I agree! It just seems like it would of been fairly easy to solve. But it really gives me the creeps. The question I have is……if it was personal then the killer could of waited outside in the dark and shot from a distance, then fled. Why dress up in a burdensome costume, start out at a different side of the building, then just casually walk from room to room, way before it was time for exercise class. It seems more like Missy surprised this person at such an early hour and he killed her. He had a gun and I guess a knife so he was armed and dangerous. I wouldn’t think if he knew what time the class started and a fair amount of people would be right behind Missy, that he would chance it time wise. It’s so crazy.

This murder happened even closer to us here in Texas than what Janet Mosier mentions below. I am certain this was a targeted killing, and I am shocked that especially with a $150,000.00 reward that no viable suspects have been turned in. This simply cannot become an unsolved cold case! I think a nosey, scorned wife went thru her man's phone and saw messages between her hubby and this victim. Women who are cheated on often check social media for the other woman to learn about her and where she would be. Plus, the attack was personal and planned down to the detail... She probably wore police gear so the victim would be less likely to fight back. And maybe it was an attempt to perform an "arrest" to bind her arms, or even take her elsewhere under false pretense. And the height makes it more likely too. It's possible that at one point, she may have planned to use her hubby's police gear to set him up for revenge as well. Like get blood on it then call it in like she found it.

    Thanks for the recap!
I've looked at this case quite a bit. I've even written a book, but I don't know how to get the book published. If you know of a true crime publisher or literary agent, I'd love to make contact with that person or company.
A few things are worth noting.
Technically, Mrs. Bevers didn't go into the church through the front door. The main front door of the church faces the highway. On the south side of the church is another door with a drive-up awning. She parked under the awning and entered through that door. Different people and places have reported different locations for her body. A few have said that she was found near the awning door, but that report is almost certainly wrong. At one time, many people said that she was found in the foyer near the main entrance. Another theory is that she was at the northwest corner of that hallway, about sixty yards from where she entered the church. The police have told the family that she was just inside the classroom in the far northwest corner of the church, again about sixty yards from where she entered the church.
The official class began at five o'clock in the morning, but she held an "early bird" session starting at four-thirty for people who needed to start earlier and leave earlier. Two women regularly came to the early-bird session, and a man who had never been to the class was scheduled to come to the early-bird session that morning. If someone was planning to kill her and had studied her movements closely, that person would know that he/she/it would have at most fifteen minutes to complete the crime before others arrived on the scene. If the weather had delayed her a little bit and one of the "early bird" students arrived early, someone planning to kill her might have only a few minutes to commit the murder and escape the area.
Rain was more than forecast. Rain had been falling hard all night and was still falling when she arrived. I've never been in the church, so I don't know how loud rain would be on the roof. Depending on how well the roof was insulated, any sounds of someone else in the church might have been masked by rain hitting the roof.
We don't know whether the parking lot was empty when she arrived. She would normally pull into the driveway and drive across the front of the church. She would pull around on the south corner of the church and under the awning. A car parked behind the church would not be visible to her, and most people believe that the killer's car was parked behind the church.
Two doors into the church were seriously damaged. One door led to the church kitchen, and a narrow window had been broken out of that door as if someone had broken the window and then reached inside to unlock the door. That door led to a small entryway where deliveries could be made to the kitchen, and a door from that entryway went into the kitchen. That second door was supposed to be locked at all times, but no one has said whether that door was locked that night or showed any damage from having been forced. The other door that was broken was an all-glass door at the northeastern corner of the church. This would have been a normal entry door for people who parked behind the church. Most rumors say that the first appearance of the killer was in the doorway of the cafeteria which was connected to the kitchen. If the intruder broke into the northeastern door, the first appearance of the killer would have been on a surveillance camera as he/she/it approached the kitchen or cafeteria. If the first appearance of the intruder is of the intruder leaving the kitchen or cafeteria, a kitchen door break-in is more likely.
The other fitness instructor and his wife were investigated thoroughly. While no one has been ruled out officially, many people believe that he and his wife are innocent. Many others still believe that he is guilty. The people who believe in using astrology to solve crimes put him at the top of their suspect list. For those who accuse him, the favorite motive is that he wanted to poach her students to his class. He also teaches female self-defense, and his accusers claim that he killed Mrs. Bevers to increase demand for his female self-defense classes. I'm not close to the area or to the people involved, but I find these accusations to be silly. I don't know whether he is the martial arts teacher that you referenced. Other rumors have suggested that Mrs. Bevers was talking to several people involved in MMA, so maybe you were referencing someone else when you mentioned a martial arts teacher.
No one knows whether the intruder knew that he/she/it was under surveillance inside the church. Most of us feel that the person driving through the SWFA parking lot had to know that he/she was under surveillance. SWFA made abundantly clear that surveillance cameras were all over the parking lot. That someone would drive through a parking lot full of surveillance cameras two hours before and a third of a mile away from a scene where he/she was going to commit a murder seems very stupid. That someone that stupid would get away with a murder for seven years feels unlikely.
The local rumor mills have picked other people to target as suspects. No one has any credible evidence against any of these people. Many of the accusers come across as people who never matured beyond high school and are just picking on these targets because accusing someone of murdering Mrs. Bevers is an easy way for shallow people to attack a hated rival. While one accuser also accuses Mrs. Bevers of having an affair with a target's husband, there is zero evidence for the affair. Instead of the silly motives ascribed to the other fitness and self-defense instructor, this target of accusation would have no motive to commit this crime.
I don't expect you to have covered any of these points. You can't do that and cover "all the crime in half the time."
In my book, I don't name a suspect or imply a suspect. I only try to analyze strengths and weaknesses of the most popular theories.

      @VTPSTTU Рік тому +4

@@JohnJohn-jn2cb I found your comment. Thanks for your reply.
I've heard the opposite. I've heard that police have some additional surveillance video including video recorded after the murder. Many people want the police to release the additional video. Off the top of my head, I can only remember one real reference to this video. That reference is from a podiatrist that they consulted to try to match the intruder's gait to the gaits of different persons of interest. The podiatrist has said that he was shown additional video that the public hasn't seen. Otherwise, I'll admit that I don't remember anyone on the inside of the investigation making a public statement verifying the existence of additional video.
At this point, I don't think that they have released footage of the time after the murder for a couple of reasons. One is that they believe that this video will cause more pain to the family. Seeing the killer with the victim's blood on his/her/its clothing would be distressing. Another possibility is that the video isn't that helpful.
The cameras were positioned at the southwest and northeast corners of the the church. In some ways, the church really sits on more of a diagonal with the "northeast" corner pointing north, but most people refer to this corner as the northeast corner. One of the cameras in the northeast corner seems to point down the eastern hallway of the church but doesn't cover that hallway well. The other camera in this corner points along the north hallway. This camera captured the intruder coming out of the cafeteria door. One camera in the southeast corner of the church points along the front entrance hallway of the church. This hallway is sometimes called the west hallway. The other camera in the southeast corner points along the south hallway. This is the camera that shows the intruder opening the Dutch doors.
The camera in the southeast corner that was pointed along the front hallway should have captured some video of the murderer after the murder. If the attack happened in the main entrance foyer, this person would have had to run about thirty yards along the main entrance hallway to leave the scene. If Mrs. Bevers was killed in that northwest corner of the church, then this camera might have captured most of the murder, but the murder would have been at the far end of the camera's field of view. Everything would have been small and potentially blurry. Maybe that footage wouldn't help.
The camera in the northeast corner that was pointing along the north hallway (which had the kitchen and cafeteria doors) should have caught the killer approaching the camera as the killer escaped. Even this point is open to some question. If the killer left through the northeast door, then the killer would have passed directly under this camera. If the killer went into the kitchen and escaped the church through the kitchen door, then this camera would have caught the killer only briefly when he/she/it was in that hallway just before going into the kitchen. If that's the case, maybe the footage after the murder shows very little.

Hello. Nancy Grace did a story 2 days ago about the Missy Bever case that’s been unsolved for years. In the video we watched the murderer searching for her early at 4:00 am. We noted his strange walking gait and body image.
A commenter of the video asked us to search on YT for “Randy Bever’s walk”. It is very clear Missy’s father in law Randy is the person who murdered Missy. The cops claimed he had an alibi and he’s not a suspect. However we saw it with our own eyes that it’s clearly Randy Bever who walked strangely like the murderer along with how the arms swung and with the same body shape.
The police failed to solve this case. Could have been bribed. The police have also shared secret info with Web Sleuth that help promote lies it wasn’t Randy.
Wearing a police officer swat garment was a communication of some sort not to be overlooked

AJ and Courtney Tucker killed Missy. Courtney is the distraction for the cameras doing a ****ty job trying to make it look like a burglary gone wrong. AJ is the one who is waiting in the dark at the entrance he knows she will enter. The helmet is a motorcycle helmet that has a Bluetooth communication system in it. I found the identical one online. This is why Courtney never checks the time. She is waiting for AJ to tell her when it's over. She is also in the Nissan at the SWFA store. She signals him with her headlights. He is at the church breaking in and she is watching from the highway to make sure no one is alerted of the break in. I have a screenshot of that identical car right behind AJ in a parking lot where he was doing a class. The full car is visible with a side view from his Facebook. Courtney is the same height and build. She also broke her right ankle so bad it required surgery a while before the murder and she still had a limp. AJ was in the army, he knows how to pull off a secret mission. He is on an FBI watchlist now. He constantly uses news reports of women getting attacked to specifically drum up business for his self defence classes, but never once mentions Missy's attack and murder. He even mentions a different partners murder and suicide by her husband but never a peep about Missy. He placed himself in Midlothian early that morning for a class on Facebook. His garbage was stolen by police right after the murders. He talks about this on Facebook, I have screenshots. They did this without phones because they had radios. Police don't have enough to convince a prosecutor to charge them.

I don't know about everybody else but if I'm having money problems I don't I'm going deep sea fishing! Unless I know I'm getting paid pretty soon! It's very convenient that husband and daddy both have alibis! Too convenient! How often does he go fishing or the father-in-law go on golf trips? First of all why even think the father-in-law would do this? Is there was bad blood between them or what? Does he have connections with some bad folks?
Think about this, they had a gun, possibly a knife and an F'ing hammer! Why the hammer? If they are there to rob the place, why the gun? They are in police uniform, again why the hammer? They are in u inform for a reason, then why kill her? Cause that's what they were there for, for whatever reason!

That is someone who doesn't wear shoes often. A sandal person or a slip on shoe type. They are pulling their heels in when walking. Has nothing to do with the strange gait but I can tell That's a sandal person.

I always stated it was someone that knew her. She was a special ad teacher, I believe that it was one of her former students or their parent. This person was dressed like they were into gaming. That whole get up was like someone will wear at a Star Wars or Star Trek convention, or at a gaming convention.

This is an interesting thought for sure. The walk is very “goofy” and maybe is the walk of someone who isn’t quite all there

Freeze the video at 8:03. Has anyone noticed that it appears there are 2 people in that Nissan? I don't know if that has been discussed before or not. Could be an illusion, but what looks appears like a person in the drivers seat (which we know exists) has the same appearance to that person's right.

Why can’t they narrow the person’s height down to a more finite number? Can’t they use the doors as a benchmark?

Probably because of the helmet, there are so many helmets manufactured for different uses that unless they narrowed it down to a specific model and size it would just be a guess of how many inches it would add. Plus it could be a larger size than the person needs. I've also wondered if the boots aren't in a larger size than they normally wear and that was the cause of the weird gait. But I'm just guessing on all of this.

Its obvious she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. So they didn't take her ring. They probably didn't plan to take her out she just surprised him and they started fighting her. Same guy who was at the sporting goods store. Looking for places to break into.
