mk1 guys let alone pre mk6 owners won't spend that kind of money, especially for something non VAG powertrain/drivetrain wise.

I feel like the reason you guys don’t have subs is cuz you don’t really show anything after they’re done. Like build something and take it to the track and launch it hard!! Y’all build all these cars and they’re never seen again.
These car are customer cars. After they leave the shop, we are not there to record anything afterward. You are more then welcome to follow them and see what them do with them. There IG name are posted most of the time on the video.

What if you reverse the rear forks would it make rear suspension straight up and down?😊
Look carefully the Fork/CoilOver setup has to be in that exact position reversing the fork would defeat the purpose

I'm concerned that the rear trailing arms are mounted too low in the chassis. To me it looks like you will end up with bad geometry and bad ground clearance. Or you will have to make the ride height really high. I hope iam wrong! But regardless, keep up the good work and keep pumping out these mad awd k swaps
Thr trailing arms are the same height because the use the stock MK1 mounting location. The AWD system are actually pretty high up. Even higher then the Civic/Integra.
The Geometry is prefect💪 We took all that into consideration. That why we made some changes.

ok yes no... i am a huge vdub guy and will always own vdubs, but haldex is trash compared to the honda awd set up. simple and bullet proof. its a beast haldex is a pain in the ass and unless its the newest gen its meh.
@@jagu420 trash, no, that is false. Gen1 is dumb and yet can hold power. gen2/3 are meh, gen4 haldex is awesome, but the gen5 is a closed systems, and while lighter and can hold stupid amount sof power, they are prone to simple maintenance failures. the new Gen6 unit is not very tested in the vw configuration, but, is pretty great in other brand configs, not to mention, they are in a lot of fucking cars are everywhere in junk yards(gen5 and 6 haldex)

Hello there,I'm planning on doing a mk1 awd myself ,would those mounting kits work work with the diff and subframe off the passat b6 which I used as donor car?.Your response would be of much help, thank you.
no. they are using a honda engine, trans and rear end. also the b6 passat is a quattro longitudinal setup, which is very different from the transverse awd cars int eh VAG world.
This is an awesome project. I’ve been wanting to get my Mk1 Cabriolet Awd swapped when I get a vr6 into it. Are y’all selling those parts as a kit ?
won'r work unless you get a custom driveshaft made for the honda rear diff and the vw trans you are using
True. But I reckon if I’m gonna have to make custom drive shafts for the front ants Could probably make a Honda vw hybrid shaft. Or have one made
@@zanderbrand1319 you don't need to have anything made if you stay vw as far as driveshafts and axles. YOu do what VAg does and put pieces together. And people like me who do it, have made many threads on the vortex and in multiple Fb groups of what to do and cost less
