I can’t believe this. I spent the last 6 years watching these, and I never knew they were a piece of history. I could have recorded myself with one of them just before the end.
Denis Gauthier lol I prefer the newer streetcar.. if you think about it, in 2040 there probably gonna change the streetcar again and people are gonna say the same thing what you just said lol.
it will be a little more affordable since the new streetcars are basically a free ride - just sit near the Presto reader so you can tap right away whenever you see a fare inspector about to hop on. Otherwise you get to ride free like the kiddos.
I came in Toronto with that streetcar, its beautiful. The smell, and until now, those white sand, what is it for? It will be missed, part of Toronto history now. On a positive note, the new Streetcars are accessible to Person with Disability and bigger capacity.
Sometimes along college I rode the old streetcar to work. I miss them so much. Along at.clair use to have them and it change to all new street car miss them alot
Well I guess it’s a transition for the next set of street cars entering Toronto transit system is the fact that these trams are excellent well the seats look comfortable we really like to bring them back just for a special occasion or anytime
Now Fare Evasion can hit record levels as people hop on the new low floor and rear board streetcars on every single Downtown route. Great work TTC and Metrolinx I am so thankful living in the suburbs paying my higher property taxes and rising TTC fares to ride the bus to support your pet projects downtown you know fancy street cars and rail deck parks.
Idk, after watching the old people struggle with boarding and exiting, the new low floor vehicles are welcoming. The old ones belong in a museum or heritage line.
Yeah, what’s the point? They say they don’t care about the money, and it’s about the customers, the customers don’t WANT the new streetcars, yet, they are still being hungry for money.
As much as I loved the CLRV's & ALRV's to say that customers don't want new streetcars is flat out false. The fact of the matter is these were wheelchair accessible and weren't convenient for people with strollers, disabilities, or scooters.
Well they were getting old and unreliable, especially the last couple winters. And parts are nearly impossible to find. Plus not fully accessible, not even kneeling like later high floor buses. But the new ones are garbage, uncomfortable, and already having issues with welds.

Toronto will never be the same without it 😢😢

@@franki3Ru550 they should tear the tracks next time and run electric double decker buses everywhere like the UK.

I still want the old Streetcar:(

When I was young we were still riding the PCC trams. I miss them too!

The white sand! Oh man I forgot getting that stuff stuck in my shoes, I think it was to absorb moisture.

Glad to have rode on them three years ago when travelling up from NYC on summer holiday.

I don’t get how they’re gone because it’s very quick for me to spot them near the Spadina area I think

2:14 that’s true. I’m not going to miss that smell 🤢
i rode them on its last year without knowing
Should sell most to Egypt they bought many 30 years ago the TTC can offer a good deal including parts much more thought than sending to Hamilton
Egypt's systems shut down almost 30 years ago
I wonder what they will be replaced with
The Flexity cars that have been entering service since 2014
You miss the smell and the streetcars of the old Streetcar I will miss if they were they just made a lot of money for that I think😭➡️😭
rip
I am LRVT technician and old one is way better than new cars.

Stop saying bad words about the old streetcar they spend money so
so discard something that works and buy a new model. so financially responsible....

Big spenders in Toronto must have cost over one million dollars each
These ones run a lot better than the new ones. And if it stinks you can actually open the window.
Good... now fix all the roads....

Smelled like a dirty locker room. I'm glad it is gone.
