    2022, and this is still the BEST review on WiFi adapters on the internet! After days of research on the subject I can say this confidently. Thanks for the comparison charts and special thanks for the explanation on the chips (AX200/AX210) and WiFi 6/6E support. This was new to me. While this information is of paramount importance for making a cogent consumer decision, it is not being advertised by the manufacturers and resellers. Thanks to Mike, now I know exactly what to look for in the specifications to match my expectations and needs. Also, listening to your calm voice and polite and sophisticated manner of speaking was a joy. Subscribed :-)

    thanks for sharing
    But there is a problem with this test
    ax200 supports WIFI6 standard
    Does your wireless router support 160HZ?
    I don’t think these AX200s have achieved the network speed they should have.
    In theory, these wireless network cards can reach 1000MB/s

      My access points do support 160 however I did not set it as it is not a default. This test was to compare rather than to see max speed. Great point though. Thanks.

    I question why you would give the advice not to get the AX210 chipset. Why wouldn't you want to be ready for 6E even if you may not currently have 6E? Seems silly not to future proof yourself vs have to buy yet another adapter when you need or want 6E.

    What is the difference between AX210 and AXE3000H ?? I bought a MPE-AXE3000H laptop card on Amazon, and installed it, loaded the drivers from intel's website and it appears in the device manager as "Intel Wifi 6E AX-210 160 mhz". What is the difference between AX210 and AXE3000H ??

  • @wolvechen750
    @wolvechen750 3 роки тому +8

    1. The difference between AX200 and AX210:
    AX200 - WIFI6 with 2.4 and 5GHz
    AX210 - WIFI6E with 2.4, 5 and 6GHz
    Both cards got BT 5.2.
    2. Using your ISP connection for testing the speed of this cards is absurd. Since the cards reach speeds of 2-6 Gigabit and your ISP is not even close to getting there.

      Hard to say exactly as it could be several things, but I would download the latest driver directly from intel, delete the old drivers and remove the card from the device manager. I did not witness either of these conditions. As you know Wi-Fi in general can be temperamental. On desktops, locking it to a a specific band like 5Mhz really helps as well tuning you channels. Many people have issues with there Wi-Fi setups and blame the cards.

      That certainly is not normal. Just to rule things out have you tried a different slot in your PC? Also, make sure you have disabled the original USB adapter. What kind of access point are you connecting to. If not of that works, I would send the card back. That is simply not good enough speeds.

Wifi 6 is only faster at 5Ghz so if you end up connecting at 2.4Ghz there will not be much of a speed gain. It has a lot to do with house construction.
