“If I write it they aren’t going to say no.” - well said sir
Disney would definitely not be bidding 😅
He didn’t say that
Exactly.
You must be quoting yourself because he didn’t say that
@@Hoboscouts he basically said that exact same thing. I didn’t play it back to ensure accuracy of every word… but he definitely said that
the opening of Inglorious Basterds is one of the best openings in moviehistory, let alone of the best scenes ever made. the tension is incredibly built through camerawork, acting, music, cinematography and its direction is incredible.
Edit: forgot to mentione the writing.
And the language play between English and French 👌 superb
It is THE best opening scene in movie history.
I'm surprised Tarantino was surprised that Spaghetti Western soundtracks are much easier to find in Japan than USA. Those movies, even the minor ones, were huge box office hits there and most of the non-English speaking world.
The Japanese didn't care much for John Wayne but sure they cared (and still do) for Clint Eastwood, Giuliano Gemma, Lee Van Cleef and Franco Nero.
I think that's true that listening to music brings scenes into your mind don't know why
It’s absolutely true, for me at least. Obviously not everyone will feel the same.
Tarantino is absolutely an absolutely fascinating human being to me. I could listen to him talk about his passion for movies and film making and his process for days.
Django is a masterpiece!! 🎥
Yes. The 1966 movie
Both were great
As always, Tarantino's simplest answers are the best.
"Cynics" nowadays always crow: "Today, Mel Brooks couldn't do this; today, Mel Brooks couldn't do that..."
Of course he could; he's MEL BROOKS. :D
He wrote an entire script while pedaling at the same time???!!!... that's amazing!!
Honestly it might be good for thinking.
Hands down, best Richard Kind impersonation ever. Quentin always nails it !
ha
Tarantino is Richard Kind amped up to 1.75x speed
I love Django Unchained. Its one of my favourite films that I love so much.
Inglorious Bastards intro scene was most intense ever
"Because it's so much fun Jan!! Get It!!!"
I love that so much, I come back to it once in a while.
Stephan is one of Samuel L Jackson's best roles. And he has had a lot of good roles.
I could imagine figurative he's running out of that store with all those CD's and can't wait for listen to them all. 😅 You did a great job Quentin, not only with Django, everyone is a masterpiece!
Love all his movies
Fascinating story! I could listen to him talking about catching a bus.
:) Plus you know he could direct the hell out of a sequence of somebody catching a bus.
Tarantino is an all time great in his prime. We are super lucky given how accessible he is.
Probably my fav Tarantino film
My favorite movie of all time! : )
Best opening scene of all time is still inglorious basterds it had masterful dialogue
Pulp Fiction.
That one immediately set me to the mood of the movie and I couldn't get out of my chair (being watching it on my ipad) until I finished the whole movie 😍😍😍. As said Brad Pitt in the final scene "that might be my new masterpiece"
Much love to Quentin 🔥💯
Django is my favourite movie of all time
QT: *about to reveal how the scene came to him*
HS: let's talk about the notepad
tarantino and stern, two legends
Favorite Tarantino flick...
Django is one of my favorite movies ever
Django was amazing
Yes. The 1966 movie
Somewhere a PA has a story about running around Tokyo trying to find a record player for the QT. I'd do it.
what can I say Quentin is A God great director I'm a huge huge fan in fact I have all 4 from Resevoir Dogs to Jackie brown on both DVD and VHS. I own all the movies but the original are really important to me. I can remember being 13 and watching all the VHS.
I really really want Tarantino to make a movie version of the story in the Beastie Boys song "Paul Revere"
I think he got the idea from the 'Catcher Freeman' episode of The Boondocks.
My favorite movie by far I always watch it surround sound blasting 👌
The movie is 98% dialogue 😂
Tarantino hit the sweet spot with Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained
Relly cool movie I love it
Love Quentin’s attitude on the critics
If films don’t start a conversation, then they won’t last long. They’ll b an afterthought. Here today, forgotten tmrrw. 😆
Yup. No one's talking about the Care Bears movie.
Stern interviews are the best
There's a way older movie called Django, I also think he used part of the Kashmir song for an inglorious bastards scene.
A top 10 all time film imo.
I think I’ve watch Django 10 times, it’s funny as F
How do you find the full interview
I have 5 movies I will admit I have bought on UA-cam, so to have them on me/my account. 2 of the movies are from Quintin..
Thank you❤🌹🙏
Tarantino is such a freaking legend
no fucks givin thats why his movies are dope lol
My favorite love story lol 😂
Howard Stern is a powerful individual
such an irritating individual
anyone know the name of the store he's talking about?
Really wish we got that Django Zorro movie.
Full show???
He Got the idea from the countless Django movie's made in the 70,s. It's not his creation or from his imagination.
'66 actually. It's a pretty gorgeous film
Don't tell kanye West this 🤣
@@christiangarvin7351 😆lol 👍
The 1966 Django movie is awesome
Yea no shit. He even had the original django do a cameo
Stationery* Does Sal do these titles?
As far as writing goes, It's Pat, no doubt
Balls and Shoulders.
Wondering what CDs he bought
So Howard Stern likes stationery 😀
Nobody says no to QT
People have been saying "I bet you couldn't do 'x', 'y', or 'z' today" for as long as I can remember and I seldom, if ever, remember it being true.
Tarantino for President
Maybe tone down the light thats blinding the guests in the studio 😁
Django is his best movie. Prove me wrong.
This was probably after that meeting with Ye..lol
Where they started developing the movie KANYE UNMEDICATED.
The writing book is that's on the suitcase
Stationery
He knows he’s untouchable 😂
Kanye West said it was his idea haha
In 1822 Nat Turner killed the slave master and led all the slaves on a rebellion.
Spaghetti western soundtracks sold in a store in Tokyo, but not accessible in the US...??? Why does Japan always get to have the cool stuff? But hey, at least it's good to know that Japanese there also loves western
Hotels are usually stationary
Quentin are you sure "Ye" wasn't there with you carrying the CDs at Japan!!???
*stationery
what studio would say *NO* these days if Quentin Tarantino comes over & wants to do something?!
That it was discussed back then if in a movie portrait this era to be ok or not saying the Nword is still rediculous.
*ridiculous
WTF Django is absolutely politically correct, it’s a plea against slavery 😅
tbh pretty wild that stern thought django would not be fine today why exactly it a movie about getting revenge on plantation owners with 'the power of love' but that of slaves themselves.
THIS 2:43
Wrong spelling Stationary ======> stationery
He wrote it on hotel stationery, not stationary.
Catcher Freeman
2:38
Stationery*
Django/Zorro
stationery*
“Is it a special kind of paper?” what a ridiculous question.
He used to be a great interviewer. Not anymore.
Springsteen and Stern on HBO haha really
We need Quentin’s last film to safe the industry from the woke epoch.
Marvel is the enemy
Howard interrupts too much.
not sure what a "badthinkpiece" is.
poggers
That's something I've noticed about Tarantino's movies while they are good A lot of them are just remakes they're not original ideas!
Howard lost his luster.
Kanye west said that was his idea
I don't know why but I prefer the hateful 8 more than Django
That's not how you spell "stationery".
I thought Kanye came up with Django
After copying the idea from Kayne.
What now Kanye?
Everyone knows Ye wrote Django...
Somebody should introduce Quinten Tarantino to online shopping. I understand you can find just about anything there.
