John Schiarra wasn’t drafted until the fourth round- And then as a Safety. College and NFL offenses were very different then. Most of the top college programs were run oriented- Many running the wishbone or the Veer. The best QB prospects often came from lesser known teams.
Scouts didn’t get caught up in the hype. Funny how Muncie and Bell were both number one picks instead of Griffin. Muncie was the best player in America that year.
The Selmons were awesome
Rest in Peace to Chuck Muncie from Cal, an exciting NFL running back.
Chuck did it all for San Diego, running, blocking and receiving, all with glasses!
Poor Ricky Bell. Gone way too soon.
My thoughts exactly. So sad. RIP
Great football player. Died far too young.
The Selmons and Jimbo Elrod from the University of Oklahoma. Three of the greatest to ever play for the Sooners.
All of the Big Ten fight songs. Love it!!
archie griffin is a humble man ,a great man ,champions come thru ohio
The shoulder pads are huge and the players all look older then 22/23
John led ucla to a rose bowl win over Ohio State 75 fantatic acomplishment.
John Sciarra and Archie Griffin were shorter than Bob Hope.
Always looked for to this

Yes. Archie Griffin was terrible in the NFL.
archie griffin was too small
for the pounding of the NFL;
however, he had a decent
career with the Bengals.
@ I don’t recall him achieving much with Cincinnati.
I thought Tony Dorsett was on this team, 1975 AP AA
Ricky Bell should have won a Heisman.
Leroy Selmon. Hall of fame. Archie Griffen 2 Hiesmans , no hall
Archie had subpar NFL career ,selman was a beast , it's pro football Hall of fame
He is in every HOF except the pro, where he never starred … and wasn’t picked until 24
Look at how small these players are. No size at all.
John Sorry-QB. -UCLA
Sorry about no career...
Played several years for the Eagles. He also played in Super Bowl XV.
John Sciarra
At least he didn't win two Heismans in college.
