I mean, I'd take a B side Human, B side Symbolic, B side everything. I'll even take the C, D, E and F sides, bring it. It's not a rip off, it's a tribute and a pretty damn good one at that. I love it. I love this band.

When a hero and legend dies his DEATH is not his/her end; Chuck and Death clearly inspired many excellent bands; including this one. Extremely similar to Spiritual Healing in many good ways. Great album, really brings the SPIRIT OF DEATH back to LIFE :) Top work Gentlemen :)
Really took it back to the early 90s heavy guitar playing again,good! Nobody really doing anything cool much anymore and it’s cool as fuck to hear somebody switch back and forth between leads and really go back to shred shit

My thoughts exactly, lol. Spiritual Healing is one of my top 5 albums of all time :) Chuck was one amazing writer and we really saw him progress as an individual and as a writer as he grew, truly inspiring character that created timeless metal from the start. There would be no Death metal without Death; nothing like them at the start, Scream Bloody Gore and Leprosy set benchmarks. Total fan myself for 30+ years lol.
I got this when it first came out. I had heard of it from here on the tube. Great band. One more thing, my copy has The Exorcist (Possessed Cover) on it.
If this band wanted to be reminiscent of the late, immortal DEATH, they succeeded! And now I've realised that the cover is reminiscent of Spiritual Healing heheh Very good work, southern brazilian hails
every second "new wave of old school thrash" imitates the big 4, every second atmospheric and occult black metal imitates Deathspell omega and Drudkh, every second raw black metal band imitates darkthrone, every second death metal band imitates Dismember and Entombed. Gruesome went on to make a new Death catalog, with the same style, but its not a rip off, its a tribute, like Bloodbath was a tribute to the whole Swedish death metal scene. Death will not record another album, so why not enjoy Gruesome?
Have the stained glass window copy and it sounds great. Also loving my long sleeve cover art shirt. Hoping to catch these guys (and gal) on a U.S. tour sometime!
I completely agree with all comments, now is it good or bad that is it like death? I personally don't like the copy - paste in music. These guys are good performers, good musicians create dont replicate :)

This is amazing, the drum sounds are pretty much identical to spiritual healing, all the mannerisms are spot on. On paper I shoudn't like this operation but in reality is so well done I love it.
To me Chuck is playing those guitars, tributes and skills get no better than this. Excellent works Gruesome, better than excellent in fact; exalting is a better word. Keep UTGW.
