- Lesley Marin reports from Manhattan Beach on an Uber Eats driver who was unexpectedly thrust into the spotlight after the rapper Snoop Dogg complained to his 4 million Instagram followers about his order not showing up to an address in an industrial area of Inglewood. The driver's name, photo and license plate were shown in the post.

I’ve talked to many Uber drivers who’ve said the same thing, Uber does nothing to protect the drivers. It’s customers can lie saying the food never came, driver was drunk, anything and it’s always the customer who’s assumed to be telling the truth and the driver at fault. Great way to keep drivers.
Uber needs a legal department for the drivers, but they dont care
"Customer is always right" is the
Motto for Business
drivers should wear a gopro for their safety
I've never used his food delivery, grub hub and Doordarshan are always good folks. Never problems with the drivers but the restaurants more than once have canceled an order when the driver was at the restaurant
I’m so sick of celebrities and rich people being bullies and harassing hardworking people. Lost an enormous amount of respect for snoop dog not that I thought much of him before
ive been lost respect for him.. hes a puppet... and hes GF is martha stewart..
Regardless who is the celebrity. The ubereats driver obviously did not care for his customer. I’m tired of lazy delivery guys.
@@strawb1793 Why would you care about the customer? In my experience the customer doesn't give a damn about you so who gives a damn about them. Your incentivized to put the minimum amount of effort to get paid. You think he's going to get a raise for going above and beyond at Uber? Maybe he will get the $8 tip instead of the $6 tip. Big whoop.
@@strawb1793 what are you talking about about that man clearly went beyond the call for that delivery he called snoop multiple times waited for that man 8mintues. and he never showed up. I'm sure that man put the food somewhere safe, and snoop was too high up his ass to find it.
I lost respect for Snoop over the 100 other nasty things he's done over the years, he will always be a POS.
As a private more introverted person, I think it’s actually violating when people record and post videos of you on the internet that has detailed personal information about yourself
100% I'm an introvert and struggle with bad anxiety and would not be okay with that either, so I completely understand his frustration.
It IS violating. It ain’t an opinion
But why is he on camera himself, instead of trying to resolve with less public exposure??
I am an introvert but it’s a small blurry image of someone’s face with the first name. I can understand the stress but snoop isn’t banging like that anymore and even if a crazed fan took this seriously I don’t think they’d even be able to tell who the driver was from that video alone. In fact getting on the news about it only draws more attention. The Uber driver seems dramatic and way to worried.
I will agree on both of those. I'm kind of weird I guess I don't take photos with people like if I went someplace in Middle famous person I would never get a photo with them. And also I have photos of myself on social media but that's because I put them there. I hate when I say something stupid on there and I become one of those posts ... you know the ones where you get mocked and everybody that you don't even know gangs up on you ... as an introvert I think that it's against the rules and it should be illegal
No one knew who he was until he did this interview and if I was in fear of my life I wouldn’t do an interview on an international publication source showing my face and giving more details about my personal life but I guess everyone copes in different ways 🤦🏽♀️

It's really important for public figures and influencers to understand the impact they have when they use their platform to speak out. They should always use their influence responsibly and with empathy, taking into account the potential harm that can come from sharing private information or participating in public shaming.
But this incident is a reminder for all of us, not just public figures, to be mindful and compassionate in our online interactions. We all play a role in creating a positive digital space, where respect and empathy are at the forefront. By fostering this kind of culture, we can make the internet a safer and more understanding place for everyone involved.
Well said.

Not "the Snoop!" 😂 But seriously, I have delivered for Uber Eats and Postmates and can tell you there were many times I went to places that weren't safe. And one time, I refused to get out of my car because the area was sketchy. The customer understood and still tipped me. As a customer, if you live in a nondescript, sketchy, or difficult to find location, do your part and make it easier for the person delivering. Don't expect them to come to your door.
Yup I just started to walk out to the road and meet them. I live in a nice place but the way the mail boxes are set up they sometimes end up delivering it to my neighbors house. I guess they don’t look at the house number sometimes on the front of my house. The drivers seem to really appreciate it when I walk out and don’t make them drop it off also.

I am a Uber Eats driver. Normally I text "on my way" and "I have arrived" when I am at the destination. Usually you have to take a picture when you are leaving food at the place for the person to grab it. If you hand the food directly to the person you can skip the picture and say "delivered in person." So the Uber Driver is lying and trying to get money. In my eyes everyone's name is Sue.

Snoop should know better. Make your complaint to the company. This man deserves his privacy. This is just insane. Wow ❗️
I don't really think it's snoops fault nor the drivers
@Volden Dream He had the right to complain like any other customer, but why involve others in his bad experience. Make a complaint and be done with it. Snoop just went a little overboard with the review posting on social media. The driver just needs to chill and get a route he's used to going to. He was simply afraid and panicked because he was lost.
Dude gave up his privacy when he became an Uber eats driver… how do you think snoop dogg got his information? I’m pretty sure anybody that orders from Uber eats if they got him as a driver they would know who he was if they had to file a complaint about their food as well… this situation was pretty much about bad communication but once again snoop didn’t have to leak his info and put him on blast especially since he knows how his followers will react to his complaint and the Uber eats driver is only trying to sue to take advantage of the fact that it was snoop dogg that filed a complaint to make money off of him… so the only genuine person I see in this situation is snoop not getting his food and is using his rights of freedom of speech to vent to how he felt about the service he was provided from this dude 💯💯

As a gig driver myself I’m am aware that you can see the location of pickup and location of drop off before accepting an order. Inglewood isn’t safe but driver chose to accept that order; other option he could have simply sent a picture of food left at front gate and mark it as delivered. @@shera4376 thats a lie. If you dont like your food you cant get a refund for your food but If you didnt recieve an item you can report it and they refund that item. i've had hundreds upon hundreds of doordash delivery over the last 3 years and only two incident were i had issues but they were minimal and mostly the restaurants fault. sometimes customers tend to have "terrible experiences" if they often tip nothing or very low. i generally tip 5 bucks minimum no matter how close the place is. add a buck per mile, another buck if it's late at night, a buck for bad weather. so yeah tipping well actually pays off. food most of the time is warm or hot and arrives very quickly. again hardly any issues with nearly all of the delivery. you big complainers are probably *_TERRIBLE_* tippers 🤣

@@jamesrobert782That’s literally what the comment you responded to said.
@@jamesrobert782 How is this Uber's fault??? Snoop put the order in but didn't respond to the texts. The driver waited too long. If he didn't feel safe he should have cancelled the order. Snoop should never have posted this complaint. This is mostly Snoop's fault. The driver was being way too nice, and Uber had no idea any of this was happening. Maybe Uber can post warnings to drivers if they are entering an area other drivers have had issues in. This removes prejudices about what may or may not be a safe neighborhood and makes it objective based on actual incidences....Drivers brave enough to still make the delivery can keep a higher percentage of the fees.

I'm honestly surprised he orders his own food. The dude pulls in almost 20 million a year. He can have someone make sure he has food full time, whether cooked from home or ordered for him. But Snoop lives in Chino Hills, one of my friends use to live in the same gated community as Snoop 10 years ago and we passed his house a few times. That area is very very safe.
Nah he lives in diamond bar. But his gated community is virtually in the border of chino hills. I live here in Chino Hills and do a lot of deliveries to his gated community he lives in. Okay, I deleted my previous post because I didn't see that Snoop actually did respond to the text messages. Sorry, Said. The whole this is not safe thing, not buying it. I also drive for Uber. But once you pick up the food at the restaurant, you're committed.
Well Uber should have some type of map like other restaurants that tells them whether or not is safe to deliver in certain areas.
@@virtuouslady5679 Uber cannot discriminate against areas; that will lead to a lawsuit. However, they do share the area a delivery will be made to when giving the initial offer; drivers just have to take the time to look at it and see where an order will be going and make a personal choice from there.
How it can be not safe ? Question from non American . Also assuming Snoop lives in wealthy neighborhood which is protected ?
@@ASDMJKE as indicated in the video, the area the food was supposed to be delivered to was an industrial area. These areas are often desolate and empty, especially at night, and often can be places where crimes such as robbery and assault happens. It's also a lot of seedy activity that goes on, such as drug deals. However, in this instance I wonder if the driver meant when he said "it's not safe" that it wasn't safe to leave the food, as in if he just left the food at the location he feel that it would be stolen. However, when people choose to have their food left at the door as it seemed that Snoop did, you just leave the food. They paid to have it left and it's not our worry once we deliver it.
