The new GM-6900 G-Shock lineup from Casio is pretty sweet. Casio is commemorating the 25th anniversary of the iconic DW-6900 by creating a new lineup of G-Shocks with stainless-steel metal bezels.
There are three variants of this metal-covered, shock-resistant watch: gold, red, and silver. All three feature a metal covering over a glass fiber reinforced resin case. The metal bezel is forged and molded forming a perfect fit over the case. You get the iconic, metal front button, a mirrored triple graph dial at the top, and a bright, electroluminescent backlight.
Check out this quick review of the red version, the GM-6900B-4. This special model features a red, translucent band with quick release mechanisms which is really nice. These go on sale this Friday, February 14th for about $220 but you can find some of them online now using the Ebay links below.

That translucent band always remind me of technology from the late 90's, like Mac computers or Nintendo 64 controllers.

To my surprise, my local G-Shock AD called me this morning to tell me that they had just received a few of each version. I picked up the silver on black strap. I was blown away by the build quality and added heft. Among all the high end G-Shock’s that I own, the basic 6900 is my all time fav and form the moment they announced a steel bezel version, I was sold. I honestly like it more than the steel/rubber GMWB-5000. Casio is killing it lately!!!

Appreciate the video. I would like to ask,will we be able to incorporate the same strap 16 mm/22mm adapter from the basic DW5600 into the GM6900.
I am thinking of buying a GM6900 but change the strap into leather or nato strap
casing almost looks like Black chrome ,, so nice
weird they didn't make the special edition based on the solar/MB6 version of the 6900.
A quick question, how does the quick release of the band does? I couldnt figure it out how yoh detach the band. Can help on this? Much appreciated and cool vids
There's a spring bar embedded in the band. You still need a little tool to move the bar but it stays in place. Hope that helps.

Hmm can't remember but there's usually a DST setting when you set the time. ON or OFF.

Very cool watch, but thats alot of shiny plastic compared to small screen size. Thats why I prefer G squares and vintage casios they are more balanced.

200€ sono troppi per questo orologio,la vecchia casio era migliore.
The only reason I hate this watch is because half of the face is taken up by circles which are useless. This is no exception. Also, the stopwatch can measure 1/100th of a second.
