Take Honey to a professional groomer, not Petsmart or Petco. Find a legitimate groomer who will clean and wash her.

Yes! I've had Shih Tzu's for the last 16 years and couldn't agree more! The independent groomers are not constantly changing and actually get to know your dogs and their personalities. My current groomers still tell us they miss my last 2 girls and how well behaved they were. To know they miss them too, means a lot to me.

Tell Chris my husband had a heart attack at 40 y/o. He’s 58 now. Doctors blamed it on the 3-4 energy drinks he drank daily. He’s was not over weight on the contrary, he is always working out and eats very well. His heart was so enlarged that his heart ejection fraction was at 8. He was basically dead if not for the wonderful doctors bringing him back to life. He now has a pacemaker.
I wish all of these stories of energy drinks were out there more. My cousin ended up in the hospital for the same reason. I am so happy that you that you still have your husband ❤
My cousin almost died from energy drinks. He’s a personal trainer, should know better right?! He was about 40 yrs old when he started having heart issues. STOP WITH THE ENERGY DRINKS CHRIS.

I’m in my mid 30s. I haven’t drank an energy drink in almost two years. I didn’t drink them a lot anyway but every time I did, I would get terrible chest pain, a very rapid heartbeat, and shortness of breath.
We lost a young friend 32 to a heart attack due to energy drinks. Her heart was enlarged and she had a major heart attack. It made her blood pressure so high. Those drinks are not worth it. Please don't drink them and never allow your kids to have them. A lot of kids are drinking them because they are in sports. Then having heart attacks. That is howitzer started with our friend, in middle school.
As a hairstylist by the way his perm looks it wasn’t done properly and she didn’t use the right rod size unfortunately it’s not a proper curl form

I’m also a hairstylist & I commented this same thing on her instagram! It was definitely not done properly, the perm will most definitely be done within 2 weeks..

As a dog groomer I can say we have doodles on a regular grooming schedule. We usually recommend no more than 6 weeks between appointments. A lot of our doodle owners are on a 4 week schedule some even do every 2 weeks if they keep a full coat.
We did the early training stuff with my puppy before she was vaccinated and we took her everywhere with us, and now she doesn’t bark at other people or dogs and she gets along with every dog she’s ever met and she’s not timid or shy, like our other dog that we rescued
We have doggy wipes that we use in between baths. We also put raincoats on our pups during rainy season to keep their coats dry. She’s so adorable!
As someone with curly hair you should try to use a defuser attachment on your blow dryer! It helps it dry while not getting frizzy! Also if you use curl gel you may want to get a hair oil and crunch out the gel cast so his hair is softer and smoother!
I have a labradoodle and he has a rain coat he uses in the rain to go to the toilet outside, keeps his fur from gettin wet and smelling 😊😊
A quick tip for Landon new perm buy some saltwater/sea salt spray it’s gonna help define his curl I’m not 100% how to use it but probably u would have to spray it on after his showers and when his hair needs a little refresh! I believe that the clean cut cosmetics sea salt spray is good it has simple ingredients and is easy to use , but I am sure u can do ur research and find other ones too !

I'm afraid that Landon's perm is going to fall out before too long. Perms often don't take well on children as they are missing a
inner part of the hair called the medulla which doesn't develop until after puberty. Blonde hair and fine often never develop a medulla which will contribute to the failure of a perm. I think it might have been better if smaller rods where used as well.
I have always finished vaccines by 4 months on puppies. A set at 8, 12, and 16 weeks and they should be done. Better safe than sorry though, since parvo season is upon us! She’s so sweet!!
Yes but then you give it 2 weeks after those vaccinations until they are fully protected. So although they may get them at 8, 12, and 16 they aren’t fully safe until 18weeks

No get them the full first year of reccomebded vaccine I had 2 puppies die from parvo 1 was 10 weeks old and the vet said wait 6 months because the germs can live in the ground outside for that long so 6 months later we got another puppy that puppy to ended up getting g parvo the second vet said that parvo lives for 1 year outside and that’s probably why this puppy was sick both puppies were scheduled for their shots on time but became sick before the appointment date sad thing is that parvo is extremely hard to catch and by the time they start showing symptoms it’s to late to save them most of the time and the vet with my second puppy said that even tho the symptoms started it was only 1 day into the symptoms so she had a 90 percent chance of survival which is extremely high for this illness but they wanted 800 dollars immediately to admit the puppy we had 600 and said we can make payments in for the rest they basically allowed a puppy who would of lived with treatment to die over 200 dollars that would of been paid in 1 week it sucks because they should not be allowed to deny treatment to an animal that will more than likely live they because they can not deny treatment to a person
Curl smith styling soufflé is THE BEST styling product for curly/permed hair! It will define the curls, make the frizz go away, hold the curls ALL day. 10/10 recommend!! It’s the only curly product that I will suggest to ANYONE & EVERYONE FOREVER! 😊
I highly recommend getting pet wipes or dry shampoo for Honey. You could also get a deodorizer spray to help with the smell. Don't wash her too often because her skin like you said. Make sure you take her to a good groomer too!
Puppy training classes are also a great way to socialize her.
Hi hi, I worked at a vet for a few years and the vet taught me that you should wash your dog/puppy only once a month. When you wash them you strip their skin of all the natural oils and protection and it needs time to build back up so that they don't develop skin conditions. So 1 wash/groom every 4 weeks is the recommended, but for Honey seeing that she most probably has a double coat and curly hair I would recommend brushing at least 5 times a week to prevent mats and keep her coat nice and healthy by distributing the natural oils. You can also take a baby wipe and clean her if she does get muddy since that won't disrupt the oils. There is also dog safe 'deodorant' , that you spray on them to get that stinky smell away. This is a long comment but I hope it help!

A little PSA make sure you get up more through the night on the days you do dewormer. It can cause an upset tummy and diarrhea
My sister in law has a golden doodle and the groomers told her plainly bath once a week with long hair during the cold weather and once every 2 weeks during the warmer weather or when she starts to smell and shaved.
They do make "dry shampoo " and colognes for dogs. It helps between baths. Especially if smell is something you are sensitive to.
You are going to have to ask Kyson and Kadon to sit on a chair whilst you do their hair. They are getting far too tall. As for your beautiful dog. When he gets just somewhat dirty. I would just have a towel or two just for him. Then just wipe him down. Make sure the cloth/ towel is slightly damp. You can buy something like wet wipes for babies and children but they are obviously for pets. They have a nice smell too. Hope this advice helps. I mean if they get terribly dirty then it's easier to bath them. Maybe just get them wet though and only use actual shampoo every so often. My boy Labrador loves water lol. He's not happy unless he's getting dirt all over himself. I live in Great Britain. England. Near the new forest. We have had a ton of rain for what seems like ever. Well for a good month anyway. So everywhere is so boggy. I keep expecting to bump into Shrek !! So Harvey my dog is in his element with the wet and damp surroundings. My back is killing me from all the washing. He's definitely worth it though. Those big chocolate brown eyes that look at you., 😍
to get dogs used to it (especially doodles) they should go to a groomer every 8 weeks 🙈
And I've heard, when you bath them yourself you should use conditioner as well because if you just use shampoo their skin produces more oil again and you can prevent that "massive" oil production with conditioner 🙈 (i hope I've explained it right, English is not my first language 😂) (girl with the dogs (on UA-cam and tiktok) taught me this)
Take Honey to get bathed and groomed on a regular basis. Also get her a pet car seat when you start taking her in the car for her safety. Landen looks so handsome with his perm! HB Landen!🎈🎉🧁

Honey needs regular grooming too otherwise she will get her coat will be mattered and knot
Go to Ulta beauty salon for hair services & perms!! The only salon in US that EVERYONE is trained the same & have one of the most experience out of most salons. & they are located in almost every state! ❤
Our vet gives our dog a shot every year to prevent Heartworm.
When my mom had perms she washed it put gel in dried it with blow dryer then went to work
I have 2 golden retrievers. One we bought clippers for because he needs to be groomed so often! (if you do it yourself and watch some videos she may have some bad hair days but it’s great once you get in the groove it’s perfect 😂) funny enough tho is my second golden never needs groomed and she just has perfect clean shiny soft hair all the time!
Our dogs get a weekly bath and brush. We have Cattle Dogs and they just get dirty.
Goldendoodles don't need frequent baths. A bath once a month, or when they get dirty, is sufficient
You’ll be fully vaccinated at 16 weeks. Vaccines each month starting at 8 weeks. Once they are done you’ll have a great time taking her out with you. Go to stores as well cause that’s also great socialization for her! I have an Australian labradoodle and he’s fantastic! she will 100% become your best buddy❤
because she's a doodle, i'd highly suggest getting her used to a groomer, so she atleast get's used to the progress in-case she get's matted or so. that way you can also easely ask the groomer details about how often to wash her & with what propper skin-care (if you wash a dog you want to condision her so she has oil on her skin again after a bath)
For curls - look into black owned/run brands with good reviews if you can!! The black community have INCREDIBLE methods for maintaining curls. Landon's look SO good.
My son uses just mouse and that’s good enough if you put to much creams will make it heavier I feel like it last less than
For Landon get him a silk pillow case it helps with the curls while he’s sleeping.
Our mini goldendoodle gets groomed every 6 weeks. We have a mobile groomer that comes to our home in their grooming van 💙
you will also need to give her flea/tick and worm tablets once a month. it may be different in the US but since where you live is very grassy, she is likely to get ticks. ask her vet about it, and they can inform you on what to do.
We just got a puppy a couple of months ago too and the mud is rediculous. Our puppy just turned 4 mos old a couple of days ago and she is a smaller dog and her little tummy touches the ground and she is cream colored so super fun! 😂 I will probably bath her once a week or so. My daughter has an Irishdoodle and she doesn’t have to bathe her near as much. She has been to petsmart to shop and we will be taking her to stores like Home Depot and Menards but not letting her touch the ground just yet. She loves taking rides in the car. We put a blanket in the seat and give her some toys and she just lays there and plays. My daughters dog sits like a human the entire time lol!
Remember, your puppy is a baby and she needs lots of sleep. Our dog only gets a bath at the groomers, every 6 to 8 weeks unless she has rolled in something really foul. Dogs have a smell and we need to allow it to happen.
Doodles need more baths than other dogs, so don't be afraid to wash her too much !

By 4 months a puppy if bought early on (8 weeks) should be fully vaccinated. I used to start 6 weeks & 8 weeks on my babies before going to their new homes and have the new family give their last shot 2 weeks after, so 6,8,10 but things have changed since and vets in my area in So Cal have been vaccinating them a lot more at 8,10,12,14,16 which I think it a bit much so I just do 8,10,12,14. Then boosters yearly. Some say every 3 years but I hear so many different things so to be safe I take mine to be vaccinated yearly. Parvo is not something you want to deal with
Are perms different now? It used to be your curls couldn't get _wet_ at all for 48-72 hrs.

I have a waterless foam shampoo from target, i use it on my schnoodle in between baths, since my dog lives insise the house keeps him smeling fresh
Put salt water in a spray bottle, spray and scrunch the hair, it really brings out the curls 😊

I bathe my Shepard/Golden ever 5 to 6 weeks and use baby shampoo per the vet. It is much gentler on their skin.
You could get lazerlight put on the varander or our freind has skylight blinds, they sort of an aluminium slates that you can open and close with a remote or wall device when its hot, or raining or cold

2-3x a month you don't want to do it too much because it dries out there skin. They make sprays for dogs to smell better.
I got a perm at his age and the perms kept falling out after a month they said it was because I hadn’t hit puberty yet I wonder if that was really true because his looks pretty good I’m curious to see if his holds up!
After he washes his hair ani puts in the products let diffuse his hair it will work well start with the roots then work down!
My dog just turned 3, he gets groomed once a month. But when he was a puppy he would get into stuff and be so dirty and stinky sometimes that he had to be bathed maybe 2/3 times a month. I can’t super remember but when he was being potty trained and learning the doggy door- we had some mishaps 😅 and how could you not bathe them when THAT happens lmao… I would recommend getting a gentle wash specifically for puppies if you can.

Dog washes depends on breed. I have a husky be doesn’t really have baths other than spot cleaning feet and swimming in summer. Other dogs need more with certain fur. But also hair cuts help. Some people take the dog every 2 months for a cut and wash. My dog had shots every month till 3 months then a booster at one year than is good for 3 years aside from some specific ones

The first 3 months we got our puppy I would give her a bath 1 time a week then I started taking her to a small groomer every 6 to 8 weeks
my dog is a complete mutt so i’m not sure it would be a good idea for honey but i use waterless shampoo almost everyday on my dog ! she’s a super mixed breed from aruba and doesn’t need to get groomed or anything so again not sure how that would work on a golden doodle but wanted to mention it!
keep washing honey frequently because it will establish it as a normal activity so she will be less scared of it in adulthood
The easy way to do those seats girl is to put the long tail up under the butt cushion then put it through to the belt clip cincher thing and then put it through the clip then once you can tighten it, shove it down under the seat with the tail and pull it towards the front, should work

Your puppy is considered high maintenance when it comes to grooming so you can be technically bathing them ever 6-8 weeks. Most dogs that don’t have to be groomed people say every 6 months to a year for a bath.
But I have a puppy that doesn’t need to be groomed and I have had to bath her 3 times already because of it being wet and muddy out: and she doesn’t love booties/a rain coat
As puppy’s I find they need a bath about once a week and then at about 7 months I am able to switch to once a month.

@@cassiearz1908 I wouldn’t do once a week unless absolutely necessary, once a month at the most. Bathing puppies isn’t good for them. They are prone to getting sick more

Puppy should be vaccinated by 4 months. 1st round, second round, and a booster 3-4 weeks after 2nd round.
