My name is Jess! I had a daughter (Lilia) at age 18 w/ my high school sweetheart. We mutually split up & co-parent to this day. I met someone new, got married at age 19, had twin boys (Kyson & Kaden) and another son (Landen). He cheated, we split ways, & he’s not around much. After juggling life as a single mom of 4 for some time, I met Chris, he had 2 sons: Caden and Tommy, who eventually became my step sons. After Chris and I got married, we had our 7th child together, Addelyn. my nail tech told me the reason the nails pop off your pointing finger/middle finger first is because those are the nails that experience the most trauma first because they are the most prone to being hit off of things. Like if you think about when you go to grab things or when you lift anything you normally lead with those fingers and carry the most weight with those ones... if that makes sense :) the exact same thing happens to me!
I had issues with nail salons. My nails always popped off, I jumped from shop to shop and honestly it’s “nail salons”. They tend to use cheaper products.. I finally found my nail tech who isn’t associated with nail salons. And she has told me all the secrets. She works by herself, and my nails with last WEEKS. 😌 also I have oily nail beds, and it takes a good tech to realize that.
Landon has to be one of the most cleanest kids out of all your kids!
Acrylic nails never last long for me either. You should try the liquid gel. Those things last 3 weeks or longer. Pricey but worth it.
My Brother is 14 years older and moved with his now Wife, when I was 3. So yeah, I consider myself an only child. And I did not like to share, I am introverted.. ugh I am just a mess😂😂😂😂
so, i have the same issue with nails! i agree with other comments about the nail bed prep which is a dehydrator. i’ve also heard that if you use a lot of water and soak your nails aka baths, washing dishes , pools etc can weaken the adhearance to your nails!

I come from a family of 6 and we have tons of nieces and nephews. We are now a blended family. And it is hard for my hubby
Do the sticker nails! They last so long! I end up having to take them off just because of growth. 5-10 dollars compared to $80+

Yup! I use dashing diva and their nails last me sooo long!
Also I wear gloves when i wash my hair so my hands don’t get submerged in water as that seemed to make them break faster. Idk if it helps that much but it makes me feel better!
I count down with my advent calendars because i want to know how many days left till christmas not what the date is.
Do the dip nails or gel. Also with the advent calendar I have my kids count backwards so we are counting down the days till Christmas.
I personally don't understand the nails thing. I use to be a terrible nail bitter because of horrible anxiety. But I stopped when I was like 18 or 19 because I wasn't so stressed anymore and I wanted pretty nails. So I grew them out and haven't had any issues with the growing process or anything 🤷🏼♀️. My natural nails are quite hard and don't break very easily I have to like slam them in something or off something for them to break. Idk perhaps it's time to go natural it's so much better for your nails health and it's way easier maintenance they just grow on their own 😅
I was an only kid for 10 years then my mom had my little sister and then I was in a blended family and then I went to a non-blended family and now I live with my fiancé an even bigger blended family. It’s so crazy the different dynamics 😅
I totally relate to you Jess, my husband is an only child n I'm no.5 of 6 kids. I have found he has a hard time sharing, were as I'm the opposite, that's just part of coming from a bigger family. I didn't have my own room until I was around 14yrs. I think you are doing a great job parenting your brood. Xx❤
I'm not the only child. I have 3 brothers, 2 older half brothers & a full younger brother so I'm the only girl & we're spread out in age like my oldest brother is 46, my older brother is 40, I'm 32 & my younger brother is 24.
*Apparently mimicking accents regularly is a big sign of ADHD/ADD according to my therapist. I do it all the time without even realizing* 😬

She seems pretty focused so I think in her case it could be hanging around the soccer coach so much because it’s British and not random 🤷🏻♀️

You might have oily nail beds, which would cause the artificial nail to not adhere to your nail. Make sure that the nail tech is using a nail bed de-oiler on your nails first. Hope this helps.

My brother always used to tidy his bedroom when he was younger. He was always so proud. Me and my sister were so messy haha

11:08 Mine always did as well, go to gel nails and get active length!!!! Gel nails have never fallen off.
You should try dip powder it’s healthier for your nails and lasts longer
My nails used to chip off all the time! I switched to dip powder and did an extra layer of the base coat and now they last me at least a month!

Try builder gel I have very oily nail beds and I started using builder gel and it’s amazing and haven’t lost any.
Jess, I feel your pain. My husband is an only child. It is a big pain in the butt. He's sixty one now. I fully believe that a lot of people believed this with me. When men get to be fourteen, they don't mature past that. My husband is living proof. And no, he doesn't share.
Our last home had a jack and Jill bath. It was great. It had sinks in one area and another area was the toilet and shower behind another door. It was really awesome. I wish I had it in my new home.
My mom had 10 siblings and my dad was only child. They had 11 kids. All natural and birth children.
I always mess up my press ons from digging in my jean pockets. I add one drop of kiss glue now, and it helps a lot.

If it's gel polish, it's likely the oils on your skin/nails that make them peel off so quickly.

Maybe go to a new nails salon. I always get gel and they never peel off. Maybe they’re not curing it long enough.
Your nail tech should be using a nail dehydrator. It gets rid of your oily nail beds.

Ok my nails come off too and its because I have oily nail beds! So that is probably why they don't stay on!
I have probably had a bunch of foster siblings, 2 full blooded siblings, 5 half sisters, 2 adopted brothers (I was the one who was adopted), and 7+ step siblings my adopted dad was married 5 times and my birth father was married 5 times my birth mom was married 4 times and my adopted mom was only married twice and all one of my adopted dads wife’s had kids and my adopted moms second husband also had no kids plus all of my birth dads wife’s that had kids before they married him and I don’t know about my birth moms second husband
11:29 my nails also always comes off so I make sure I ask them to make them a lil bit thick with the acrylic. When I do that they always stay on til the next set

I find it’s the shape of the nail that makes it come off I’m very rough on my hands and the last time I went to go get them done it stayed on for weeks and I was shocked 😳 ❤ and I always always get gel nails

I use floss as well when I need to take off my nails. Great minds think alike 😂
When you do your nails with a fake nails, make sure you file your real nail really good before and make sure they're clean from the dust from filing and then put the glue they last longer
My mom was an only child and my dad had an older half brother. They then proceeded to have 9 kids, 20 grandkids, 18 great grandkids ( if I counted correctly) and 2 great great grandkids.
My personal thoughts on advent calendars 1-24 count us to Christmas Eve 1-12 start on Christmas one each day for the 12 days of Christmas. 🤷🏼♀️
The reason is cause you use your nails too much to open things and do things. So you’ll usually use your pointer finger, middle finger, and your thumb nail rather than the ring and pinky. I work at an optical place so I have a had habit of using my nails to protect when fixing glasses but then they break a lot. I’ve been trying to be better cause its expensive but I’m allergic to nail products so I have to get dip done.
If you go back to a salon ask them to double dehydrate your nails. Usually prep is key but if you use them as tool (like picking or opening things etc) then that’s more than likely why. Also the floss picks are so much easier to use for removing nails if you want to use floss haha def not good for your nails though.

I can never get my nails done I prefer my nails being natural. Also I can’t do anything if I got nails done. The only time I got my nails done was when I went to prom.

Change to gel nails instead of SNS (dip powder) or acrylic. Gel is soooo much better!

I have a half sister, half brother passed away when he was 22. But then had two step sisters dad divorced their mum and then got remarried so now i have step brother and step sister 😂 but technically im an only child on my dad side but not my mum side

I don't do acrylic nails i do the nail dip....they last me a good 3 weeks or so i just ask the nail tech to make them thick so they wont crack on me.
Raised an only child by a single mother, went on to marry and have 5 children of my own. I crave alone time, and will often lock myself in the bathroom to get it 🙈 I love my kids so much, but it is a crazy different world being alone to being married with 5 kids.

I always have BIAB nails. My natural nails look like false nails, BIAB makes them very strong and long. I'm UK so may be called something diff over there.

Both my parents are only children yet my dad married my mom when she had 3 kids and then they had two more 😂 and then my dad married my step mom who had 3 kids 😂 15 grand kids and numerous Grands later it’s quite funny and I’m not counting the step grands.
