understand the context of things and base things on how people look which is in my opinion wrong. In the fate series there is Mordred who is my favorite character. From all aspects those trying to judge from looks alone would allow her and yet she is hilariously young. In contrast another character Hilda from Stella Glow has the power of time and has lived over 1000 years and yet based on looks she would be condemned.
Countries and people who would rather prioritize the censorship of fiction ignore that the problem lies in idiots who cannot distinguish fiction and reality. These same countries and people then ignore real world issues such as China's pollution, homeless on the rise, Identitarian politics and policies in the U.S., corruption, incompetent parenting, indulging fools (broad meaning), and the simple fact that censoring fiction has not had an impact on the real world in reducing crime.

I don’t see issues with lolis until people start sexualizing them. Especially if they’re canonically under 18.
Edit: one could say fiction is fiction, but it still impacts reality. But I think outright banning them is a little much, I could understand if it was like. loli pornography, but altogether? Nah
Loli porn isn't child porn. I don't give a crap if some real pedo gets into being a pedo from loli content, if we start banning loli to prevent such people then we're not addressing the real problem. Causality doesn't equal fault. That would be like banning religion every time someone uses god to justify their terrorist attack. It would be like banning the Dark Knight because some idiot claimed to be the Joker before shooting up a movie theater.
OtakuDaiKun fair point I suppose.
Great vid. I think most people who champion the banning of Lewd Loli content do so out of their own personal taste rather than out of a moral deed. I remember someone telling me "Loli Hentai should be band because it could cause someone to harm kids" but when I asked them about porn with actual adults that have the depiction of rape in it, they said " that's fine because the actors are two consenting adults".
Wow, just wow. So rapeplay is fine but drawings are where they draw the line? >.>
@@LeonGun8 Well by that logic yes it is fine.
The actors are consenting adults which is the diffrence.
@@nathanielduncan4692 then by that logic Loli hentai should be fine because it's just a drawing not actual kids.
@@nathanielduncan4692 that's good and all, my point is "because it might cause someone to harm kids" is not a valid reason.
I think this argument on banning drawn acts of lolis is silly. Since there is no correlation of pedos and drawings, the next conversation is “do we give human rights to drawings that aren’t autonomous?” We should define what is consciousness before we give human rights to drawings.
I personally see it like this if it can recognize itself in a mirror I considered that thing sentient, if it’s alive but can’t recognize itself in the mirror I consider it subsentient which means they are mostly just living instincts and then inanimate objects they can’t be sentient, enough said.

Great video, my only problem is that you didn’t mention Italy’s finest gangstar Giorno Giovanna aged 15, a number so confusingly low it’s brought up by other characters in the show/manga on multiple occasions.
To boil it all down to 5 simple Words I say to more or less everyone:
"Anime Ages are Bull Crap"
Honestly bless you for this video. It's very well explained and very clear. Anime is an artistic vision, not a creation made to make you do bad things just because of something you may not even really know, that being a character's age. Sure I've made multiple attractive teenage characters on top of adult ones, but they are just there to be written and enjoyed and that's all. I wouldn't be open about it if I was okay with harming children in any way.
there is always gonna be problems with this topic since things like this happen in anime in daily basic like:
"Hey MC (20 years old and 1,77 cm tall), look at this girl (1,58 cm tall), she's is your wife from now on... and by the way, she is 25 years old and the big girl (1,87 cm tall) reading the book there, is her little sister, she is 13 years old"
if you see the world around this day is not that strange see some girls and boys looks very much older but barely been 15 and even some persons looks very very young but they have like 30 or something like that, BUT, and I can't stress myself enough to repeat this BUT is always need to remember that "ANIME IS FICTIONAL" and like you mention in the video, some authors take some liberties in their desings and that's why some character look young or older or even look like a girl but is a boy. and maybe the author will give some reason "not always but sometimes...." of why some character looks younger or older, like Illya in Fate, she is 18, but there is a reason why looks like 12 at best.
but the problem is that is always people who cannot see or separet the like between fiction and reallity and thanks to that most of the anime and their fans are blame for being perverts and things like that...
Well the authors are also pedophiles.
Many people tend to forget that it all boils down to the decrease in mankind's maturity overall. In the early days of human civilizations, people were considered mature at a much earlier age than they are today. King Tut was 10 I believe when he became pharaoh. Cleopatra was quite young as well if I'm not mistaken. Joan of Arc was 14 and leading the French in a revolution against the British. There are many many cases of what we consider to be mere teenagers today doing world changing, and mature, Noble things. Arranged marriages were done at ages as young as 13 for girls. And they were marriages to males of age 17+ in many cases as well. The true problem is our decline in maturity as a species. There are many relationships in which the age difference is very substantial, and is completely consented by the parents on both sides, whereas it would otherwise be looked down upon by those more close-minded to accept it. These old customs are very much still to some extent kept alive in Japan today. Thus being the reason nearly every anime we know usually consists of boys and girls in highschool. Yes there are people who take advantage of the Immaturity and use child and teen ignorance to benefit their unruly intentions. I believe these criminals to be no different than those who use other means (drugs, alcohol, etc) to subdue victims of the "adult" variety. Looks by no means can be considered a factor in determining age. What with the many child actors and actresses, the simple fact that there are many who develop publicly much faster than others. This diversity is simply one of many factors that defines us against mere animals. And the only true answer would be to continue our intent focus on the enforcement of the penalties on those who allow their immaturity to get the better of them (committing obscene and immoral acts as a result). I do believe eromanga sensei was the anime to aspire ppl's close-mindedness into the ban. I for one found the show strangely hysterical. It's quite clear that sex is often used as a comical device in nearly all media. I've seen non-anime movies where having actual underage actresses(actors) comment profanly about sexual topics is a punchline in a joke. And it's funny in my opinion. Kids are much smarter than we make them out to be. My daughter is one such case. And it's wrong to put creators and artists out of business in place of being an actual responsible and mature person about it in whatever the situation happens to be for a given claimer of the victim role.
Good God I need to stop these long ass comments. XD I think this'll be my last. Hope it was able to reach somebody.
Fun fact ; it even was in America a thing where a girl was considered a woman when they started having periods and okay to have sex with aswell as marry at that point... But that has of course changed ...But it was a well enough known fact at one point that my mother that's still around is aware of that fact having been a thing despite it seemingly not having been a thing when she was a girl

I think it’s a big problem depicting age is someone in their late teens is no different than someone who’s a young adult.
The issue is the moral elietists that can't differentiate reality from fiction, or conflate the 2 as equals
No the issue is loilcons don't you see it?

It is as you say, Anime is fiction in every way. Instead of blaming the individual who did these terrible acts in the first place, the media would rather just blame the object for "influencing the individual into doing these terrible actions". Games and Anime with any level of violence or sexism gets this kind of treatment all the time.
I really like this video, I also agree with you Daikun when you said that people looking younger or older than they actually look, I am 16 and people look at me as if I'm older. I just really don't like it, sure I may seem tall to other people, but I'm just a kid at heart who just wants to enjoy things like anime and games all the time.
I really hate that people are blaming anime and games alike for the things they have done, I mean I watch some questionable anime and probably play a few of the most violent and gory video games, but I don't molest children, I don't want to kill people for fun. I just find anime and games a great way to stimulate your imagination, sure some people will want to try to make their fantasy real, but that's on them, not the anime or game itself.
Well i’m Blaming anime.
Are you sure you don’t?
@@nathanielduncan4692 Nah, I respect your opinion, but even if influences play a large part in decisions, the ultimate deciding factor is the choice of the person, whether or not the person does something may be because of influence, but in the end the person has to decide.
This is the best video I've ever seen on this topic thank you dai

@@OtakuDaiKun I think all of these loilcons should die in a fire.
This is a pretty interesting vid Dai and you presented very nicely.
Sorry, but I need to correct you on something, not a complaint. You can't just blanket statement the age of consent as 18, even in the US. In Japan, the age of consent is 13. In some European Countries, it's 14. In most European Countries it's 16. Even in the US, it varies statewise, with some states at 16 and others at 18.
That age of consent is 13 in Japan thing is just a rumor that's been debunked many times.
Literally all it takes is a quick Google search
"According to Article 177 of the Japanese Penal Code, anyone who "commits sexual intercourse with a female under thirteen years of age" will receive a minimum of 3 years in prison, and no less. This means that if you have sex with anyone under 13 years old you have committed a crime.
However, under Article 34 of the Child Welfare Act, (translated) "No person shall conduct any of the following acts ... act of fornication to children" 'fornication' refers to sex with an individual to which one is not married, and 'children' refers to anyone under 18 years of age.
According to the article "Marriage in Japan" on the official website for the American Embassy in Tokyo, Japan:
The male partner must be 18 years of age or older and the female partner must be 16 years of age or older.
A person who is under 20 years of age cannot get married in Japan without a parent's approval."
I don't need to list all the different ages of consent when the opposition is basing their morals off 18.
@@OtakuDaiKun Pretty much. As much as we like to "claim" ages of consent vary, the truth is that the society does blanket slates it as 18. That's why girls of 15-17 are ussually called "jailbait".
In Japan age 13 is only the national age of consent, all prefectures have ages of consent between 16 and 18. 12 and below is simply where is becomes a national crime.
Plus he specifically stated "The United State's age of consent" when he was talking about the age of 18. He was not talking about Japan, Europe, or anywhere outside of the US. It is true that in the US the age of consent varies between states, though.
16 in UK, but 18 to enter the porn industry or to legally watch porn
I don't think about age when watching anime.
Don't like all this excessive policing, its like it will be better if we are all robots with no individuality.
All just mindless programmed cells of this large organism called Earth.
So really, the real problem is the body type depicted in the art, not the characters age, maturity or agency that's being called into question which when you think about it is like body shaming in a way. I would love to see a video talking about people with underdeveloped bodies as adults. Also, not sure if it's been stated in the comments already but Artoria should be 25/26 mentally since she lived for 10ish years after her aging ceased which could actually be a perfect framing device for the whole 'young looking but actually an adult' conversation (same with Illya now that I think about it).
Great video either way!
Well people are quick to look at a young adult and label them a child, like they can't see the difference between Illy and Artoria.

Moreover, fictional worlds have different things which makes them different from our real world society. They might have different things such as stress (i.e. Alissa from god eater having aragami as one of main factor of stress) which could affect their development.
Stress makes you develop sexually?
@@OtakuDaiKun It is more linked to survival and competition. In cases of animals, some species chose to mature quickly in order to produce more offspring. More offspring means more chance of survival. Rabbits reach sexual maturity between 3-5 months and able to reproduce. If the world is in apocalyptic scenario, I assume not many people would have long life expectancy. The god eater series I mentioned above are also an example. Harsh environment will cause body to adapt to those situations. I do not want to sound lewd, but children might reach their sexual maturity quicker in case of reproduction is required. Hey, but it's just my theory.
@@huh2340 its true- they found that girls without fathers in the home start developing tits sooner sometimes by 2 or 3 years- the only reason why that would happen is when there was a war or he was killed by accident- tits are a sign to men of fertility so simply to survive and not be killed by starvation or the enemy, that fertility gives value to the conquerors -I forgot the study but I heard about it in my phyc class - my teacher tried to say it was hormones in food but it only affected girls and girls without fathers-I just think he wasnt comfortable with the reality of biology, because it contradicts laws and that biology didnt bend over backwards to fit with his morality

@@OtakuDaiKun look it up- epegenetics is a thing my dude alot of animals mature faster or breed more simply under stress or in the presence of a predators its a survival mechanism seen throughout nature -in animals females often abandon their kids to gain favor with the conquering males, especially in apes-
so if a 12 year old doesnt want to be abandoned or killed by the conquerors for being a useless mouth to feed- being fertile is a value that would cause the younger less able to survive
I completely agree will all your points but I've never understood WHY these creators *choose* to pick these ages. Like wtf goes through their head "yeah let's make this super sexy character *14* and sexualise them constantly as well, makes sense."

KeemstarIsTheGreatestUA-camrOfAllTime probobly the age of consent in Japan
Artoria according to the typemoon wiki Artoria ruled for about 10 years after pulling caliburn before dying so her canonical age if you have to give her one is 25.
See, I don’t have a problem with the character ages because well, I like them as characters and not because of their age, but I wanted to say something about Artoria.
Her body is stuck at the 15-16 age like you mentioned because of her possession of a holy artifact. (I’m too tired to remember what it is, but I think it’s Avalon)
She’s not actually 15-16 though. Her body is stuck there development wise, but she’s still the king of Britain in Arthurian legends. Which would tend to imply that she lived 20-30 years at minimum. Thus, her body may not have been shaped by age and experience, but her mind was.
Which is why this whole debate is just a mess. Like, actually, imma keep it real with y’all. There are some characters considered “lolis” that I’m attracted towards. But it’s not because of their age. I personally just turned 18, and the characters I like that people would consider lolis are Megumin from konosuba, Rory Mercury from Gate, and Milim from reincarnated as a slime.
I just figure that nothing should change, because change won’t really accomplish anything.
Regardless of how they carry themselves and how their body looks in society it is the age that makes the difference. I definitely get the head canon thing though. If it's a cartoon it's just art. You can draw from it what you will.
Loli s are a bane of existence in anime. Modern anime has become lazy and just panders for weirdos. That's why I almost always just watch old anime from before 2006

Where I'm from you can be 28~30 and look like a damn 16~18 year old at best. My IT professor was 26 and he looked 16 at best. Heck in general where I'm from you can shave 10~20 years off the older folks, my grandparents look to be in their early-mid 50s despite being 66 and 74. My mother still looks to be in her mid-30s despite being 44. And people still confuse me for a 16 year old despite being 23. So for us the concept of being old and still look young is normal. And anime girls being well endowed at 13 is given a very slight pass because there are real 13 year old that look older because of their bodies.
to me anime girls that are 13 and have double d's is sickening and to me it always will be i mean you know there minors right!?
@@nathanielduncan4692 minors are a social construct-tits mean fertility which = sex, thats what they would be made to do by their biology not some bullshit man made law
Theyre drawings and animations. So people can like what they want as long as their actions and beliefs don't hurt anyone.
That’s just a excuse and you know it.
One example you forgot, Dizzy from Guilty Gear. Body of a around 20 year old woman yet only 3 years old.
i do agree with the article.. why does anime give these anime girls an age that are younger than 18 with a storyline that is mature.. why do they sexualize kids.. for example yoko’s 15 year old age has nothing to do with the story.. then why not put her as 18+.. unless they are addicted to younger girls...
Age of consent simply doesn't exist in some anime. In some anime, it's more...physical and mental maturity. Imagine a character with a 20 year old life span, or a character with a normal life span, but their...species reaches physical and mental maturity earlier than normal humans do.
Stop talking about censoring everything we love, Internet, games, anime and manga are last medias free from this political shit which destroys every original creation. And each one who tries to change this should be elliminated by Kira. ^^
I absolutely agree with what’s been said in this video, the fact that most of the time artist slap a mostly insignificant number on a characters profile for their age and as such most characters around the 17 years mark have bodies befitting 18 years or older. However I personally believe that the production of child characters made in ways that can be conceived as pornography should be limited, whilst I’m not blaming the animation studios themselves because it’s blatantly obvious that they draw a fine line of going to far and will not cross into pornography but can get quite close (eromanga sensei), I believe as a community we should stop producing the stuff that can be conceived as child pornography, for example body pillows or artworks, because whilst there is no direct evidence to suggest that shows like eromanga sensei has a negative effect on people making them into pedofiles at the same time there is no evidence to actively suggest that it doesn’t. As such I believe it would be better to air on the side of caution and move to at least reduce the amount of material regarding children being made.
I'm sorry I'm just gonna say the meme phrase everyone is thinking
DON'T LEWD THE LOLI

Up to min 4 i don't think it's a matter of sexualizing minors, it's more about the adults fantasy of being a teenager again. I.. don't think I should reveal this information but I vaguely recall a time in my life when I wanted to be Taylor Momsen, I was about 27 at the time. Like if I woke up tomorrow in the body of a teenager girl I would start a rock band or something.
It's just business.... Also, it just works ~ Todd
Another point is anime characters don't age in real time and what I mean by that is that even if there was a 16-year-old character and 2 or 3 real-life years pass the shows time frame might not move that fast and the character might still be 16 which makes it impossible for the character to be considered an adult even though they would technically be 18.
I completely agree with your video and its nice to see people talking about this.
I see a lot of people saying “it DoEsnt MaTtEr thEy ArEnt rEal”. But I’m sorry I’m a huge anime fan but it sometimes uncomfortable to see an anime sexualize underage characters like YES I know they aren’t real and that there just cartoons. But some of you don’t understand what type of image that gives off , just because something isn’t real doesn’t mean it’s bad. I’m not judging anyone who’s ok with underage anime girls being sexualized but I find it weird because most of the time for example anime girls are drawn as humans and stuff and if there underage (example 15) getting sexualized and put in weird perverted situations with the MC then yeah that’s a bit weird to me. And before you comment “yOu hAve a SiCk mInd”. No I do not , I’m just not very fond if the way underage characters are depicted both male and female. I know there’s those comic relief moments in anime that’s there for comedy but if things really start getting weird that’s where I draw the line. Believe it or not there’s many weird people who praise the idea of 14 year old anime girls with huge titties and undies showing etc. there’s really no stopping this tho there’s many many anime with sexualized underage characters but there’s always a line in how far it can go. Yes it is not real but some people might get twisted ideas because of that like “iTs nOt REAl itS oK”. Like yeah an anime about a 12 year old girl with a 40 year old guy is ok because it’s not real1!1!1!1!1. This is just my opinion tho everyone has a different one .
I think it's a bit demonizing to say that they're doing it primarily to "censor" creativity or "police your thoughts".
It's far more reasonable to assume they just don't like it so they don't have a problem with shutting it down, not seeing the obvious ramifications of engaging in censorship of things you don't like.
"Never attribute to malice what is better explained by stupidity."
They are bloody cartoons it's a bloody stupid pointless issue it stops Pedophilia tbh it makes the person interested in Loli love the cartoon over the real thing so I don't see the problem...
I see the problem in that you just like the rest of them.
The only real gripe I have with the underaged anime girls thing is how the devs always give out annoying mixed signals in regards to the topic. They want us to look past the ages to instead recongize their girls character & mental maturity but then why in the same breath put so much visual emphasis on their adolescence & give them the ridiculous ages?
Anime girls like Yoko (& Misty) shouldn't be that young then to begin (like what do they have against 15-18 yr olds?) with unless it's very plot relevant, which it pretty much never is in lot works I viewed in my life.
Like, those sexy censored Pokémon manga were nice because they made Misty look fully developed. It'd be better I agree if they just aged up all their characters.
